- Quick walkthrough of the steps taken to LS swap my '95 chevy 1500. This truck was a 4.3 v6 with nv3500 5-speed. We replaced the 4.3 with a 5.3 out of a 2001 Tahoe and reused the stock 5 speed. Comment with any questions and I will do my best to try and answer them.

Ive watched a hundred of these swap info vids. You sir are built for this. Im only half way through and cant get over how good its shot and how straight to the point you are. Appreciate you.
Dude this video is beyond perfect. I’m looking to swap my 4.3 to an LS. My ‘96 looks like an old man’s truck, it’ll make a great sleeper.
did you ls swap it?
@@aaron-ln2dy not yet - I’ve been about 2k miles away the last couple years, that might change real soon though

Best clear LS swap video for sure. The most helpful video ever. Thanks
The attention to detail! Nice clean install!!! About to start my 93 and didnt even think about some stuff u pointed out. Thanks!
Thanks bro! I appreciate that!
Great video bro, took your time giving the game! I appreciate it my guy!
Great clean job on the swap! I just completed my 2nd swap as well on a 71 Chevelle (now in paint and body) as well. Since I’ve just been finishing small jobs on my first swap. Nice work! I subscribed and tuned in.🤙🏾
Thank you for watching and supporting!
Nice work! You came up with some clean innovative solutions.
Definitely the best Ls swap video I've seen, no bs and to the point. Thanks for this!
Man, I'm glad this came up. I will have to go back and watch some more. 👍🏽
Great job, and an even better attitude
Great video and nice to see ur showing all the parts needed to help ur subscribers 👍💪keep up the good work
I appreciate that!
Awesome vid thank you for putting out great content. Very helpful for first time swapers. I just got my 1960 Chevy Truck 4.8 swapped.
Out of all the vids yours has been the most strait forward cant wait to ls3 swap my obs
This is badass! looks awesome and keep up the good work
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing! About to tackle an LS swap in my 72 Burb, so extremely helpful!
Thanks for watching. I'm glad I could be of help.
Charles is the man he's tuned my vehicles and my customers vehicles since 2012!!
I'm getting closer to doing this swap and I gotta say thanks so much for breaking this down your swap looks good thanks man

Second time watching. I'm so obsessed with ls swap. Can't wait to do it.
Thanks this was super helpful ! Can’t wait to pull out my V6 and mount a ls to the NV 3500
Clean set up makes me wanna find a diner truck but need to get a house first
Out of the swap stuff I’ve seen for these era trucks this was definitely the most informative. Plus including all the part numbers and other miscellaneous parts needed.
Nice build man. That thing is clean and well though out!
Thank you for having made this. This is super helpful man🙌 much love keep making vids man
Thanks for sharing your build. It looks and sounds very good. Did you use the same transmission from the 4.3? Any modifications needed to mate the transmission to the LS? Since you made this video about a year ago, can you give us an update on how the vehicle is doing and whether you use it as a daily driver? And since the build, is there anything you would change if you were to do it all over again. Great work! Thanks again.
Dude. You are a life saver. What a bang up job on the swap!
Man I have been Scouring the webs for information on the radiator size for my 95. Maybe I’m bad at searching, but I keep going back to your video through this whole build of mine and get some new good information every single time. Thanks for helping me, I’m feeling grateful.
I'm glad I could help bro! Thanks for watching!
The radiator is from a obs C3500 heavy duty pickup truck easily found at an U pull it junkyard. Even if you don’t want a used radiator you can at least get the stock radiator mount brackets from the junkyard. But I’d just look for a 1995 Chevy C3500 radiator to buy a new one.
Great summary and nice truck. Well done!
Awesome video. I just bought a ‘98 with a 4.3, so that’s nice to know about the motor mounts. Also, I love your whole radiator solution. Factory parts FTW!
I love how u made the engine bay look clean looks stock
yup, tried to keep it nice and clean. just an old work truck ready to tackle any job, lol.
Great detail, amazingly well done video
Very clean job great job explaining how you did the swap
Ahora si va quemar bro 👍👍👍
U a handy ass dude! Good job bro!💯
Great video. Giving me confidence to tackle this
Good stuff bro. Always. Can’t wait to get to my impala.
Man this definitely built my confidence, I just rebuilt the engine, having my 4l60e rebuilt. Like I mention on Facebook I had a V6 and had to do the same thing you did. Those bolts are hell to get to, but I got V8 clam installed now. I'm not using stock harness tho. I'm going with Holley Terminator X Mac and there 12.3 screen. I'm a customize my dash where it look stock....sorta Thanks KJ
You can do it bro! Finish the drill!!
@@CoolCarsKJ what year for radiator
@@smithric1213 any 88-98 with a 34" radiator . But any truck with the 454 7.4 litre has the 2 row radiator
@@CoolCarsKJ thanks
Awesome video. Keep up the good work. I'm swapping in a 5.3 in place of a 4.3v6 right now
It will be a hell of an upgrade bro!
Appreciate you bro! I like the content and attitude and very informative. Planning on swapping a 4.3 NBS Silverado to a 6.0. I know it’s a different body styles but concept and parts needed are the same!
Dude you did a clean job on that swap!
Great job, where do you want me to drop my truck off to you lol.
LOL!
Kj love ur videos I’m in the middle of doing my 95 Silverado it’s just a process.
You can do it bro!!! See it through. What steps do you have left? 95s are the "bastard" year.
GOOD STUFF ! Your video is well composed VERY informative ! Straight forward ! I have a 92 GMC 1500 , 4.3 NV3500. I have been wanting to do this ! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!
Do not use the luk 4-201 on your swap. It will hit the shift fork
Stock setup from a 99-06 4.8 will work better
Thumbs up for keeping it 5 speed! Clean swap bud.
Preciate that bro!
Do you know the part numbers for those fittings at the filter and return?

That impala in your profile pic tho!!!
@@CoolCarsKJ Oh Ya, implala SS brathaa!!
Thank you, I really enjoyed your video.
This is great! My daughter and I just picked up a 1990 K1500HD that is in really nice shape. NV4500 5 speed. 6 lug axles etc. The truck is REALLY solid. That being said? The 350TBI is a dog 😂. I’ve been kicking around the idea of a LS swap or building the SB- Vortec Heads / cam etc. Thanks for posting this one!
Hahaha I built a cammed 357 vortec 8mos ago with manual transmission and just bought a 6.0 yesterday. Gonna swap her out in spring. Cost less than 3k to build a 400hp engine but if you ask me I'd say go the ls route.unless you doing a blower or turbo charging it or have a drive by cable go carburetor. It'll save you some headache and possibly some $$.
@@k.lamareyev4418how much power did it make with heads and cam??

Cool Cars KJ if you haven’t checked out LT1 swap.com before there’s tons of info on there. That’s where I learned to do a stand alone harness when I helped swap a 4.8 into my dad’s 81 c10.
