Good question. It is a 50/50 on which car to follow when they split up like that, but a lot of times if a car slowed down it is having issues and might be out of control and going to hit the wall. I would rather capture that. Thanks for watching!
To
That is SO a new block for chief. No wonder he's doing NoPrep stuiff now...has more HP on the big end I bet.
Wow! The Crow is looking awesome. And seeing Chief and Fireball going head to head was amazing! Thanks for sharing this with us!!
Thank you Tomeighty for your badazz videos!💪 I'm disabled and can't make it to the track so your coverage is really appreciated more than you know! 👍 The best no prep coverage on UA-cam!
Awesome comment!!!
Prayers to you for the daily struggle you fight!
Thanks for the nice comment Grady, I appreciate it. And I will keep that in mind when I'm recording, it is cool to think that people are watching the races with me even if I'm alone out there :)
@@tomeighty if you DO *NOT* want to be out there "Alone" - I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be a part of your crew/team to go to all these races and do some AWESOME race filming!!!
We could make some GREAT if we were to team up and build the RIGHT team!!!
Thanks for the offer dude, I'm not at that point right now but I'll keep you in mind if I need to expand things.
@@tomeighty 💯 FOR SURE!!
Money or No Money, I am just a HUGE Drag Racing Fan, and have been driving and working on the cars/crews for *over* *20years!!*
Was glad to see Lizzy bsck in the pilot seat, she's one of the quickest at the bulb out there. With her Dad's motor and Kyle's team wrench'n her hotrod she's a contender.
Somebody please break Reapers knee caps so he has to find a driver!! Much respect to him he builds beautiful cars just needs to leave the driving to someone else
GREAT STREET RACING, watch 1320 videos is great. .... no drama just great racing
Chief vs Fireball,, WOW!! That was sooo close!
I agree
OMG, the duel of the century would be, LARRY LARSON and BIG CHIEF!
Thare is nuthing like looking at a good drag racing on the tv after a hard days work love it's
Nice to watch them just race, NO DRAMA
They need a class for reaper doc and dominator so one of them can finally win their first round in history
Excellent video! Luv the tour of the cars in the pits. Beautiful machinery. Works of art!
Great quality and fast moving. Thanks!!
If I ever get to go to one of these. I’m excited that I know one person that is guaranteed to be there. I do truly love your channel. Thank you for being willing/able/capable to make it to all these events.
Thank you! I appreciate it. And yes it is a dream to make it to all these races.
I thought Chief had Ryan on that one.
Great way to spend the day
Nuts and bolts and NO BS video...Great as usual! Looks like Reaper couldn't hook up in either lane!
16:21 Great view of Big Chiefs Butler Pontiac V8 :)
Imprecionante!! Como me encantaría estar ahí y verlos en persona, ya que sólo los miro el 405 el programa por el televisor o por Internet por tu canal. Que envidia!! Saludos desde Argentina
Although I watch for the races I really like the slow pan across the race cars and their set ups. 👍👌😲
Dude, wonderful coverage! Keep up the awesome work.
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback! I'm headed down to Oklahoma next for the big Outlaw Armageddon race. It will be awesome!
The fact Chief is using a real pontiac motor is impressive as hell
ISEE YOU after market billet Butler block but it is impressive
@@shonuff7317 Yes.. Butler Performance. We used to buy stuff from them for my Dad's 65 GTO. Of course its aftermarket.. I would not expect a stock pontiac block to hold that power.. :) I should have elaborated on the real part.. meaning it wasn't an LS motor..
ISEE YOU good thing my Pontiac came factory with Chevy drive train 65 goat is a sweet ride sounds like you're pops has good taste
@@shonuff7317 He grew up drag racing in Florida in the 60s and 70s with a 65 GTO.. When I was 16 he did a ground up restoration on one but went in with a 421ci and 66 tri-power. Car ran in the mid 12s.. was a blast. We sold it to a guy who put some aluminum edebrlocks heads on it and put it off in the 11s with Muncie 4 speed. I miss that car.
Super proud of lizzy she doing her thang💪💪💪
Yeah she is just crushing it out there. Super nice person too, I couldn't be happier for her!
Fireball mannn... That thing is ridiculous
Been watching a lot of these videos here on utub and I have say you're videos are some of the best , clean / clear & good job on the editing just wish dominator would win one for the 40.000 he's one of the nicest guys running in the no-prep 👍👍👍
😎👍🍻✌✌✌
WOW! Absolutely awesome race between Lutz's '57 and Chucky's NEW '55! Dunno what happened to Lutz, his hotrod just dropped out at the end of his run. As far as I'm concerned Lutz's '57 is still the most beautiful hotrod out there and when it's hitting all 8 holes it's one of the quickest.
I know, I love seeing those two cars race together.
You always have the best recorded videos out of everybody that recordes the no prep series
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. I try hard.
tomeighty: damn Bro. you do the absolute best at showing races. Not every burn out is necessary, but the names above the racers and who won is Priceless to me!! New subscriber and I'm hanging around to watch more. 70 yrs. old and I'm still loving the speed. Thanks for showing these!!
