pardon my ignorance, but what does the protection board do?
So this is a 5s3p battery AM i right? By adding 1 battery on every serie you will create a 5s4p like u use in the collored skateboard speaker. On a same 5s board? Thanks🤙
You can use as many batteries in parallel as you like. Just make sure that they are balanced beforehand, so that you don't have some cells that are more charged than others (will then result in a rapid charge/discharge between the batteries, not good for the cells).

Nice tutorial! Though I would add that the starting voltage, whilst important, is not as crucial as the capacity.
Batteries that are less than 3V can still produce good capacity results so make sure to charge, and check, each battery.
You need to capacity check each battery by running a 1A discharge on it (from 4.2V to 3.0V). The iMax B6 can do this via the "discharge" program.
Then use the cells with the highest capacity (any that turn out to be too low can be recycled on).
Needs balancing. I love these kinds of videos. Buck/Boost/Sepic/Audio Boards, BMS and Active Balancing

I use a Turnigy Accucel 6. the iMax will also work.
Make sure to run a 1A discharge on each cell to see which ones are still good (>1500mAh) and which ones are not (

No. BMS only protection charge and discharge so you should be charging balance before connect to the pack.Thank

I want to try to build one of your Bluetooth boxes. At the risk of sounding stupid I have a question. Would a Dewalt 18v lithium battery work in place of this? I only ask because I have Parkinson's and soldering is out of the question. With all the soldering in the box it's self I am just trying to cut some time and cost. I have a place that will do the soldering but they're expensive so if I can find a alternative to the battery it would help.

They sell the adapter for those batteries. The mounting tab that accepts your battery. I found mine for milwaukee for about $15.

You can get laptop battery packs really cheaply on eBay. Some people on eBay will sell batteries that are already capacity tested.

If you're going to make a DIY battery pack, make sure to charge each battery to 4.2V (no matter what the initial voltage) then capacity check using Imax B6 or Turnigy Accucel. Anything below 1000mAh is not really any good, ideally aim for 2000mAh or above.

Get a charger/discharger that can show capacity of the cells. a SkyRC Imax or Turnigy Accucel can be had very cheaply.
There are also other chargers that will do it, such as Opus, LiitoKala etc.
Я одного понять не могу,почему ты перезаряжаешь их до 4,2? На зарядном устройстве ставишь LiPo а это Li-ion. У этих батареек напряжение 3.7v
