Hi Mitzi! Love on the Line was a great book! Thank you for the recommendation. I kept thinking about you when I read the parts of Georgie and her birds❤
Hi Mitzi! I'm the one that gave you TIME AND AGAIN. I'm sorry you were disappointed in it and didn't love it as much as I do. I actually was fascinated with all the detail in the first part and I thought you wouldn't mind it since you read detailed books like Dickens and Austen, etc. And I don't remember any swearing in it at all, but I'll take your word for it! I would never send you a book full of swearing, because I don't like it either! I think the main person in it, Simon, was so endearing and so well-written! I actually felt like I was really going back in time when I read this book!
Thanks so much for sending it my way! I did enjoy it once I got into it. Yeah, there were several words and I always like to mention that since I have a lot of viewers who want to know. I look forward to trying the other one you sent me, too!
Love on the line sounds just the sort of book I would love. I saw a dreadful documentary once about decorating hats with tiny stuffed birds, I just couldn't believe it!! Birds bring such joy, just seeing or hearing one makes my day😊.
I had forgotten about the birds in Love on the Line. That's funny! 😂 It's true that people were obsessed with using actual bird parts on their clothing during that time in history, which I personally find kinda weird. I'm not one who loves birds - I like looking at them well enough I suppose 😂- but wearing real dead bird parts just seems kinda gross to me. 🤢
I read one in that series, I think it was Over What Hill. I really liked it. No, I was wrong, I read Older but Wilder: More Notes from the Pasture. There are 5 in the series and I wanted to read them all but haven't gone back and started at the beginning yet. Out to Pasture is the first.
I read Time and Again quite some time ago and loved it. I remember there was one passage where he described the winter scene in old New York that I loved so much. But I had no idea there was a second book, so now I’m on the hunt for it😊 when I find it, I’ll have to do a reread of time and again because I’ve forgotten so much, but that won’t be a hardship.
Thinking in that subplot about birds you should read Mrs Pankhursts Purple Feather by Tessa Boase, there you have all the fight for the birds that you could possibly want, and it's nonfiction, so the fight was real 😉🐦❤
I got Kira Kira A couple of yrs. ago; shame on me haven't read it yet. A young friend at church told me it was good. I often buy bks. for young readers at church. Thanks Mitzi🤗
I immediately got Time and Again from my library on Kindle. That one sounds so cool. I’m mildly interested in the other one (I’ve grown to like birds in my old age) but not enough to grab it.
yes, I think you'll enjoy the Time and Again one, but probably not the other lol. And thank you by he way for my mail! I'll be sharing that in a video soon! ❤

Oh my! I don't think I could watch that documentary- so sad.
I love that you're reading all the Newbery winners! There are so many great ones 🙂📖📚
Mitzi, I hope that you are okay from the storm. Thinking of you.

Mitzi how are you doing with the hurricane on the east coast? I pray you and your family are safe and alright 🙏

I actually did not like the sequel to TIME AND AGAIN, but you might! I never even finished it!

I need this book!! Thanks!

You will love the Out to Pasture series❤. I had my mom read them too, and then we donated to her ind living facility library!
Oh, yay! I had never heard of it, so excited to give it a try.
Hi. I had seen a new video by you from today…? But when I went to your channel to find it… I didn’t see it? Can u help locate? Thx
Out to Pasture is the first one. I read these ages ago but remember enjoying them. I will have to see if I can find them again.
Thanks! I look forward to it!

@@mitzireadsandwrites you don’t have to share it. I just thought of you instantly. It’s a good nightstand book.
