Very good year with most of the improvements and many more Options . It has the rare Bucket Seats that were in only about 3% because because it made the car a 5 passenger . The 2nd year for disc brakes while the Power top switch next to the gas filler door (07:06 ) was 66-67 only and used the Trunk key . The front section looks seamless with just the hood opening area, but the Fender seam joins the center section right above the inboard quad lights and was filled with Lead , 66 was also the last year Detroit used Lead on cars to hide joints . This 66 was also the 1st year for dual pumps in the trunk to run the Power Top. The 61-65 had one unit on the passenger side trunk cavity that ran over to the drivers side , engineers split the load with the second pump but both used the main ATF Tank place below the rear speaker at the 06:47 mark . My guess is that the Wixom Plant loaded up these cars for the Dealer Inventory because this car was about $6300.00 and if it was ordered it has $1000.00 in extras just for the AC, bucket seats and Radio but it has manual vent windows when the Power Vent option was only $70.00 . Depending on where I lived for the climate.....I wouldn't get AC on a Convertible . He's got a really nice car and the 4 door convertibles and popular where the resale price has climbed , even for the 4 door sedan .

The 462 in the Continental was a stroked 430. The 385 series 460 was launched in the Mark III in April 1968
Holy #@$# that Lincoln 462 has 4.38" bore just a tick larger than the 460.
