I'll never forget this game where they honored Brett Favre. Dak Prescott was a rookie at this moment in his career he had the most pass attempts without throwing a single interception in NFL history and at Halftime He and Farve got together on the sideline an shook hands and sure enough to start the 2nd half Dak threw a Interception.

Favre is definitely top ten. That performance on Monday night after his dad’s death is legendary.

Farve is underrated
So one game makes someone top 10? He is top 10 but saying one game puts him top ten....blasphemous
@@wakoblank I agree with you but I think he was using it as one point to the argument, not the entire argument. One reason of many in other words.
Samuel Picart that’s a better way to put it tho, ya know what I’m saying?
Brett Favre over Peyton Manning? Jesus Christ, Skip.
I know right! I just about fell out of my chair when Skip said that :D I'd taking Manning over Farve any day. In his prime I don't think there was anyone as good as Manning. Brady is great in his own right and has had impressive longevity and it's impressive an all that he's still an elite quarterback into his 40's, but I don't think anyone was a more dangerous passer than Manning when he played for Indianapolis. Favre was a good quarterback, but I think it's questionable for me if he even gets into the top 10 all time.
@@Ben-hl5mu I agree!!
Its a lot closer than people think. Peyton Manning hurts his legacy because he’s a huge playoff choker

First Take is going to be cancel in 2 years or less. This show is much better because everybody can say what they have to say without anything held back.
Idk, at this moment I find them both boring. Unless there isn't major news, this is all recycled debates. They always go back to the same, Brady, deflategate, concussions, Rodgers playoff record, tebow, chip kelly the racist, Kaepernick the unamerican, Manning's regular season stats, Andrew luck compared to Manning, Durant and the Warriors drama, pacman and mayweather, lebron and MJ drama, Dak and Romo, IT WAS A CATCH, etc. There is so many topics that they cycle them throughout the week. Only click on the videos now where I know they will talk about something new and get their opinion on it. Everything else I can go back on UA-cam and see Skips or SAS take on Luck, Brady, Manning or MJ... I don't need to hear it every week of every month of every year.
It's better because of Shannon Sharpe. If they kick Skip Bayless out of this shown, this show would be much much much better :)
9:23 Skip: "Aaron Rodgers is in the decline."
Aaron Rodgers: Proceeds to throw 40 TD, 7 INT, 276 yds/game, 104 passer rating in 2016

Lmbo that was too hilarious
Skip's list is for comic relief only.
you notice how Skip defends white players with such flaws on there record but Black athletes/players he holds to an impossible higher standard.
I don't even think he's racist its just an implicit bias when he see's a white guy fail that he says in his mind "he's working hard and TRYING", but the black athlete has been "gifted his talents" and therefor anything short of perfection for his Black bucks is seen as a failure.
Skip is a professional troll. I am surprised he didn't take out during the segment to bash Lebron James!
He always bashes Aaron Rodgers, who happens to be white, is the BIGGEST Jordan fan out there, who happens to be black.
Jordan who is the greatest athlete arguably in any sport, yes its not hard to not bash him.
but look at him in this clip on rodgers side in defense, and on First take when he was defending Manning or Brady or romo or brees or Sam bradford.
than name the last time he was defending any black athlete who wasnt the greatest of all time who is going through a slump.
DannyNoHoes ?
Thank god! They gave Brees some love!
Agreed!
Peyton Kennedy
Brees is always overlooked.
He's in my top 5
brees is great but a top 5 not even close
Brees is top 8

+Daniel Yankun Brady is a system Qb
+Project 7 I can't believe there are people who still think Brady is a system qb. You must have been hit a lot of times because that CTE is setting in pretty early for you.
+Daniel Yankun You're part of the reason why Pats fans have a bad rep.
Went to Minnesota and almost got the the bowl, and made the Jets much better, as an old dude. When someone can just go to another team and succeed, like the old Montana in Kansas City, that's impressive.
Michael Ferguson thats right sir
It's true
Its a fuking crime he threw that int in N.Orleans. Broke my heart. Winning the bowl that year would have elevated his status, big time
Old comment but the Jets treaded water with Favre so I disagree with the Jets part. 9-7 with him at QB, he leaves, they go 9-7 again and get to AFC championship, then go like 11-5 and back to the AFC championship. The Jets were on the rise before Favre, that defense was scary, and his involvement in 2008 made little to no impact. All that ended up happening is they his his injury and the Jets had to pay a 125k fine.

