Rockstar had the full potential to put this in. They put new austin in although we barely get to access it until you complete the game. Mexico was very good in red dead one
I believe that the main reason for them including new austin at all was because of the rdr2 map leaks that happened before the games launch. I wish that with their change of mind about the inclusion of NA would have been cause for a delay of the games release or a dlc lineup that would include a finished NA, Mexico and Gauma.

It probably would conflict with rdr1 so i have to disagree. But it would be nice if there could be some missions for Arthur, since he dies in rdr2, hence no conflicting with existing story

i just cant believe that this is just a mod it feels like a dlc with the quality and the detail its kinda sad rockstar did not make any dlc for rdr2 still a great game it would have been nice if rockstar made an official version of nuevo paraiso for red dead 2
Massive props to the creator of this! Ah, what could've been! Having a huge Mexico expansion for Online would've epic! It's an awesome setting. Currently playing through Red Dead 1 for the first time. Just completed the Mexico portion so very fresh in my mind! They can't have recreated New Austin from scratch in RDR2 though, surely? So presumably they just copy and pasted that section of the map whole, complete with it's assets and just updated the render quality. I guess and they put the work in to make everything seem a lot less run down in Armadillo and Tumbleweed. There's no reason why they couldn't still do the same with Mexico, if they wanted to, which sadly they don't, because they stopped support of RDO. :/
Found it, I can't play RDR1 on pc, so I'm gonna be using these stuff to make the epilogue feel like it until the RDR1 remake comes, or I manage to optomize one of the emulators, thanks
when this mod is finished i could probably fix the empty parts with objects and peds until the update is out then i will get rid of the mod! but i cant get the mod unless i have permission.

This is by far the best mod ive seen for rdr2 if i had a pc id instal it right away even though it isnt totally finished if only rockstar didnt cut out all the cool things they couldve added, they wouldve made so much more money too😂
They should have just made New hanover/the heartlands area smaller and added mexico instead. So much green and grasslands doesn’t seem right in a wild west game imo

All I ever wanted was the ambient noises and maybe some of the Mexico music from the first game to be put into the 2nd installment I get tired of hearing the same music when riding through new Austin it’s not as special if they added the right music rdr2 would’ve been actually perfect

The mod itself hasn't been updated, but there's a mod by DRixus724 made to be used with this one called Mexico Expansion Project that adds accurate railroads and functional trains and new structures and such.
..You know, some talented guys if make a team could also turn RDR2 whole Map to a Age of Chivarly (Medieval Ages) and remove-replace every building and clothes that resemble Wild West. Because there are rumors of a medieval game by RockStar but I think it is just a dream or a fool's hope. I think more "easier" could be this by Mod makers here on RDR2 Game. 1) we have already medieval mod weapons and cool fight combat melee animations reminding assasins creed game but more natural than A.C. Weapons already like zavala sword or double axes and daggers already here so more weapons with already animations could be a way to start building it 2) thanks to outfit changer we have on offline mode all the clothing stuff from online and also more mods that unlock the online stuff general, not only clothing and I must tell already coats, cloaks, glooves, boots.. clothes general and head helmets, masks etc already are here 3) wildlife and horses already here also and with horse changer mod (pimp my horse) we can make custom manes or tails and dress even our horse with masks on head. Also the animations are so realistic powerful that could be also be placed more legendary animals or mythology ones , for example instead cormorant a dragon.. 4) the map general could be already fantastic - majestic as it is but instead wild west era, castles and towns and villages, it has everything to gather a lot of stuff here , from caves, incredible landscapes, wonderful deeps, swamps, lakes and includes desert land, mountains, high places, valleys, forests, so castles in high mountains like Skyrim or valleys or on desert other cultures would be so EPIC 5) I forgot to mention that Guarma Land could be turned to a Pirate Era place for more Jack Sparrow adventures there (only Guarma) The most hard part on this procedure are the animations. But thankfully there are already on any part here by the DEVS and this is the most COOL part that open the gates from a project Mod like this I'm talking too: Animations from wildlife to weapons to NPC like mostly humans horses environment skies.. So We have already on the table of making a mod like this ready assets by the DEVS that already have given room for Mods and always I know RockStar allow mod makers to modify their games and for me this is the Best part by RockStar. Then we need a great stuff of Medieval Age buildings. I think with Editor mod and of course the use of coding things ... will be removed any building or replaced by medieval style, like butcher place, is ready only change the sailor and his voice.. Only it takes is a devoted, very expert team with patience and enthusiasm feelings and of course year to years at least 5-6 to complete this.. But year after year, beta by beta, release by release the thing will be done and will be so Fantastic Mod! First by removing every building that resembles Wild West Era and replace the clothes of Wild West to medieval ones and if you ask me already are many medieval clothes here on online stuff and very few on offline as well and other cloaks and coats or boots and stuff that resemble a lot to Chivarly Age, for example - morning cloak (assasins creed easy or a knight cloak easier) (crusader style helmets, viking ones, or savages and more more...!!!) This is obviously an awesome mod, But they still have something that are not Fit with mexico or RDR1, The weather and the terrain effect, in rdr1 All of this looks like the real thing, As long as you have some experiences in the wild In the country side not like some silly Metropolitan man go around Sometime in the vacation with a Camera And And take photo with PS effect.

I’m actually glad Mexico didn’t make it into the game. I want to say the reason it was cut was because it was just unnecessary one, but also the budget for Mexico was probably used to flush out the rest of the open world with the back stories and nuances that we wouldn’t have had Mexico been in the game. It would’ve been GTA V all over again.

its a shame the npcs dont walk or run away when attacked due to that part of the map causing Ai to break

I installed this mod, but objects float in the air, walls are invisible and you can't find people. What is wrong?
