I'm surprised how balanced and simple you are! You don't boast, you don't praise your lifestyle as a paradise and an example to follow, but you are reserved and talk about your little joys in life. It sounds very sincere
I am surprised the Norway hiking videos were not so popular! I loved those videos and hope to see more like it. It was very relaxing to watch. But I will keep watching whatever you decide to put out because I think the brand is yourself and your dog :)
I did not see those videos been recommended at all... the algorythm sometimes plays tricks. :O Anyway, I like to see you doing all kinds of choirs around your own house and garden. :) That is entertaining.
Anders, your past and current story is so beautiful. I think schools for children ages 8 - 18 should recommend your channel for young people's life plans / skills / choices. We don't all have to grow up and work in an office cubicle and be wage slaves. God Bless You.
The honesty and transparency are what brings me back to your channel...and of course the great tiny living content. Also very much looking forward to seeing the build of your new place!
I like how open and honest you are. About many things. Money. The lack of glamour. The inevitable failures. Bad ideas that need to be corrected later on... Even "noises in the toilet in a tiny house". These are real concerns that most would avoid talking about, but they do bring stress to life. I like it that you talk about these things. Thank you. PS: And regarding your honesty about posting videos that were not related to tiny living (like the hiking ones), I follow some channels from Japan that do van camping. There is no talking, and that's why I and others are there. Just seeing the person camping, cooking, breathing in the nature around them. Then, suddenly, in one video, the guy decides to talk. It was like glass shattering. Not because I can't stand people talking, but that's not why I'm there for. A video from another channel in the US, the guy is silently camping on his truck (house built atop the truck), and then he decides to play the guitar and sing. If I wanted to see people play the guitar and sing, I would have searched for it, like I did many times. So it's nice that you had this experience, and I'm sure you will get out of this "downwards" spiral. Your content is really valuable.
Henry David Thoreau... "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach."
I admire your self-reliance. I recently encountered the statement "I have stood on the backs of others for my own comfort." Here in the States it expresses a major problem in present society. It is the complete antithesis of the kind of life you seek. So glad you didn't allow yourself to become trapped in what others might have expected of you.
Thank ypu so much for the kind words!☺️I am, however, also very gratefull for all the various connections that I have in my life, that allowed for me to become so independent: like my family that taught me to walk and talk and the welfare society that gives me security and freedom to do what I do. I also heard a great expression: that every man/woman is not an island but a peninsula: semi-autonomous but always to a motherland land made you and that you depend on! I think there is much wisdom in that☺️
Couple of questions for you: Have u thought about translating your book that you wrote on tiny living into English? Also, when you think of the numbers regarding your hiking videos, think back to when you started the channel. Those numbers probably would have made you happy. And if it was too many dislikes, well F those people. A friend of mine did a tribute video about one of her dogs after it passed and she got dislikes. Keyboard warriors suck. Don’t let them get to you. I, for one, LOvE your channel.
Personally, I really enjoyed your travel videos too and they were still very much in line with the main content of your channel i.e. sustainability and alternative living. This one was another great video. Educational and funny too. Keep it up. x
I live in a small trailer court in the mountains and i am actually trying to work less and live more sustainable. I can whatever i can. And also look nice sales for instance i got a bushel of potatoes for $18 and i gave some to family to help them out but have enough to can for the winter. I try to raise my own vegetables but still have to go to local farmers that have pick your own. But I am working on my debt so eventually i can just have to pay for the necessary stuff. I liked this video very much.
I was surprised at your cost of living. It seems high to me but I imagine you’re probably talking about more than the basics. I live in the Philippines with a $250 monthly cost of living. I live in a city south of Manila. As seen on my channel, I live a really nice comfy life here. I’ve always been frugal and really good at designing very spacious feeling and affordable tiny houses, so I’ve always dreamed of building at least one of my designs someday somewhere. But I definitely want it to sustain a very low cost of living wherever and whenever I build it. My current apartment is a bit of a tiny home.
@@elliebella2710 You see the error you are making here is comparing cost of living in Europe vs in Africa- or other regions different from where he is. 750 per month in denmark is little. the 100 you can survive with in Ghana is relative there, makes sense there, but won't buy you anything in other regions of the world
@@njabsmangena I think it would have helped if he had provided a breakdown of his costs so that we could make more sense of that figure. There may be additional non-house related costs he's factored in such as his car and insurance. I hope he does more on this topic as it's quite central to making simple living work.
In Africa, many people here live a simple village life for much less. Even in the city with lots of conveniences I live with about less than half of that money
@@njabsmangena I understand how it works... but international prices can sometimes be comparable. Food prices in certain parts of Africa can be very similar to Europe. Many products are imported.
Thank you very much for eveything you do and say. I'm also in the country, in France, and I try live as much as naturally as possible, mainly for my health ! And when I improve my way of life for my health, I grow my food, I don't buy plastic etc, I left city for countryside, and in fact I save money because I don't buy many things, so I could work less hours for my boss... and less and less !!!
