Hey man, thanks for this video. I still can't fully wrap my head around so many people watching me hide in a bush all day, but if it makes anyone's day a little better I'm all for it.
The legend himself! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I'm glad you're a positive presence for so many. Hope to see your UA-cam channel shoot to the moon!
You too, buddy. Very well made video. Made my day to watch it@@drdankbot
Beautiful stuff man you're just being you & you have some wisdom & compassion in it, much needed in a world moving mile a minute! I do see & feel how battle Royale games have really stripped the fun out of gaming & more so just hunger games tf out of us.
As an older player I appreciate u brother 😎 stay positive my friend
Hey I’ve been watching you for years but didn’t know you had social platforms. Market yourself! Happy to have found you
He hit unreal by not giving a fuck while others literally broke equipment in the process of getting there.
"I was watching a lot of really sweaty men" relatable
Honestly.... Yeah

I’m a 52 yo mom and I love playing Fortnite just trying to get in the final two every game. I’ve had my share of storm wins and some great fights (lost and won), but if it’s not feeling fun I just turn it off and do something else. No need to lose your mind over a game that doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. BCD knows what it’s about!
I'm 50 and play. I find it amusing. And seriously, if it begins to get frustrating, there's always something else to do, whether it's another game or a TV show or a project or whatever. Games aren't worth the frustration. They're supposed to be fun!
You have the right mindset. Too many people forget what games are for.
I'm a youngster and I see where you're going when you say one shouldn't lose their mind over a game. There are much bigger things that you could find frustrating and I don't think video games should fit into that category (unless you're making a game then that is a different story). In the end, embrace the fun and creativity that is in the video games we play!
BCD Has to be such a nice guy that rivals all sweats in the Fortnite community. He is really just a Fortnite legend

I discovered this guy a little while ago and he has given me a new lease on my Fortnite playtime. Sure I'll go out and play matches normally, but when I feel like things just aren't going my way, I'll hop in build mode, build myself a little stage and play jam tracks for the whole match, just watching how things play out. Sometimes people come and join for a while with their own jam tracks, while others specifically wait for the Weezer riff to play before one-shotting me, it's a fun change of pace to just see what happens.

I swear I talked about building a stage with my buddy and jamming out just to see what ppl would do! ❤

bushcamp dad is literally everyone that started playing in chapter 1

A multimillion dollar kick deal had me dead
I'll be 55 in July and Fortnite is my main game these days (PS5) although I do play others. I'm not the best but I'm also not the worst. I get 5 or 6 victories every weekend, which is really the only time I have to play because of this thing called "a job", just like BCD. Some people that I know can't believe that I still play video games, especially Fortnite which is "aimed" at a much younger audience. But the fact is, that I grew up on video games since the late 70's/early 80's and I still enjoy playing them. So, why not?
Hey, us older guys have our place in Fortnite 🫡 I'm 35 and I've been playing since CH1 Season 2. Still my favorite game of all time 🤙
@MeetMrMayhem88
You're not old buddy I say this as someone in their 20's 😂
wow that final win was actually big brain, you even see them try to build before they get eliminated

I’ve been playing fortnite with my son for years
I’ve always told him I don’t like the building and I get nervous around sweaty fights so I always try and hide until the end and try to take out the last couple of people.
Being 9 he disagrees and constantly pushes against my will xD
I’m so glad to see this man doing it my way xD
I’ve been nervous to put out content because I’m so bad at the game but this might just be the push I’ve always needed xD
What a legend.
I think BCD resonate in a lot of older players, we just want to play, we don't have time to grind our skills, it is what it is
BCD is what the world needs more of and I like that you highlighted him. Also that shot at Kik was beautiful lol

