If you do sell it, please give us one good drive video where its running and working perfectly. I feel like this little car is going to surprise you. Its usually the ones we lose interest or motivation in that end up being the best.
OBS Fords are very simple to manual swap FYI. Just get the pedals, I would use a Small Block bellhousing ZF-5 transmission. All of the wiring/ connectors are under the dash. If you go that route, get a hold of me.

Atlas 4200/4L80E swap with a turbo in the shop truck? I mean... you DID say that you had a bunch of turbos to use up before they go bad.
Look really close to the intake valley pan when it backfired at 17:30 ish. Looks like something blew a hole through. May want to look into that before the next fire up.

Just some FYI for ya' , as a retired career mechanic...DO NOT use chlorinated "Brake cleaner" as a "starting fluid" for an engine. Long story short, this particular brake-cleaner when burned on the floor either as a puddle or burned thru an engine, it creates Phosgene gas, the same substance that was used in World war one as a toxic weapon of war. The stuff if breathed into your lungs chemically outright stops your ability to breath...long story, just don't do it, you'll really regret it when you wind up dying crumpled on the floor.
ALL of my brake cleaner is non chlorinated because I use it for cleaning parts before welding

The trans am thumbnail had me zoinked the other day thinking it was the fiero. Then boom here we are. Badass man. Hard work paid off.

LS for the shop truck for the win……finacailly that 300 straight 6 is not worth it…….she is sitting nice though and lookin good
Throw that Delco oil filter across the field and get a good one. Those are made in China with the rest of the store brand oil filters. I used a couple a while back and they cost me 10 pai of oil pressure. Went back to wix and haven't had an issue since.
Put an ls head on the straight 6 like the guy on rat rod garage I think is the channel , and a stick shift then control it with a 0411 pcm