Love your channel and really enjoyed your trip in Norway . Keep being true to what you want to do as well has hitting numbers . As long as you can manage comfortably reassure yourself on the impact you won’t necessarily see and that is how much people are learning from you and how far afield you are inspiring people with simpler less stressful ways of life and being sustainable and good to the planet.
I love your values and all of your work, including those Norway videos! I think you are very wise and creative. What you have to share is very valuable! People really need to hear about alternatives to consumerism because, you are absolutely right, the planet cannot sustain our current level of destruction to create ever more luxury! It is beyond sad what we have done to it! 😢

Another input from New Zealand. I have two favourite youtube channels--yours, and the restoration of a French chateau. I prefer to spend my valuable time watching and listening to people who are down-to-earth, honest, and who have positive aims in life. The world is so full of those who are airy-fairy, and would lead one down the garden path with their fanciful ideas. I am 81 yrs old, and have experienced generations that were much more steadfast and upright in their practices and beliefs than today's lot, on the whole; and I truly appreciate your channel which assures me that there are still some "out there" that know how to experience a better life than most people desire to live. Leave the rat race to the rats, I say! Keep inspiring us, Anders: we need more like you, and Boisimas?
This was great..Seeing your part of the world in what ever form it takes is inspiring and has great value..Trusting that life presents you with opportunities to develop the life your living..The new house build will no doubt bring changes your way, but great rewards also..Kindness your way.. Anders, I am so sorry that the hiking videos didn’t do well. I’m so surprised because I LOvED them. Your drone footage was awesome. And the stupid algorithm makes no sense sometimes (other than the time it suggested your channel to me.). Btw when you said your costs per month at your house is 750, my jaw dropped. I've just paused this video to say that I really enjoyed your hiking n Norway videos. They reminded me very much of our Scottish Highlands. Also, I'm glad that you've found a way to earn an income so that you can continue to live the life you have envisioned for yourself. Call it being self-employed rather than not a recognised style of employment. ... or as some people would say 'not a proper job'!!
I could live like that and easily make enough from my spoons. I mean, I make a living from them now, but I'd be living like a king with loads of free time if I moved off the grid. But my wife wouldn't do it, and I'm kind of fond of her.
I also really loved the Norway Videos! Great shots of a great guy in a great landscape🏞️ Peaceful beauty and nearly to touch nature just by watching✨ All the pure life. Just keep on doing what feels right for you, Anders! You have a good feeling and strategy and you are doing it with good intentions. Nothing to doubt about 😊 Your honest resume on the last years living your dream is really inspiring!! You are not only part but a motor of a big movement and it will work out in a really good way! I love this kind of lifestyle and still trying to save some money to quit a full-time job to do something else or only part-time job in the future. The lifestyle that you are living in is very common practices in my country. People do farming, fishing and sell vegetables that they grow for a living. I like to watch your content, because it reminds me that we do not need much in life to live happily. I really dream of living in Tiny house and have a small garden.
I love watching your videos. I am curious about how to do wash and dry your clothes and linen, particularly in the winter. Would you be able to show us that in a video please?
This amazing lifestyle, to live simply, yet remain connected to the world, only became possible over the past few years. Lithium batteries, smartphones, camera technologies, Starlink, better solar panels, etc, are all fairly recent. We're now able to live Henry David Thoreau's dream of being connected to nature and our Creator and yet still be connected enough to each other and cover our basic needs. It's quite remarkable actually. We're very fortunate in many ways if we seize this opportunity. Greetings from Virginia. Just found your channel and subscibed. Thank you friend!
Your lists of assets sounds nice Anders but in my opinion those are not your biggest assets. Your biggest asset you built up in these four years is what you have learned. You learned to become a public speaker, You learned how to write a book and publish it, You learned how to create a permaculture garden, You learned how to create video's, You learned how to build a water system for your house, Your learned all kinds of other building stuff, You learned how to forage, but most of all you learned to stand on your own two feet and that's an asset no one can take away from you! Enjoy your weekend 🍂
Maybe you could consider a second channel for your hikes and include visiting tiny spaces...it will attract a whole new audience you could then be double dipping on youtube.
Without your dog I feel that you would be lonely. Living in the woods can be peaceful but also lonely without another living creature to share life with and to talk to. I'm glad that you have 3 sources of income and that UA-cam is working for you. I always like and subscribe so UA-cam will pay you. Your food looks good and it's nice to know that your garden is producing. You also need to save for retirement so you need jobs that produce money to invest.
Thanks for the being considerate☺️It is indeed a great joy to have him with me on the journey! But also: I do have friends and family that I see very often, so I’m not as alone as it may seem in the videos😊
So interesting. As someone that has lived off grid for forty years, it's great to get a fresh perspective. Are you living in a community of like minded neighbors?
I loved the Norway videos!! 😢 I hope you will find the balance to do both what earns you money here on YT but also what brings you creative joy even if it might not be financially the best, otherwise you’re back in the rat race mentality of city life. I appreciate the honesty you share with us.
Im envy in positif way. I really wanna live like you but to dangerous in my country live in outdoor like that. Especially for women. I hope you understand what I mean.