I think a lot of people keep playing even if it's a bad session. Now once I'm fed up I either hop on a calmer game or change activity completely. Unlike me, I have a friend who rages ALL THE TIME and keeps finding excuses on why he died and blames it on someone else. Have not played with him in like a month and it feels good :)
These people exist all over the gaming landscape, you're just not gonna find em in your games or live on twitch. I wonder what set of circumstances lead BushCampDad to going live for the first time.
I started playing fortntie br when it was 1 week old, and it's such a breath of fresh air, to see people like him
People like BushCampDad are who I aspire to be, chill vibes all around and such :)
Two days ago I decided to camp like him. I'm a dad and very close to his age group😂. I was in a bush fishing and someone saw me and give me his crown. Moments later the player came with a wagon and gave me a ride to rotate to a next bush. I was really impressed. I heard players making friends like that playing solo and I experienced it. Thank you player. I wish I could meet that player. Had on what looks like a crash test dummy skin.
Thank you algorithm for bringing me here. I've never heard of BCD but now I feel like I can stream to. I'm a 46 year old woman who plays Fortnite during the day while I run a household. My goal is solely for fun but also ranking up but I'm not a sweat. I'm just chilling here with my Xbox while I take care of my family. I've played Fortnite and just camped because I have do something in the house lol and when I come back I'm delightfully amused that I've reached 25 players...that's when I start moving to circle and think of some strategy sometimes there's no strategy because my loot pool is dry😂😂 and I wait on other players to knock themselves out and I swoop in and helped myself to whatever they dropped. The way BCD plays is very similar to my own gameplay except my aim is better 😂😂😂 but there's a lot to learn from his game style and that is it's a game just have fun. Sounds corny doesn't it but look at this dude his just doing it for funsies and ranking up while others are training in creative to aim better build better. I think I should start streaming too didn't know anyone would watch this kinda content of people landing and putting their controller aside while folding laundry 😂😂😂😂
I started playing to join with my son. I can't build, so play Zero Build only. I often spectate the player who kils me if I get to the last 10, as I want to see it through. I guess I have about 10% wins (I really only started this Season). My failing eyes and reactions are a definite disadvantage for sniping, but its great when I hit one.
I would do that but I’m far too impatient
This was a really well done video. Informative, well written, not too long. Wishing you many more subscribers!
My dad is 65 and really enjoys playing Fortnite. We used to play for Honor on the Wii when I was little, and when he saw me play Fortnite he wanted to try it out. He's been playing it for years now and he enjoys it way more than me. It's kinda sad though because he sees me playing with my friends in call and wishes he had a squad of his own :/
Bushcampdad is what Epic wants the player base to be. Me too.
I feel so related to BushCampDad (48 here, neither good at the game, pacifist and no building at all playing in building mode) but my objective is trying to do as much quests each match as possible, winning is secundary when not more quests are possible (or I didn't died trying them in the Storm). I don't like much camping (except in tournaments) but I love to play it stealthy and I would hate to have to train or practique to play the game or warm up. I love his positivity, I am usually more negative.
Yes, i also prioritize quests 😂
I miss the older season quests of finding items and stuff. It probably made your playstyle more fun!
@@drdankbot yes, it was fun running from one place to the other opposite part of the island in the same match
I don't care about Fortnite. I just came for Dr. DankBot like how Dr. DankBot came for BushCampDad.
i just came
He really embraces the silliness of the game, it's so refreshing to see his content :')
I got into Fortnite recently and in the zero build I'm having fun just doing the challenges and quests as my goals and winning the game as the last goal if a goal at all. I have hardly any care towards winning as it isn't the end all be all for the game mode.
This man would love old school RuneScape
Great video!
Games were always meant to be enjoyed while playing them" at least thats how I grew up playing mario.
and seeing this video reminds me to those lovely days! Thank you
Haven’t finished the video yet but that kick deal joke was pretty good I love finding criminally underrated channels
Wait till he finds out that bushes can be destroyed-
Bushcamp is the opposite of sweaty, he's just chillin in Unreal rank enjoying himself!
Watching this, I can't help but go "Hey, I play that way!" 47 year old player who mostly camps out, waiting for the end, only instead of a day job I read books.
I think you make a good point about just playing games for fun. For a long time I never really felt like that was the case but after taking like a two year break from anything except Genshin I’ve been having fun coming back and checking out all the cool stuff in Fortnite.
Lol
Amount of effort is crazy. Keep it up bro
You could start a series reviewing the different fortnite gamers this video was relaxing and informative. 👍
as a new player to fortnite (only a single season) i would love to keep the sense of joy i have playing this game, and watching Bushcamp gives me the hope that, no matter how many years pass, i can still enjoy the games i play.
Its wild seeing someone play with this philosophy in a competitive setting.
More people need to learn how to have fun win or lose. That's why you're playing a game. It's for fun.

