Second couple applied smarts. Avoided conflict to the max. Initially I thought damn you're gonna make your woman do the hard work? But then I realized she went to warn the girl, and thought that was way more clever.
Yup, some people should understand, this is Japan so people are more reserved generally. But if you go up to the guy in other countries, a guy like that could very well cause a physical alterication, which is why many people don't do anything. Drugged out guys like that could pull out a weapon any second.
It's much better option to warn the girl and the establishment. This is what bouncers are for.
Might be clever but sometimes it's not but yeah might be a good idea for it.
I think confront them would be ideal as stranger is not easily trust you but that is woman and woman so they should understand each other.
Same I jumped to conclusions at first and was like wtf why you gonna make the woman confront? Then realized that was super slick

It's a common thing to have access to those kind of drugs over here in the US, but what the first guy says is true. Not everyone has access to those kind of drugs in Japan. Usually you have to be into some real shady stuff, and be involved with some dangerous people, so its beyond brave to step up in a situation like that. TOTALLY slipped my mind until he said that.

You are aware of the history between these countries, yes? I've heard majority of Asia doesnt look at Japan in a positive light due to the past which is irrelevant for here, most of Japan's past isnt even taught because its so severely violent. "Comfort women" is the least bad thing they did back in the day. They almost deleted Korea's language and culture among many other things.
Of course modern day Japan is pretty good, hell to live in if you arent used to it, but pretty good all the same.

I believe this is what we call "culture differences" Japan tends to be more subtle in their approach to these things, where an American would have shot him in the head. Then the American would go to jail for murder.
