When I came home from the army in '69 I used to sit near a '47 Hudson in an oak woods junk yard in southern Wisconsin. Like the song says, "long, long time ago."
Thanks, and that Hudson Truck 1949..........! OVWR THE Top. *I finally bought my first Truck in 2007: GMC CANYON 2 DOOR/REAR WHEEL DRIVE4 CYL , LOADED In Color Burgandy... AMYWAYS,the Truck scene is improving last couple of years...interestingly, a couple of DODGE Power WagoNS HERE in MONTAMA,more interesting in unusual DODGE PICKUPS, etc.
Dang the Green Pontiac and camper was my obvious choice but then you hadda show that Hudson truck! I just thought it was going to be a home made jobber, but factory, dang!
Can't be than hard to fab runners so L98 SBC TPI to a Pontaic V8. Just the runners and coolant crossovers stock valley pan would work fine. Not only do the look cool but they make great torque and the Poncho V8's are more about torque than HP anyway. With a reproduction set of the HO\RA III exhaust manifolds it could be fairly stealthy too. That car would be way cooler with a proper Pontiac mill under the hood.
Gotta love Dennis
