*** This is the fourth Speed Run video of my Wltoys 124019 "SLEEPER " rc buggy which is running with a Single 3s Lipo battery (2200 mAh).

i alraedy try your setup only get 146 kmh 3s 120c..how u made 165kmh??
@@muhammadeiskandar3687 There are many factors (internal & external) that can affect the top speed ... to give you some examples : wheel alignment, battery, transmitter, road condition, etc ... it´s not just about using the same motor & ESC
Nice. I have a sidewinder 4 7700kv motor and ESC I'm putting it a a959 build I'm doing. I know it's a lot for the car but I'm going to try and make it take it. I got some wheel extenders I'm going to try and just put them on the back only and see how it does. Should help me from rolling. Im making the front a little lower than the back. I bought some sticker weights in case it needs it, made a big down force front bumper

How did the original pinion fit on the motor shaft if its 3.2mm and the original pinion is 3.175mm
The motor used in this setup has 3.17 mm shaft , so no problem
So for playing around and speed (not so much track racing), do you like this 124019? Or the 104001 1/10th scale??
Yes, I like more the 124019 because you feel more the speed since it is a smaller rc car ... going fast with a smaller scale rc car is also challenging , on how you keep it planted to the ground at 100+ mph especially to an Open-wheel buggy. 😀
With the 7700kv motor can it still handle stock wheels and grass or is there not enough torque now? Thanks
I dont run this setup on grass, but Im sure that the stock wheels with explode with this motor even on 2s lipo only

Is it only recommended to use 2s lipo with castle hill motor? What is a cheaper esc alternative that you can use with the same setup?
The ESC used in this setup is already cheap and capable up to 4s ... you can try other cheap 120A ESCs but they dont have the same reliability as the Hobbywing
I think the Hobbywing Quicrun 10bl120 would do a good job. That ESC is for sure smaller. Fitting it in my 124016 and it is the same size as the stock ESC, but double the amps.
I'm trying to find the size of the screw and threads for the A959 rear control arm pins. The ones that have the threads only on the bolt near the head. Anyone know this
There is a kit of bolts and screws for Wltoys 144001 where you can get some that you can also use for the A959

Always check the ESC & motor temps after every run.
Ide like to try this motor with my 60amp HW esc , is this motor ok for 3s speed runs?. It says 2s
If you watched the video, I speedrun it with 3s lipo without any issue ... just check the temps, and avoid heavy bashing with 3s
Hey man! What are those body mount extensions you have on the car? I can’t seem to find extenders like that.
Those are aluminum body posts, you can also use any plastic body post which are 50 mm or longer

I cant recommend any specific motor to match the perfomance of this Castle motor. since every manufacturer makes their motor differently. You can try other 3650 motors that have more or less the same kv but I cant guarantee that you will gwt the same result.
whats the max kv for 60A esc? standard esc on 124019 model ..sorry unrelated question ...
The brushed motors are not rated by KV but by Turns (T) ... the stock motor is equivalent to 20T, so you can use a 17T without any issue

Dont use 9000 kv lool too much no torque, use like 3 k on 6s or 4 k on 4s

@@rcnightlife9611 better to order 6900 kv thst is too high you ll burn it, or 5200 kv it ll be faster than that and and more reliable, and usually cheaper.

Yes, I changed the motor because that motor was not safe to run with 3s lipo battery.

What kind and size of tires are You using for this project? :) I saw people go for 26mm, 30mm or 32mm.

i using 9000kv esc150a on 124019 gear 27T pinion nd 44T spur, can i high little pinion or lower the pinion and spur get top speed..
another thing sometime when get far away my rc get cogging problem, why that?
It´s not easy to change the gearing of Wltoys because of the very rare 0.7 Mod gear pitch ... cogging is common issue with unsensored motors especially when using cheaper ESCs... a better ESC has less cogging issue. Thanks for watching! 👍

I have the castle 5700kv in mine that only does 94mph on 4s! Imagine yours on 4s! Is it 2s or 3s rated that motor?
Probably 2s
Manufacturer rated it for 2s only but I never had problems speed running it in 3s
@@RcModwerks23 I'd try it on 4s 🤭 mines rated for 3s but like you I have no problems on 4s. What's the worse that can happen? Just do 1 run at a time and let it cool down before next run. There's 115mph+ in that car on 4s easy 🤘🏻 world record is 117mph I think? I could be wrong
@@ksrnate That´s a common practice among speed runners, some are even running a 9000 kv on 4s .. there will be no problem as long as you know what you are doing 👍 BTW, the new 124019 record is 118 MPH on 6s ... but Im still very far from that speed , I´m happy now at +100 mph and going faster little by little .

This rc car has stock gearing, I dont change them unless they are broken
Is it safe to use that motor on 3s
It depends on your driving style, if you speed run it only (very short runs) like what I do in this video then it is OK as long as you watch your temps ... but if you bash it then it might get hot very quick.

It was working well for me, but it might Not be applicable for everybody since the Driving style makes much difference.
