This upgrade is useless by design for the Trailblazer 1)It's not completely sealed,if you do want modified intake for the Trailblazer the Volant unit is the best,it's a genuine sealed unit similar to the stock box, just more open, but sealed better from the engine heat soak! 2) The Trailblazer stock intake is unrestrictive as is,and the ridges in the tube keep the air cool! I only see sound being a benefit, but that's it on a stock truck!!
Just added a Spectre cone filter on my 2004 and just left the OEM air box. Def feel the throttle response and feel it runs so much smoother. My old filter was completely blocked and filled with debris. Now I can just clean and oil mine and that’s it.
After having the k&n installed on that vehicle does it get enough air flow or does it need more? My mom's got the same vehicle it just doesn't seem like it gets enough air flow through the front of the vehicle
2 questions: Why is called cold air intake filter? I mean is set on the same spot same temperature. Now let's say that filter let go more air thru and builds up more horse power. How about fuel economy? I've heard more power also comes with more gas consumption. How did yours ended up? Thanks
I think the heat shield is meant to block a portion of the heat from the engine, allowing cooler air to flow into the engine. Cooler air makes more HP. I did not notice a decrease in fuel economy but did see a slight increase in felt power.
Hey there. I just watched yer video and was gunna order this kit for my 06 trailblazer but it says that it won’t fit mine. It also has the 4.2. Any idea why or what the differences would be between yers and mine? Thanks in advance. Love the videos by the way
+Nobodys Darlin I like it. The 6 cylinder sometimes feels a little underpowered to me, but that may just be me. it goes well in the snow and rides nice too. Im not unhappy with it.
Yea im going from a V8 to something smaller so I'll notice the power difference as well....thxfor the feedback bro... I'm going to test drive her tomorrow
I have one on my 2008 and the fuel mileage gains is definitely worth it . Noticeable difference on hiway trips .
Thank you
why we need to change the Air tube (main which have mass air flow sensor). Means if we just replace the filter with K & N???

@@thetruckernelsonchannel5274 OK I also have an O4 TB so will try out that Spectre cone filter. thanks

Nice
Do both versions of tubing come with the slots for all the sensors, pcv system, fuel etc? Gonna most likely put one in an 02 Trailblazer
Missed a step.
The MAF sensor should be CLEANED while it is out.
Facts, and the intake manifold/throttle body
very helpful thank you
For my 04' Envoy it was different :P I have a video on my channel if anyone is curious how it looks :P

Hey does is work on 2008 I try to get one on Amazon and I saying it does not fit wired
I think they have different versions for different years. Try checking the K&N website.
I got a cold air intake for my trailblazer but not the k&n one and got a check engine light said system too lean any help with that would be awesome
Maybe try cleaning your Mass Air Flow sensor. Make sure everything is tight and connected.
@@homebuiltshop I tried and didn't help everyone tells me it shouldn't do that i finally gave up and put the stock one back on
check out this video, I just did-ua-cam.com/video/zofnaV5Bi_Q/v-deo.html
@@AlexSmith-ig9up Yup that's what Scotty Kilmer said too, ua-cam.com/video/zofnaV5Bi_Q/v-deo.html
Have you noticed any mpg increase and how much?
I have the same question. Just bought a 2007 GMC Envoy SLT with 98500 miles and its Gas Mileage Sucks. I know the 3:42 gear does not help.

Thanks, I don't know what the difference could be but there must be something. They probably make a specific one for the 06.
I just saw on Amazon that it wouldn't fit my 2007 trailblazer either
His has a mass airflow sensor. Yours has an IAT sensor, intake air temp.
What kinda exhaust do you have on this truck
It's a Magnaflow.
Jeff Baker which magnaflow tho lol
@@nickswaggins5513 i have 40 series makes the sound low growl on acceleration. not ricery,... get mag 40s
It makes the car quieter, guess I need to cut the resonator
Definitely not worth $327
Amigo español donde puedo comprar ese kit o pedirlo por Internet
ID CARID amigo ai lo puedes pedir
did in increase your fuel economy?? cause i heard that it does. i wanna do this to my 02 bravada. it has the same 4.2 I6.
+Luke buck I didn't notice much of an increase in MPG, there was a noticeable performance increase though.
1 gallon increase
Then a installed a poweraid airraid throttle body spacer now increased 2 MPG
can you just put the filter with everything stock
+David Vargas you can get a stock replacement k&n filter.
what muffler do you have?
I have a magnaflow muffler and have the resonator removed.
+Jeff Baker make a video
+Brian Ratcliffe of my exhaust? Just showing and hearing it? I could probably fit that in if you want to hear it.
+Jeff Baker sounds good
@@homebuiltshop I was wondering about that sound.
How do you like your truck..I'm thinking about getting one I saw. $6600 2007 LS with only 145,000 kms on it!!!
+Nobodys Darlin I like it. The 6 cylinder sometimes feels a little underpowered to me, but that may just be me. it goes well in the snow and rides nice too. Im not unhappy with it.

Right from a stop is when I notice the most difference. Once the RPM's get up, the truck actually moves pretty well.
+Jeff Baker so good passing power!? man I love me some GM power!
Yeah, I was impressed. Good luck on yours!
traiblazer 2008 v8 5.3 l
hi
can i install with 5.3 l engine
anas ch This model is specific to the 4.2L, but if you look your truck up on the K&N website, you should find a model that will bolt right on your V8.
And I didn't get that style either I got the other style
first thing you have to do is disconnect the battery
lol no...you dont....
put it on paper
It’s little faster but nothing special
It was a waste of money