Kirk n TX.
I used to watch most of the races on that show n their all great n the cars are awesome, cool show keep them coming.thanks
11/2022 we need big chief back ASAP. We miss him
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awesome thanks for sharing buddy keep up the great job bud 😎👍👍
It's all in the Burnout!
Great coverage & great videos man... wow.
I love race cars
Tom your killing it man almost 50k subs thanks for the video awsome as always
Thanks Scott, yeah I'm excited about hitting the 50k mark! Thanks for noticing.
So, an SBC can outrun a proline 481 x...Chucks bringing a knife to a gun fight ...but still goes rounds !!💪🏽
Hard to believe !!
Another great video Tom keep up the good work I'll keep watching thank you
Thanks Earl
Great video tomeighty, thank you!
Just waiting for the vid from today's event 💯
Does reaper ever make a full pass without hitting something
That or breaking making excuses
Robin Roberts was on a whole new level during those races, wow.
Yeah he sure was. One little fact that I left out of the video and I'm sure Discovery will cover when the episode comes out is that Robin's car blew up the motor on Friday night during one of the burnouts. Over night he borrowed Ryan Martin's back up motor for the Fireball Camaro and raced that on Saturday. Interesting huh?
@@tomeighty yeah, and that's a pretty cool thing for ryan martin to do.
Daddy Dave I one of the best drivers I have saw .
Within 25 seconds I hit 'like'. (But I really was 'eating a sandwich'.) Thanks for the post.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the "Like". I appreciate it!
Awesome.. My Dad's Vega back in the 80s was called high voltage... ran 5.40s in the 1/8 all motor.. quick for that era...
Thank you for knowing how to do drag videos!
Thank you Tom, your videos are killer!
Thank you!
very nice video hello from france
nice job!!!
Chief Vs Reaper was surprisingly close
Great video
14:05 when u hit the next kit 🔥
Videos top notch bud!
As always...best video coverage there is. You should have way more subs
Thank you!
I totally agree. You can tell he puts so much work into his videos. Best by far . 1320 should take note. Frfr
I wish I could of made it to this race in Idaho its only an hour away from me. I would of loved to have met you Tom because I love your videos. ✌️🇺🇸
Oh wow, that would have been cool. It was crazy hot that day as I'm sure you know (99 degrees).
@@tomeighty oh yeah it gets really hot here. Hopefully you all come back next year. Thank you for your badass videos.
I really enjoyed the trip and the track out there. It was a 26 hour drive each way for me, but I like long road trips like that :)
@@tomeighty I'm glad you like road trips like that because if you didn't we wouldn't have awesome videos to watch. Lol
Definitely got a new sub
awesome video tom thank you sir
Thank you!
@@tomeighty your welcome tom some of the best videos on you tube keep em coming
Great work there Tom 👌
Thanks Martin!
Great job on video
Thank you!
Hi Tom, Thanks a lot buddy. It sure would be nice to make it a 1000 foot race. Either way it is great
to see your fine videos. Regards from Ody
Thanks Ody. They would have to slow the cars down a bit if they were going to do 1,000ft or 1/4 mile races, they are already going 200 mph in the 1/8th mile on a non prepped surface. That's getting to be a bit much to ask of a car in my opinion.
@@tomeighty The world record is 3.977@298.01mph in a full out dragster.
The no prep guys will never touch that.
They may gain another 10 mph in the last 340 feet
Great video as always. Maybe I can meet you when you come to Ennis in Oct!!!
You uilpp jill OP piiii9.
Once again great video, awesome editing brotha! Keep it up. LOL what’s going on with The reaper? That Yenko is so pretty seems like he’s got some traction or stability issues.
Yeah something went crazy with it and was pulling to the left when doing a mini wheelie all weekend.
Great job as always tomeighty.👍
Thank you!
Ee I will be in the
Great video @tom_eighty thanks for sharing
Thanks Randy! I recognize you from Instagram, thanks for watching dude!
Cool Video 👍 Everyone Be Safe Out There 🤜 🤛😎
Thank you!
damn, birdman is slippin
Would like to see the finish line on the real close ones. You are doing a heck of a job.
Thanks Tommy, yeah that would be something if I could get a finish line camera set up for those close races. But the reality is that this is Discovery's event and I'm just lucky to get video from the stands. They get all the good shots like they should :)
I understand still you do a heck of a job
Thanks again for the great content. Your editing is top notch. Much love and Respect brother.
Probably why Chief never liked to bump and built boost on the foot brake.
Yeah he mentioned to me that at all other races he foot brakes the car.
I am a Reaper fan ..💪💪
James Goad’s Camaro is going to be a contender once he gets the chassis figured out. He was right beside Chief until his car went left and he had to lift.
Wait until the OG Reaper car comes back out. The motor in it has more hp and a bigger procharger than the 136 in the 69. He was out on Chump until it went left.
