1:37 Soken didn't need to put that in, but he did, and I love him for that. So overwhelmed with nostalgia.
1 year later, I still remember my reaction to my first time in the fight, the nostalgia it brought, and how tough that first time was. But it was the right kind of hard that we needed so much in FFXIV. Of the Endwalker trials, this and Golbez are my favs so far.
As a long-time fan of FF4 (FF4 was my first mainline FF game, FFTA was my first one); this whole patch made me very, very happy.
Hell, I was geeking the f-ck out back in 6.1. XD
@1:37 that part hit me like a truck. They did an amazing job with this rendition, and I hope they use Zeromus' bgm at some point in this expansion.

I think they will do another dungeon with the water boi then use rubicante for the next trial, golbez will be the final trial then zero as savage, perfect “final battle” I’d say 🤣
Some people are speculating that >>>Zemus/Zeromus will be part of it too.
@@Touchybanana I'm banking that Zero will become Zeromus. They're affiliated witg Zenos/Zemus, after all. It's not an exact copy of what Zeromus is; but it fits so far.
My bet: we'll crystallize the Four Archfiends, Zero will become corrupted by the Memoria (as the Warriors of Light did in the past), and become Zeromus. We will then defeat Zeromus with Golbez's aid.

@@mabdam3799 Yeah I also think they will do Rubiccante and Cagnazzo next. Not sure if they do it in trials though since Scarmiglione was in a dungeon. Either way it's all FF4 stuff.
Gonna be interesting to see how they handle Cagnazzo, Rubicante, and Golbez in the future
I hope for Rubicante, they add a mechanic where he heals your party like every encounter you face him.
Cagnazzo, glorious fight! Rubicante....remix of this awesome music, and I couldn't stop geeking out throught the entire encounter! I wonder if we'll face all 4 at some point, like in the Giant of Babil

Scarmiglione appears in a dungeon (with the Battle 2 music playing, hell yeah) and a solo fight. So far the only trial we've gotten is Barbariccia.
@@ZombieLagombi I assume Cagnazzo will be a dungeon boss and Rubicante will be a trial boss.
@@TheLonelyWolf1000 if they make it so the 3 "extra" trials are just part of the MSQ this time around, instead of a separate quest-line, I think the rest would all get a trial. Like how Byakko, Suzaku, Seiryu all had a trial and only Genbu was a dungeon boss. And then Golbez would get the usual After-MSQ spot, like Tsukuyomi.

Don’t forget in FF IV they were revived and we had to fight all of them at the same time

Right this moment I'm queued for this trial for the first time, so I'm only here to listen to the epic Four Fiends battle theme rendition (don't wanna spoil the fight itself). Can't wait to fight Cagnazzo, Rubicante, and Golbeez. Also waiting on some appearance from Zemus/Zeromus, but I can't help feeling like he's actually playing some role in Pandaemonium instead--the whole "turning peeps into monsters/dark beings via magical manipulation" thing is hard to ignore, lol
Still haven't gotten to Abyssos yet, so I'll just have to wait and see
I like the video, though the music loop seems to have been done wrong at 9 minutes in.
