Hi. I sold my home and gave away many decorative and antique pieces that I collected over the years. Hard actually. But I bought and travel in an RV. No regrets. However when I decide to stay put, I will enjoy looking for treasures in my thrift stores. I will display items the way you do, Jessica. Inspiration...from Hannica Rose. I enjoy your channel. Thanks
Happy New Year, Jess! Green fish Bowl was my fav for sure! The Holland Floral Pitcher/Vase a close second. I spied my mail sorter behind the birds you were looking at, it was my late grandfathers. Always makes me smile and think of him when I see them. Adorable play toaster too!
I'm so glad you enjoy them.. now that my Thrift 52 project is over... I'll actually have time to make more videos. It took a lot of planning and driving for that project.. so it was hard to make more than one video a week. I'm in the middle of redoing a hutch... I can't wait till it's finished ..so I can start styling it. I'm filming it along the way too.
HAPPY NEW DECADE JESSICA! 🤗🤗🤗I loved that cooper item for 8 something and the Neman Marcus plates and the turtle, and the secret books lol lots of fun today!
Love, love the Neiman Marcus plates! I would have scooped those up in a heartbeat. They're NM's 95th anniversary fashion designer plates(china) & depending on the buyer, they could easily go for $100-150!
I love the Poppytrail rooster bowls. I picked up several pieces in that same pattern that I'm going to list on my eBay site soon. :) If I didn't already have so many dishes I'd keep them, but I have no more space!
Thanks Jessica! And you did it again..got the same thing i wanted, the fish casserole dish!! I also liked the toy toaster, and the Hummel-like children & Angel! (you didn’t look at them) 💜
I just love that fish casserole dish. 💕😊 I'll probably end up using it as decor. Too pretty to cook with! The Vintage toaster was awesome. It looks better made than some of the real toasters nowadays. 🤣😂
Thrift shops are hard to find here in my rural upstate NY area so we rely on yard sales for shopping for experienced items but we can get actual antiques and durable vintage from well known companies for pennies since most of our farm homes are full of these. Those are what we use and what we put out for sales. I wonder if this is typical of other rural areas of the country. Nothing jumped out at me in the video and the prices were high for what they were. Thanks for sharing this video though. I always enjoy window/video shopping especially when I can do this from the comfort of my couch in front of the fire!
Thank you so much for watching Veronica. I will definitely try to do more wide shots in the future. Sometimes it's hard when there's other shoppers around. I try to be respectful and not get them in the frame. 👍 😁
Hi Dolores thank you so much for watching. 👍😊 Oh that is exciting I hope you find lots of treasures at the salvation army. I haven't had too much luck at the ones here. They are kind of far from me too. Hope you are having a fabulous start to the new year! 🥳🎉
I always feel the need to go thrift store hopping after watching these! 🙃 ( It drives me nuts that they write the price right on the items with markers 😑)
Sometimes the markers are on front cover of nice little diaries & impossible to remove without damaging the item. They can be used but only on some items. 👎🤔🤔
Thank you so much for watching Lois. I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos. I put out a thrifting video usually every week. 👍💕😁 Hope you are having a fabulous weekend, and happy New Year to you as well. 🥳🎉
Hi dear friend, you did an awesome job shopping this week at the thrift store, I saw so many awesome things there. I love watching your videos .Wait to see what you do in 2020 on your channel keep up the awesome work, my UA-cam sister
LOL thank you so much for watching Joan. 🐟👍😁 Oh you are so right that wagon would have made an excellent planter holder. I wish I would have thought of that. Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.
Hello Jessica, I did some research for you on the fish casserole dish, as you said there is very little info out there I did notice that the dish also came in a brown color with some yellow tones, it must be a very popular dish because its selling on eBay and the Etsy site it's going anywhere from 15-30 dollars, I'm surprised you didn't haul the pig, and a snowbaby collector would have jumped for joy, you find some very interesting things 😁.oh I forgot to add that the dish was probably done btw late 1940 early 1950 USA Pottery, I thought it was Hull or Hall at first - then I checked McCoy and Shawnee I hit a brick wall 😂
Thank you so much for all of the information. I really appreciate it! I love it so much! I'm trying to figure out a way to display it. It's too pretty to cook with! 💕👍🐟
That fish is 35.00 on eBay my guess is going to be hull, McCoy, or one of those type but hull a lot of times just used a number could be watt as well McCoy usually marked everything but not always, good buy !
@@michellenaron827 I saw some on etsy that say they were made by USA pottery in the 60s or 70s. Not sure if they meant that USA pottery was an actual company. www.etsy.com/listing/736153549/vintage-oven-proof-fish-shaped-dishes-no
Great haul. I thought you would get that fish. I loved the rooster creamer. I collect chickens and roosters, but i dont have anything like that. That pink dish was pretty too.
Omgosh, loved the Niemann Marcus plates, also the dove figurines! Thought those would look pretty in a vintage bird cage!! Prop them up on different height candle sticks with some ivy! Love the fish dish too!
Whenever I see a pig or green ware, I think about you. I have a thing about vintage buggies but that was pricy. Mine is for a doll and it's wicker, quite shabby and not in the best condition but I love it. I think I paid only 2.59 or something. I am really trying hard to clean up first and give a makeover on a lot of rooms before I treat myself with thrifting. Wish me luck!
Ahhh that is so awesome that those items make you think of me. 💚 🐷👍 Your wicker buggie sounds amazing! And what a great price. I'm working on a hutch makeover as we speak. I had one passed down to me. It's totally not my style at all but I'm going to try to make it work. I'm determined! 😁
I loved the green casserole fish dish ! So unique And the tortilla press . My mom makes hand made tortillas which i haven’t mastered yet lol so this would have been perfect for me
Oh my goodness those snow bunny figurines creep me out almost as bad as clown figurines. 😫 I had a smaller version of the green piece you purchased. I don't really remember where I got it from. Could have been from my husband's grandparents home. I'll ask him if he remembers it.
At 6:43, I love the pale grey pottery with multiple openings! It could be a custom piece made an artisan. I'm guessing it is a vase, but I would use it in my art studio to hold brushes. Oh, what are the chances I'll ever find one?
That fish casserole dish ❤️ there is a listing on Etsy for the accompanying smaller fish dishes, USA Pottery oven proof 3891 So adorable! You snagged a good deal with that one.
Hi Deborah yes I happen to come across those smaller ones listed too. Very cute!! I really love but I scored this. I'm honestly thinking about turning it into a planter. It's so pretty I don't even want to cook with it. Lol🐟💕😁
Hi, my favorite piece was the red rooster creamer. My grand daughter makes homemade tortillas and uses a press like the one you showed. Thank you and God bless you all. 🙏🏽🤗
I really liked that tortilla press...it was super heavy!! I've never made a homemade tortilla though.. I bet they're really good. Thank you so much for watching Adele. 😊💕
Happy New Year! 🎉 I thought the fish dish would find it's way home with you. You could always use it in the bathroom to store items on. I liked the lamp ( pink jug) too. The pottery thing(white) that looked like a chip holder was interesting. TFS.😊 💖 👍
Happy New Year Nancy! 🥳🎉 That fish dish was adorable and so unique. I might have to turn it into a planter or some sort of display. It's too pretty to bake in. 😊 Hope you are having a great weekend. 👍
Thank you so much for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I added the watermark image as a overlay in editing. I drag it over my entire video so it's in every frame. Hope that makes sense. 👍
