God says the fear of man is a snare … often we don’t say no when we should because we feel guilty about setting a boundary… or we don’t want to deal with the disapproval of others … Serving others is good if the motive is to serve God … God showed me that the root of my people pleasing was to control and yes Sarah you hit it on the nail it is manipulation… it brings a false sense of security … it’s ok to want to be liked and loved but that desire should not control you into becoming a people pleaser … we can’t do the right thing if we are allowing our need for approval to control us

Lovely and true message indeed we live in a time where pleasing people is better than being unique. I was also in a situation at school where I was in a group of friends of which I had to please the group of friends I was in but I was not being fully me. Now that I have detached from that friend group I am finally living life and I have a new group of friends I hang around with of which I was friends with before but didn't hang around them often. I thank God for guiding me through the process and making me feel free in a place of where I am meant to receive an education. I also pray that God protects me and guides me in the preparation season for my examination season. Thank you pastor Sarah you are a blessing to many lives.
