Thanks for sharing. It cold up here in the Northeast now. This is great poured into a mug and microwaved for a minute - topped with whipped cream. Best hot toddy..
@@ItIsaKeeper I'm getting ready to make this tomorrow... using the rings and lids (canning jars) how long would you say is shelf storage range? Months or Year? Thank you 😊
Can it be stored cold? I have a dark cellar that's probably zero degrees for months on end in Alaska or should it be kept at about room temperature in a dark place?
@@ItIsaKeeper thanks. I just figured I'd be easier than keeping it on the counter or in a cabinet with a towel on top or something for darkness. It's going to be below zero for the high in about two days here in Fairbanks
Is there other Moonshine you do I done apple pie 🥧 will be doing peach 🍑 what about blueberry or pine apple moonshine. Your videos are made easy to understand thank you
In the video you are making a double batch but you only put in 750 ml of ever clear however your half batch recipe says to use 750 ml. Do you use 1 or 2 bottles of ever clear for a double batch?
@@ItIsaKeeper I did look at the recipe last night and the ever clear amount doesn’t match what you did in the video. In the video you said you were making a double batch but you only show 1 -750ml bottle of ever clear. If I follow the printed recipe and did a double batch I would add 2- 750 ml bottles. I’m just wanted to know which is correct.
I read and re-read the recipe a few times and am at the point where I add the liquor. Now I see in the video that your recipe is based on gallons, not half gallons, which for me is too late being I already added all that sugar. That being said, how am I supposed to fix this without losing money?

The recipe calls for 64oz of juice and 64oz of cider. Look like you use a gallon of cider and half a gallon of juice. Just wanna to make sure of the amounts. Thanks.
If you are using 190 proof grain alcohol, I would HIGHLY recommend waiting 8-12 weeks. The alcohol flavor needs to mellow. If you are using a lesser proof alcohol, you may be able to get away with drinking it sooner. Enjoy!

What a great suggestion! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm from the northeast too so I know how cold it's getting! BRRR!
I can't wait to try this recipe! How do you seal your jars to keep them shelf stable? Thanks!
With just the regular rings and lids, the alcohol content keeps the shine good.
@@ItIsaKeeper thank you!

That should be fine. It doesn't need to be refrigerated but cold won't hurt it.

I made you apple pie and peach moonshine. OMGoodness. Delicious and I used the 150 everclear. Do you need to refrigerate either after opening.
No the 150 should preserve it.
How much sugar do you use Randy from Indiana thank you.
The full printable recipe is in the video description.
Lol. Was on your blog today and stumbled on this now
Hope you like it!
Is apple cider actually apple cider vinegar because I don't think we have apple cider in Australia just in some sort of juice
I is fermented apple juice not the vinegar.
Do you use 128 oz of apple cider as video shows or 64 oz that the printed recipe shows for a single batch??
1 gallon of cider makes a double batch of moonshine. For a single batch, use 64 oz of cider. I included this note in the video description.
Could you use drops of cinnamon oil?
I never have so I am not sure of the potency.
Do you have to seal the mason jar or just close it!!!!! Help please
No sealing necessary. Just hand tighten.
This is the most American thing ever. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What is the alcohol percentage?
I do not have the ability to test the alcohol percentage. I do use 190 proof alcohol to make the recipe.
As a person with hearing challenges the music really competes with your voice. Would you consider making some vids without music?

@@stacybabe87 I'd like to know that too since I've added all the sugar that was in the recipe!
How much cinnamon schnapps would you use?
I've never added cinnamon schnapps. You'll have to play around with it. I would start with a small amount and build from there.

How long is shelf life if we just put the kids on
Not sure what you're asking?
When you double the recipe do you use 28 cinnamon sticks?
Yes, I do. If you don't like that much cinnamon, you can feel free to cut it back.
You should mention the amount of each item while you speak and pour it in. It may get you more views

Honestly prices for everything a varying so much these days, the best thing to do is check in your area.
Boiling the cider does this not reduce the %??
It does not reduce the alcohol content because you add the alcohol once it's cooled.

Do you really have to wait 2 to 3 months to actually drink this?
No, but it does get waaay smoother the longer it sits. Flavors come out better as well. I make this every year