This is actually awesome. I'm currently grinding zero build ranked, and am hoping i make unreal, but this is a cool way to go about it.
Great video, the outro had major general sam vibes
Wow, Didn't expect you to be here of all places but considering that apex is literally selling CSGO knives for the same price as weekly rent. Its A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
I used to binge his content 24/7 haha. The outro is actually that way because I have been hopelessly addicted to huffing vaporwave for like a decade.

People play games they hate because their addictive. There is also other reasons, competitive reasons, their friends only play that one game, ect. But it's true, I play fortnite, and I must say some days I hate it and want to destroy everything, but I keep playing it. I learn't to just turn games off when I start getting mad, and now I pretend I'm a streamer talking to chat when I lose and stuff, and man it's made gaming so much more enjoyable. Maybe I should try streaming, not even for money, the idea of having a yarn with chat while playing a game I love sounds amazing.
subbed bruh u funny asf
I’m 63 and started because my grandson wanted me to play
I only play zero I do it for relaxation
It was the same for me. My daughter-in-law really wanted to play with me. I`m 62
A buddy and I play competitive every season since s3c3. We always find specific areas on the map that are good hiding zones.
We've gotten 3 kills total between us since then.
We call ourselves "team second place"
And since finding bushcampdad, we've been absolutely obsessed with him.
Really sweaty men👍👍

Bush camp dad sounds awesome Just like him I have always played to have fun with mates if we win cool and if we lose no problem for me is just about vibing with mates watching the Master Chief fight Kratos and Doom slayer is just fun great video dude.
He’s honestly the reason I downloaded Fortnite again and he’s in the creator code for my binge purchases lol😅
bush camp dad hes awesome to watch for real
2:54 got me dying lol💀💀💀
I just can't do it. 2 minutes in a bush and I get so bored I just gotta move. But my second match that I ever played, I camped in a shack for the last few minutes and won a victory, I was surprised and delighted.
got you too 1,000 btw congrats
Legend
Ive never played Fortnite, but as a Warzone player, who is also a Pacifist for the most part, I appreciate BCD going against the norm and still having fun because thats what youre supposed to do😊.. I like to have fun playing zero kill/damage games in Warzone and just hide away and gasplay for wins. Zero sweat involved😂😂
2:19 I lack those skills and made it to Platinum II last season. I'm currently at Gold I already. Apparently on lifetime, I'm on the top 39% for win percentage at 5.1% too. Even though all my other meta stats are miserable.
3:01 lol
We were all bush camp dad when we started playing. We just lost our identities for the W.
Hey dude amazing video, unfortunate that it didn’t get received well by the algorith, You have earned yourself a new subscriber.
Thanks for the encouragement. Luckily, this comment aged poorly!
This man is a legend. My respect to him. I, myself, am a pretty garbage player who rather camps somewhere and waits for the players to go down instead of trying to kill everyone I see immediately
Nice reminds me of @jamcol gas plays
he has my play style. he is my new role model.
i love BushCampDad
Love it! This pretty much how I play (DadBotRoyale). Been at it since season 2 or 3 thanks to my son. Still terrible aim and can't build but love playing the game. My goal every season is just completing all the challenges and milestones and trying to unlock all rewards. Surprisingly end up with wins along the way. Gonna start watching BCD