I believe it is not the tiny house as such which guarantees financial freedom, but that it entails being without a wife. For an independent, moderately capable man, financial freedom is absolutely possible. With family: only with exceptional luck. BTW: I do get the irony of living in clean air and nature, talking about how not to get sick and then sitting close to a camp fire ...
You have been in my recommendation for a while but didn't click on because I'm a bit bored of the same thing over and over (mainly American channels) but glad I did. Subscribed, watching from Crete Greece. Good luck

Greetings from Germany🙋♀️
I LIked them!!!☺
Thoroughly enjoyed your first video. I subscribed so I will enjoy following you. I an in Tn, USA.
Thanks!! And good luck with your house🤞😊
The appetites of our species exceeds the resources of our planet.
Indeed😒🍃
I love this kind of lifestyle and still trying to save some money to quit a full-time job to do something else or only part-time job in the future. The lifestyle that you are living in is very common practices in my country. People do farming, fishing and sell vegetables that they grow for a living. I like to watch your content, because it reminds me that we do not need much in life to live happily. I really dream of living in Tiny house and have a small garden.
When I visited denmark I realized that electricity is very expenceiv there. My art studio is a tiny house but I live in a flat
Excellent video.
I love watching your videos. I am curious about how to do wash and dry your clothes and linen, particularly in the winter. Would you be able to show us that in a video please?
I love how you live close to nature.
Do you have any concerns about the tall trees and your safety and that of your home?
I love your dog, btw
Tbm gostaria d saber sobre as árvores em volta da casa
You learned to become a public speaker,
You learned how to write a book and publish it,
You learned how to create a permaculture garden,
You learned how to create video's,
You learned how to build a water system for your house,
Your learned all kinds of other building stuff,
You learned how to forage,
but most of all you learned to stand on your own two feet and that's an asset no one can take away from you!
Enjoy your weekend
🍂
Muito bom😊❤
Thanks for the very kind words! You’re right, learning life skills is really the biggest asset one can build👌😊Have a great weekend too!!❤️
oh!
one other question, where did you get the round metal fire thingy?
Great video and content! Living tiny is to live big.
Thanks!! Ah yeah, so true😊
Start another UA-cam channel for your other content including travel. I thought the video was good. Made me think of it as a future travel option.
Thanks! Great tip👌😊
Agree on all points.
I loved your tour to Norway and the beutifull nature up there so hopefully you will take us up there again nekst year
🤞Maybe!! If I dare🤞😅
And thanks, I really appreciate you letting me know☺️❤️
Maybe you could consider a second channel for your hikes and include visiting tiny spaces...it will attract a whole new audience you could then be double dipping on youtube.
Thanks!! Great idea👌
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Great content!
Great video ❤😊
Thanks❤️
@andersboisentinyhouse I'm glad to hear that you have friends. Your dog is a daily source of comfort so I'm glad that you have him.
So interesting. As someone that has lived off grid for forty years, it's great to get a fresh perspective. Are you living in a community of like minded neighbors?
Great to hear!! I have some neighbours yes, but is not a community as such😊
Good evening, Do you have children? I always wonder how people who choose to live tiny save money and live on a budget with children.
I loved the Norway videos!! 😢 I hope you will find the balance to do both what earns you money here on YT but also what brings you creative joy even if it might not be financially the best, otherwise you’re back in the rat race mentality of city life. I appreciate the honesty you share with us.
Thanks so much! I’m pretty sure that I will☺️And great points also👌😊
What is with the high fence? To keep the deer out, or… ?
Good video
Thanks!😊
Hello from NYC Bayside Queens NY
Im envy in positif way. I really wanna live like you but to dangerous in my country live in outdoor like that. Especially for women. I hope you understand what I mean.
I believe it is not the tiny house as such which guarantees financial freedom, but that it entails being without a wife. For an independent, moderately capable man, financial freedom is absolutely possible. With family: only with exceptional luck.
BTW: I do get the irony of living in clean air and nature, talking about how not to get sick and then sitting close to a camp fire ...
In the book of Proverbs it talks about diversified income.
You have been in my recommendation for a while but didn't click on because I'm a bit bored of the same thing over and over (mainly American channels) but glad I did. Subscribed, watching from Crete Greece. Good luck
Haha!! I’m glad that you finally came over to the side😄Welcome to the channel😊👌And thanks!!
Do you have to pay taxes on your property over there?
Yes😊
What about GIRLS??? ( or... boys?)
Dog is enough😂no woman no cry
@@SntGod😂😂
Wow that's horribly expensive... I live on my sailboat for a yearly cost of $3500.
If you say out loud, rabbits rabbits rabbits, the smoke will change direction. Seriously, try it. Repeat as necessary.
I enjoyed your trip to Norway. Sorry it wasn’t profitable for you.
Thanks! I’m very happy that some people liked it☺️
👍😎🇨🇦
Utroligt man ikke kan få danske undertekster når man kan Vietnam Ukraine osv

awesome!
Thank you for sharing your experience and your feedback 😊
