I think the epilogue was one of the last things they worked on and part of me believes they did ran out of time when it came to things like Johns character model. They should have pushed the game release date back another 6-9 months until John looked perfect and other things wear fixed.
@@StuartLugsden That and Guarma feels that way. You think they’d plan that out first. This game feels so disconnected from RDR1. Characters seem like complete different people than the monsters John claimed them to be in the first. Like they wanted to humanize the whole gang or something.
@@Nothingforever192 Guarma serves a purpose that was poorly executed. This is why the game needed a delay.
The tiny oversight of not giving us multiple bandana options, scarves etc and ponchos deprived us of such awesome outfit possibilities
The lack of ponchos was very disappointing.
I preferred the preset outfits in the first game than making your own in RDR2 because the options to choose from weren’t that great
I wish we got ponchos, belts for pants instead of suspenders, different bandolier options and the option to purchase a knife belt loop like John had in the OG
@@spookmaster420 Yeah, also choosing the positioning of the offhand holster, cos it kinda ruins some outfits, being able to wear it on your other hip like Dutch would’ve been awesome cos it looks so much better imo. I also wish we could have the rifle holster for John’s classic outfit, we could still have two long arms but it just shows one obviously and whichever you have chosen shows on your back
@@wolfy9549 I miss the rifle holster so much, I also forgot about how the lasso would peak out of the satchel which was always a cool visual.
And don’t get me started on the off-hand holster I absolutely despise how it clips through the belt and makes the jackets glitch
@@spookmaster420 yeah Johns classic look is so damn average compared to the original. And the offhand absolutely ruins outfits I’d rather just not have it sometimes

At first most of the complains around John didn't really bother me. After seeing the difference between the vanilla version and a modded version I came to realise that those complaints are justified. This company game this game so much love, they made a beautiful story , they gave it a disgusting amount of detail and yet they messed up John so badly and they refuse to fix it. How and why?
because there to lazy to fix anything for john and mainly there working on Grand Theft Auto 6

As much as I love Arthur (and trust me, I do) RDR 1 John will be forever be my favorite gunslinging protagonist. His demeanor, style, and all around story is as great as the day I first played in. I love seeing these outfits remade by fans. Just shows that if they wanted to remaster Red Red Redemption, it’s basically already in the game. Would love a Red Dead Revolver reboot one day if they choose to deviate from the Vander Linde gang.
Same. I think I like them the same, but something about how straightforward and sharp John is just makes him so cool. Arthur is obviously smart and badass too, but John is a different kind. He’s more articulate in RDR1, his voice is deeper, and his demeanor is just awesome.
Good news its getting a remaster/port
God RDR1’s soundtrack was so badass. Red Dead 2’s was good but it couldn’t match the original’s for me

@@praiseaidan here's a fun fact to you: The suit that John used in the Saint Denis heist of chapter 4 is similar to the elegant suit.

Modders mod things that only exist because of the companies lol. They don’t make the story. The only thing R* did wrong is make John look younger. Oh wait he is. That’s when modders come in and make him look years older. Might as well not be 1901 but 1911
@@TheBatmanMonomaniac he doesn’t “just look Younger” he looks insanely different than he did in rdr1 also the rdr2 epilogue takes place in 1907 not 1901 so Rdr1 is only 4 years later so that excuse doesn’t hold up. Word of advice, wipe your chin it’s dripping from rockstar’s skeet oh and pull their pants up while you’re at it.

Man it’s kinda depressing how much cooler these look than what we got, I’m not sure what it’s called but that back rifle holder being absent from the game is a sin. Looks so cool

The sad part is they have Rifle Holsters as display in gunshops or you see one in John's house it looks like Arthur's holster but bigger and for the back.

I remember the first time seeing John's hair design in rdr1 combined with the cowboy outfit and thought that was the coolest badass outlaw ever but then when rdr2 i expected him to look exactly like in rdr1 but was confused as to how rockstar messed up his hair 😢

@@Beau-Bowhich you see most the time during gameplay. Id rather have long hair in the back instead of fading to try and fix a problem only the devs can. Atleast if its regular long hair i can pretend its fine 😅
@@fenderstrat2202 i’ve re-reviewed it. the reason why the fade works so well is because the normal version makes the hair poof out, but the fade makes it normal

It took away that feeling that something isn't right with our Jhonny boy.
I don't know why, but it feels odd playing rdr2, it was not the experience i was hoping for.
I loved so much the musics of the first one, the atmosphere, the biblical references...

RDR2 is superior in every way to me but yeah a proper RDR1 remake would be awesome. RDR1 is still one hell of a game.

I loved the Bollard Twins outfit in RDR1 and always rocked that whenever I wasn’t in Mexico. When I was in Mexico, I always wore the poncho.

Biggest thing I hate about rdr2 is the guns on your back. I liked how rdr1 did it with the stock upwards
It makes more sense for the barrel to be pointing up so dirt wont get in the barrel also easier to draw and I could interchange them they’re both fine to me

Edit: literally only two inaccuracies I can tell.. is that you have two knives.. one above satchel on the hip is correct.. but there is one still behind the gun holster *(I assume you know this probably you probably can’t remove it for reasons etc..)*
The other one is John not having his rancher vest open.. **probably can’t do much ‘bout that either.**
thank you for the comment! the RDR1 knife position is tied to the rdr1 belt. while the knife sheath can be removed. you have to disable it every time you change outfits and sometimes i forgot. And about the rancher vest, without model support if the sleeves are rolled down the middle of the open rancher vest area will be invisible. and if you can glitch it to get the full shirt model it clips badly in all areas.
@@praiseaidan ahh I know exactly what you’re talking about with the rancher vest problem!.. I did a glitch to open it once.. and if you roll down sleeves while it’s open it just becomes a invisible torso!.. kinda sucks, but I understand your pain lol!
I just wish the mod had an accurate version of the expert hunter outfit. It's the most inaccurate outfit out of all of them. It's not even the same hat

@@I_JetFuture_I i don't think there are any models in the game that could be accurate to expert hunter. the only outfit that i had to make myself was undead hunter and it also is sort of innaccurate.

On the expert hunter outfit, I think the hat is more similar to the badger hat than the racoon hat

You know what we see in promotional art like arthurs Green gunslinger,John's blue denim vest, and John's fancy gunslinger from rdr1 are some of the best looking outfits. Yet only by the use of mods or in-game items can we replicate these outfits. It's just sad that they don't give us the outfits .
The hair doesn't look good but other than that, fantastic. I wish someone would take John's NPC hair and shorten it properly for a proper 1911 mod.

People want rdr 1 renake R*, give the people what they want!! Also, I never liked the rope outside the satchel and the rifle holster, It felt like a fantasy wild west (I know, but it Just feels wrong to me), I like the new way the carry they're guns in a realistic fashion

The RDR1 Accurate Outfits Overhaul was been taking down, do you have the file to download it? or is there any other way to use the rdr1 outfits? (not the classic outfit, but the mexican poncho, deadly assasin, etc.)
Jmrp outfits is what you're looking for, the only thing rdr1 outfit overhaul added to this was the elegant suit pants