Skip: “Brett made a bunch of clutch plays late in games!”
Sharpe: “For both teams!!!”

Brett would definitely be in my Top 10, I remember he threw a very nearly 100 yard, accurate pass & he barely launched his arm, the man hand a Cannon, & he was extremely tough for a QB. He could throw one of the fastest, hardest pass, while under pressure, & it would still be accurate enough to hit you right between the numbers, Favre was a bad boy!
Hes weak between the ears though
Bad boy irl too

Skip's list wasn't good lol
Skip has always had a lot of struggles with reality.
If Staubach wasn’t in the navy, he would definitely be an all time great
Staubach was great, AND deserving to be on that list. But yeah, Favre shouldn't be in the top 5, too many other guys did it with fewer mistakes. Without looking at stats, Brady, Montana, Elway, Manning, Unitas, maybe Young, Staubach, Rodgers, Aikman... am I missing anyone else who did it better than Favre? I don't know my pre Montana (Pre 77 or so) era football that well. Does Marino deserve to be over Farve? Does Eli (rings not stats)? Does Brees? Brees probably does. Big Ben? Likely. Someone down below was talking about Otto Graham, old school QB I don't know.
Bottom line, champions make it happen when it matters, Favre did that, but he made a lot of turn overs when it really mattered as well. He had the balls to try and fail, alot of QBs wouldn't. So credit due, but he isn't top 5, barely top 10 I think.
Yea its trash
Adrian Anderson: Well said, Adrian! I agree with everything you said. Yes, Roger Staubach was great, and deserving to be on Skip's list. Staubach would have been even more impressive, but I believe he had to spend four years in the Navy. Re the other names you mentioned, I would put these QBs ahead of Brett Favre: Brady; Montana; Elway; Marino; Unitas; Peyton Manning; Aaron Rodgers; Drew Brees; Steve Young; and Staubach, of course. Oh, there is one other name you mention: Troy Aikman. In terms of their overall careers, I would rank #4 ahead of Aikman. However ....., that is solely due to Brett's numbers, and longevity. Simply put, in a SB, or any winner-take-all game, give me Aikman all day, any day. The man was a stone cold killer in pivotal games. In the 90's, Aikman was overshadowed by the likes of Favre, Young, Marino, and Elway. However, in crunch time, I truly feel that Aikman was better than those four. Like Joe Montana, the man had ice in his veins.
I remember Favre saying that he hoped that people would remember him not as a quarterback but as a football player. No matter where he is on your list of favorite quarterbacks you can’t deny his entertainment value.
“You have to throw an interception.”🤣🤣🤣
Honorable Mentions. Outside of my top 10, but still great: Fran Tarkenton, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Fouts, Warren Moon, Kurt Warner, Steve Young, Jim Kelly, Troy Aikman.
best evre was Elway, but i have to admit my "best evre" only started since 1978,.. Fouts was also amazing... Favre was the best Qb in the league for at least half of the years he played
@@KORPI24 Fouts was overrated !
There are people who put Bradshaw in the top 10. However, there was another QB in his division who was statistically better. Ken Anderson. If you switched the two and put them on each other's teams, Anderson is a hall of famer, Bradshaw is not.

From a Objective Bears fan. Farve was the real deal. A winner. A gamer. A man who elicited fear in his opposition. I’ll take the INT’s. Who was he throwing to. In a must win in his prime? I’m gonna take Farve.
Brett Favre is the most fun athlete I’ve ever watched in any sport. His personality was bigger than his right arm. And he was tougher than most linebackers. I lived and died on Favre’s arm, and I’m just fine with that.

