You are SO criminally underrated. Very, very good editing. though i do recommend: you should definitely try motion controls. It seems like a classic Nintendo gimmick, but I can assure you its not, and pretty much every tournament level competitive player uses them. I think you will find the game is much more suited for them compared to stick.
Thanks, and I do use motion! I briefly tried to play without them but it was not a fun experience at all. If there is one thing that Nintendo does right it's motion aiming. It works great in Breath of the Wild as well.
Sooo, a few things. You hit the nail on the head with the map design complaint. Alot of the modes are completely fine, but the map design doesn't support the gameplay well. (It's weird because Splatoon 1 didn't have this issue as much as the other two games). As for why the devs timelock everything, I believe they want to prevent players from acting on a constant bias towards a specific mode or stage. It supports versatility in players and prevents a situation where some modes or stages get entirely avoided. Even if this is the case, the execution still sucks. And about the server thing......there is no servers. Splatoon uses peer to peer connections and it's why the connectivity is so awful. Splatoon fans have begged on our knees for servers for years and it still hasn't happened. Splatoon 1 felt better because the Wii U had a higher tick rate. The Switch is lower. Like most Splatoon veterans, I absolutely despise the online, but we have stuck around this whole time. I guess it's a testament to how good this game is in spite of it being handled poorly.
That last part is the truth for sure. If it was a standard FPS game on my PC and had this type of online performance I wouldn't stick around. As far as the schedule goes I can see the argument some but I still think it's unnecessary. I can see it making sense for maps, but I still think 4 at a time would be a much better split. For modes, I just can't defend it at all. If they're scared that players will never play a mode like Clam Blitz maybe they could do more to make that mode attractive to players? It's a complicated issue with no real "right" answer, I just wish they didn't split the baby the way they have. I tend to prefer games which give player the greatest choice to play the game they way they want to.
@@drdankbot They had the chance to make all modes available with the Anarchy (Open). It's basically the Unranked for splatoon. They could have let players choose what mode they wanted to queue in and let Anarchy (Series) be the sweaty classic mode rotation. The good news is, in the future we're getting X Ranked battles and League battles. They will both run their own mode, so there will be sorta be more options....I guess.
Once you learn how to play clamblitz, and do it in a call with friends, theirs no going back, clamblitz with a team on call is the most fun way of playing the game, by far, there is a insane amount of depth in funny football mode.
this review taught me more about splatoon than the videos made by actual splatoon content creators. it was also just a really fun video. its insane that you don't even have 1k subs
While I agree with the comments in that this is a good video and review, I just want to say that none of them so far have pointed out the 360 kills you where doing in-game and I don’t think that’s fair to you
I totally agree with the timing thing, to be honest I don’t really like the stages in splatoon 3, I too am someone who played the first game a long time ago and picked the series back up, but comparing the first games stages to the thirds, I don’t find them quite as enjoyable. I do know the some stages like Museum dalfonsino, and Mahi Mahi resort are returning from the first game, but those stages have so many changes made to them they aren’t as fun as they were.
The map design doesn't feel super strong, especially for Turf War. The larger maps I think fare better overall but some maps like Inkblot Academy I don't enjoy at all. If we get more large maps I'd like to see them go wider as well because many of the big maps are just long bois right now.
Hey bro. I think its time to get back into Splatoon 3 and make a video as a follow up for this one. Id also recommend speaking with some Splatoon players in some discords and talk with some of of the youtubers if you can because holy shit this game still has issues
I've been busy with other games and projects to get back in myself but I may look into it. What are some of the big issues? I'm pretty out of the loop on it because I haven't played since this summer.
@@drdankbot for some, they still haven't removed the god AWFUL rotation system, most of the maps are still pretty shit, splatfests haven't been fun and shiver has been winning most of them, the new challanges mode have been aweful since they're supposed to be a replacement for league battles, which was what anarchy open was in Splatoon 2, salmon run has barely gotten any new content besides having 1 new king salmonoid a year after the game launched, and the game losing 90% of its popularity.
