So, three Kentucky scrap dealers gave this a thumbs down I guess. Saw 2716 run before. Beautiful engine that's deserves to be out there showing what she can do!
I knew Bill Purdy. He was the ultimate railroader and a great guy. I understand his son is involved with the restoration and return to operation of the N&W 611. I’m sure Bill would be thrilled to see 2716 return to steam.
When 800 shoved 2716, it looked kinda like it was under its own power, it’s sad To see a massive steamer being restored I had the sad, happy feeling when 4014 ran its first 2019 test run and the up 3 Chime ran through the valley This is awesome, Kentucky steam Corp, BRING BACK 2716, Kudos to a good run 800 and 2716 and the c and o caboose.

2716 is beautiful, 800 is no slouch, either. Some of those older diesels are quite beautiful. I’m not from those parts but I remember Clinchfield from a book that had a nice N scale layout based on that railroad. I always wanted to build that one, nice part of the country. Good luck with 2716!