@@musoehcr Typical Saints fan... :4)
It's different rapping is a choice of preference what kind you like football has numbers and stats
It's so tough to rank all-time QB's because of the different eras and scenarios that all these QB's played in. If we just look at passing numbers, Manning's are just insane, so by that alone he should be labeled as the best. However, we don't go off of just numbers, because by that logic there would be a multitude of players people put ahead of Joe Montana, but we don't because he has won 4 Super Bowls. What's interesting to me is the insane value people put into Super Bowl victories, because of how much an impact a great defense and/or head coach can make in being the difference between losing in the 1st round, or winning it all.
HawkingRegime Montana and Bradshaw are undefeated with 4 wins. winning matters, unless you talk to a woman.

I like how by all of Skip's shallow standards Peyton Manning is the better quarterback (more touchdowns, more yards, more MVPs, more Super appearances and victories), yet he still ranks Brett Favre ahead of him. And in true Skip Bayless fashion he either doesn't have an explanation or doesn't have a coherent/consistent explanation.

Favre’s last season with the Vikings was super fun to watch

These 3 are VERY VERY FUNNY LOL
Brett Favre had accomplished way more than Unitas and Brees. Favre had revived a whole organization and took it to playoffs and was a couple of passes away from being in 4 or 5 superbowls. Brees is top 10 but despite his greatness hasn't taken his team anyway without a good defense. Farve has had a good defense for some time, but not always and still managed without it. To put brees ahead of Favre is ridiculous.
Lmao "favre revived a whole orginization" BREES MADE THE SAINTS, they hadnt won a playoff game before he came and he took a 2-14 team to the nfc championship game in his first year. The saints were on the browns level but youre probably too young to rmbr that.
You're right about that.... remember the bags saints fans use to wear on their heads...😂
Farve was a couple of passes away from going to 4 or 5 super bowls you say, those passes he was throwing to the other team. Folks forget how many games farve cost the packers in the playoffs going way back to when aikman/smith/Irving and the cowboys were ran over everybody and those meetings vs the cowboys farve does what he does best, throw a late INT to cost his team a playoff win. There is no way that I want farve to be my QB in the fourth qtr, he plays like McNabb in crunch time. Yeah I said that. He was a good regular season QB but in the playoffs, dude was a choker!!
Respectfully there's no way I'd take Favre over Brees. Brees has better stats than Favre in almost every category, he has a higher completion percentage, QB Rating, TD/Int ratio, and he blows Favre away in yards per season average. While it's hard to say for certain because I've never been in the NFL or on the team with either QB, I'd say Brees has better leadership skills than Favre too. Brees is calm and collected and sets a great example for his team, whereas Favre showed a self centered mentality when he felt threatened about Rogers coming to Green Bay. Favre deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but he didn't have the career Brees did in my opinion.
Those mid to late 90s Packers teams led by Bret were dynasty busters. Dallas and my San Francisco 49ers were the only teams in the NFC relevant until Bret came thru gunslinging and killing Steve Young and Troy Aikmans chances
Aikman and cowboys owned the pack
Not quite, Switzer and Jerry Jones destroyed the cowboys dynasty.
Brett at his peak was top seven all-time at least. My problem with him is that he also had games like the Rams and Vikes playoff losses. 10 picks in those two games, my god that's horrible.
even in the year the Packers won the Super Bowl...they still lost to the Dallas Cowboys. The Dallas Cowboys owned Bret Favre.
@@Damianoutlaw only thing the Cowboys own is VHS tapes of the last time they sniffed a superbowl game