Great video. I feel like all the points made were spot on. It becomes exhausting to see people who have made a fortune on playing games do nothing but bitch and scream about them. It’s also nice to slow down a bit and watch very casual gameplay with a kind community
BushCampDad is such a meme
I'm also a 50-year old Fortnite player. If there is a bush I usually take it for checking map, awaiting the next circle to unfold, healing etc. But I also blatantly kill people from bushes.
The thing is all those sweaty players complain about others not playing to their strengths. The game is designed the way you can play many strategies. Worst one would be playing to your enemies strengths & not your own. There's no way I would win buildfights against 20-year old sweats. I just can't keep up with their speed & mechanics.
So I play to my strengths & make it to top-10 maybe 50% of the games. I do usually loose final 1v1s, but that doesn't really bother me. Making it there: looting, hiding, exploring, running from the storm & taking random encounters has already given me plenty of enjoyable playtime. But when I win, it just feels all the more so satisfying.
Underrated comment, w
i am a VERY "sweaty" player and i might not be so relaxed about it, HOWEVER, i have fun learning, and since i am older...i try my BEST,
and continue to try my best not to let the stereotype that i cannot do crazy things, or learn them happen.
But i still have fun, -you could even say it is like this guy!!!, it was not long ago that i was a bush-camper who did not know 99% of the thing i do now, and that is fine, as long as i have fun.
I admit i do whine over things and get frustrated (at myself, especially if i cannot figure out HOW to do some crazy thing) but i...i love it, it keeps my mind fresh, and young...
i have a goal, and a purpose, -i don't JUST like pooping on the whole lobby, i like proving that i EARNED my win, and it gets harder and harder when people get better and crazier,
or with me: my mistakes...my inability for my hands to STOP PRESSING THE WRONG ORDER, or to BE fast enough...i WILL do it.
doesn't matter if i am a girl either, i will smash what i believe i can't do, or what my age might not allow me.
i always love to respect people who i can tell are just trying to have fun, and i am not opposed to letting an off-spawn opponent get away and have a real chance...
ALWAYS the most fun when we can face-off in the end in a glorious battle of the surviving! and have that cinematic moment of the friends becoming "enemies".
i just don't get people who are TOO serious, and who LITERALLY don't have fun, and who don't think, or...have a purpose, other than...whatever they are doing at that point.
i get bragging MAYBE, but still, it's no fun if i can't laugh or be goofy during a match. if i get ABSOLUTELY merked by something crazy, -like this guy, i LOVE it, it's hilarious!,
but i guess some people...maybe don't want to "see their KD go down"...-known a guy like that once...it was so sad, he could ONLY play with his "good" friends for arena and stats...lame!.
i am happy when i see someone enjoying themselves fully like this guy, and i hope people can understand me too, it's fun to go goofy or go crazy...maybe even both!.
Funny thing is that this is my FIRST shooting game, and...ANY sort of thing like this...i didn't have the internet until 2015, and i didn't play this until like, 2019,
and so i am WAY behind on ANY sort of rapid-pace skill younger people would have gotten, even from playing other games...i struggle SO hard to grab onto such "normal" things,
and i take longer, maybe with my hands not being accustomed to anything remotely similar...
yet i prevail, and i am CRUSHING, and i am learning to be really good, despite my disadvantages.
i used to be outside for 7+ hours a day when i was little and i feel sore easy from playing and i get sick from frame-drops...and as mentioned before...MY HANDS!!!!!!!!,
but i fight!!!, i fight and i am winning!!! (well, maybe this season currently i took a hit, for last seasons STUPID movement change messing my mind up, and the meta sucking).
But...yeah people can find meaning in all their activities, what matters most is if it is fun and fulfilling...what can be a waste to one, is not to the other,
the only waste is time spent hating what you're spending time on. (unless it's genuinely a bad thing, ofcourse lol)
entertaining asl. keep that shit up
Nice to know I’m not alone at age 50. I end up doing duos with my 10 year old stepson. I’ve mined ore in lego Fortnite admittedly while doing my normal job.
If I genuinely see this guy in a game, I'm giving him a high five if I can and giving him my elimination too lol