Almost, story of reapers life.............
And in true fireball form @ 12:44 he drives right around him at the last like 15ft of the race
Cheif finally painted them damn doors..that car looks so much better now..and Kamikaze, what hes turned that elco into..
If I found a 3 wish giving genie I'd probably wish for
1)Larson's Caddy
2) Quarter mile racing
3) Lizzy Musi
would luv for them to show just mph
If Guy Richie made a race documentary. And called it Snatched that trophy
👌👍
Thank you!
It would be nice if you could get in line with the finish there was a lot of close racing
would have liked to see finish line shot in Big Chief/Martin race. Looked like Chief had the win....
Yeah for sure a close race there.
That is what drag racing is all about right there! My eyes and mouth opened in surprise when Ryan won that race. Looked like a victory for chief for sure, as you said. Crazy. Excellent video here as always!
I was glad to see Ryan win but like you all I thought Chief won but it was one hell of a race!!💪 And you're right a finish line shot would have been nice!
Yea Ryan Pulled him *HARD* in the last 100 or so Feet!
It surprised me too! Had to be a close MOV!
Lol must have been the pecker extender
$100 on the Crow!
Just another great video. Just a suggestion. Show the finish line once or twice plz. Thx
Do you mean zoom in on the finish line? Because I have a shot of the finish line in every race, it is just the 1/8th mile marker. Not the 1/4 mile marker. Thanks for watching!
Tom80 but one man with only a love of drag racing.
@@dogle9258 ha ha yeah for sure, just a one man crew here.
tomeighty yes. Plz. So I get an idea where it is. Thx
@Dave Micolichek Discovery's TV show get's all the good shots you guys are looking for. I'm just one guy in the stands taking video. And I usually can't leave my seat because it will be taken by someone else :)
id love to see ETs
I didn't saw Lizzy Musi name on the car's / drivers list above.
If Robin's car stuck boy ye was gone on fireball
Thanks for the video great job. Glad we didn't have to watch the burn out takes 2 long
Tom80. I love your thumbnails. Do you take those at the event, or is it made in post?
Thank you. Most all of them are taken at the event I'm at and then I edit them a bit at home to look better. I appreciate the compliment on them, I work hard at trying to figure out what is eye catching.
tomeighty what shutter speed do you try for when taking them. Going to my first drag event here locally and thought I’d try a few myself.
I use a camcorder that allows me to pull the trigger on photos while I'm shooting video and I never really looked at the speed setting before. But I just looked up what is default on that camera. between 1/8 and 1/10,000 seconds in movie recording at 60p
tomeighty I see how that would be useful. I’m rocking a Sony A7. It might be able to do that but isn’t built for video. Normally if I get nice cars on the road it’s like 1/15 to 1/30. I’m going to see what I can do dropping down to 1/8. Still don’t think I’ll nail it as well as you are, but practice makes perfect. Thanks for being so responsive. Best channel I’ve ever subbed too.
Thank you, and good luck!
Whats going wrong for Birdman? I haven't seen him do a full pass for a long time now, as for Larry "The Missile" Larson,, that's who my money is on for the future.
Can anyone explain what is that piece sticking out on the front bumper in the middle on some cars? And what it’s for? Thanks in advance
RSQ Hitman808 it’s referred to as a pecker extender. Cars that have shorter noses than the minimum per the rules run them to make up for the slight ET reduction it would cause, since the top end beam catches the front of the car
Nothing like tri 5 on tri 5 violets!!
I know, when I was filming them race I knew it was going to look awesome. Those guys don't race each other too often but I love it when they do. Thanks for watching Courtney!
What did Pat Musi figure out to get Lizzy/Kye's nitrous cars to run so fast out the backdoor? He obviously has figured out a way to get those nitrous motors to run a higher MPH in the 1/8. Never seen a nitrous car pick up that much speed after the 330' mark!
I recently heard that he went through the whole chassis and made a ton of changes. He said it was a mess.
Must have been the Ferguson grey paint ?!
is that an 8th mile run? Looks really short. Is there a 16th mile race?
Those are for 4WD trucks in creeper gear.
Did monza leave HPP.???
Why did so many losing cars race multiple times? Like Lizzy lost earlier but then raced High Voltage at night?
If they lose in the first round they are able to enter into an "Outlaw Big Tire" race that is seperate from the $40k invitational race. So you are able to see your favorite racer race again in the night even if they got eliminated right away. It makes for a jam packed night of racing.
Is no prep on TV yet and if so what day n time
Seems like that left lane was worse for ware and caused a lot of upsets for a lot of cars.
how do i find out who won the race
1/8 mile?
Dominator doc kamikaze duck duck goose
I bet u can try to beat Chief with a Lambo or Bugatti on a qrt mile race. Those exotic cars got no chance against this beast.
Kamikaze Cris,Needs a bigger tire.
Reaper wtf brother what's going on with your car!! Your one of my favorite.
