Yeah, and they will also do a 3 side by side run and alot of people would see that and take pictures, selfies and videos of it. And I'm going there after it's restoration is complete.
Perhaps. The Michigan Steam Institute and Fort Wayne Historical Society along with CSX, NS, RJ Corman, Kentucky Railway Museum and Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation would all have to discuss that. I'm sure the cost for operating 2716 all the way to somewhere between Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky just to met 765 and 1225 would be a fortune. But, as the old saying goes, never say never!
@@SouthernRaiIs1186 okay. But Ross has plans to restore 614 AGAIN. This time, it will be painted in a yellow ribbon express. And be converted to burning natural gas.
I just want to say that I wish you all look on the restoration effort of this engine and I have to ask it didn't the engine have a little brass eagle on the front of it somewhere? I'm just curious if y'all got that when y'all got the engine
Dude, I'm here too, and UP would never allow it. What does super excursion even mean? Do you know how expensive that would be? How is this a serious question?
@@railfan6116 Yeah, your right, I just wish we had more steam locomotives operating here is Utah. We do have the Heber Valley RR in Heber of course but U.P. 618 and GW 75 are both out of service at the moment for restoration.
they are from a old crane which had the same sized trucks as the original tender but with roller bearings. The original tender trucks were also made by Buckeye just like these..
This is a good scene with the locomotive because it looks like there’s smoke coming out of the stack 1:09
Jennifer Gauthier yes it does
Can’t wait til she fires up
Me too.
What an outstanding beautiful locomotive!!
They’re building a century!
I would love to someday work on a steam
Locomtoive
Wen 2716 is running and 587 I’m bringing a camera
When 2716s restorations complete I hope she does a triple header with 1225 and 765!
Yall never mention the 4449 daylight so sad
daylight dragon that’s actually another great idea! The only problem though is that daylight can’t run in the north east due to tunnel height!

Now all we need is for them to talk with Ross Rowland & have them move 614 to Ravenna.
And they will restore her with a new project besides the greenbrier presidential express.

@@anasiacameronelijahedcpndc4324 interesting. I thought he planned to keep it a diesel oil burner once she was rebuilt
Did RJ add their locomotives for the Louisville to Lexington run because of the big grades at Frankfort?
Mostly publicity! Also the fact they were moving on there track.
Im really glad to be apart of the crew
Aww I wish I was you
The 2 Gp-40 Horns sound like Reed organs!
I think you and Nashville Steam should do an excursion with 2716 & 576
No 765 and 576

It wore that when it was in southern markings however since they are restoring it to C&O it most likely won’t be wearing it
The paint looks so clean.
Are you guys repainting CSX 1100 or is it staying in CSX
How much longer until 2716 is under steam
Can’t wait for you guys to move old smoky
I love it! How far are you in the restoration? And do you think you might on day run to Utah for an excursion?

@@WyanoPenna Super excursion is a typo, And I thought I might as well just ask.
@@RocketStephen618 this is a C&O locomotive. It would have no reason to go to Utah. It would cost a butt load of money too.