His brother could’ve had a Hall of Fame career if it wasn’t for the health issue
and now Brady has done it too
He maintained his streak while simultaneously supporting his team the best way he could, so why judge him negatively for that? Wth???
alextrose7 because the best decision was for him to be replaced.
watching this 5 years later is absolutely comical 🤣
One thing Favre had and you see it every game he played was simple love and passion of the game.
Also I dont know why no one mentioned the 49er game with his first year as a Viking with final sec throw and win. That game made that Vikings team his. Plus people will talk about that interception at Saints game but not the fumbles by AP or drops in the endzone by his receivers or the hi/low hits he took with no flags or the 5 4th and longs Viks defense failed at in OT. Only reason Viks were in that game was cause of Brett. Oh and people fail to mention at age 40, first year with Vikings, he was in the MVP race.
This all coming from a Packer fan but I have mad respect and love for Favre one the greatest to play.
So happy to have Rob Parker back, may not agree with a lot of what he says, but debate shows are centred around debate. Conflicting opinions, conflicting arguments results in entertaining television. Keep it up guys!

I'm kinda with Skip on this one. I wouldn't say he's top 5 of all time, but I do think Brett Favre is grossly underappreciated. I hear the fans, media attack Favre so much, comparing him to his successor. I get it, Aaron Rodgers is awesome and Packers fans probably don't miss Favre one bit, but that should not diminish Favre's greatness. He was still an unbelievable player. I'll never forget how fun it was to watch him play
As a bears fan I can tell you first hand, Favre was a killer
Brett will always be #1 to me. Near the end of his Packers days, I was frustrated with him and was happy to see someone new. I did enjoy watching him play for the Vikings and I wasn't bitter he played for them.
As a niner fan, he was a thorn in our sides. Scary.

I'd put Steve Young, and Dan Marino above Brett Favre as well
Marino is arguable only because of the rings. It's the only reason why I have him below farve to be honest, but Steve young to me didn't do it long enough at the top

Steve Young?!?! Man let me tell something. He underachieved in my opinion, that guy was given a super bowl team and got just one!?!? To be honest had the Niners kept Montana that team probably wins one or two more Superbowls!
Tom Brady has won 3 Super Bowls since this, and the last one with another team 😳

Ha only cause he played so long. Before he retired: Montana, Elway, Marino, and Young are better than him. And after Favre; Brady, Manning, Brees, ans Rogers. Hes #9 and thats generous. Russel Wilson will eventually pass him, You could argue that Aikman and Bradshaw are better
J Silva Lmfaooo young is not better than farve and neither is brees maybe Rodgers
Mad Max Brees is definitely better than Favre
Brees only made it to 2 nfc championships and and 1 sb while went to five and 2 sb. Brees never had the arm of favre only mahomes really has his arm strength. Get outta here.
Will Seest I can agree with you about arm strength but Brees is the most accurate QB in NFL history! If you are judging sbs then yes he’s better than Brees. But Brees has the record for most tds and most yards passing all time and most accurate. So :/

“First 3 minutes of Brady’s highlight reel is Adam Vinatieri”
I'm not that high on Favre myself. This debate got heated tho lol.
Favre is top 5, EASY, people who never watched him play or forget. This man won 3 MVP's in a row in one of the most dominant streaks of QB's in the 90's then had the greatest season ever for a 40 year old, a 40 year old who played through that whole bounty gate game on the Vikings and prob should of won another MVP.
White Mamba Brady just surpassed his 40 year season.
Too many pick 6's at big moments in big games
Brett favre is my childhood NFL idol and what not growing up all I loved was favre ken griffey jr in MLB & I liked Ewing in NBA personally, strictly speaking...Favre is in my top 10...its almost criminal to not include him in 10.
Packers fan here. Hard to put Favre in the top ten all time with all the picks and playoff games that shoulda woulda been won but were lost directly as a result of his picks. He's a well deserving first ballot HOFr but he's not on the same level as the other top ten quarterbacks all time. He gave me some of the greatest memories watching football with friends and family and will always be among the most beloved sports figures in Wisconsin.
”Aaron rodgers is on the decline”- Skip
Meanwhile he just won his 3rd MVP
