It saddens me that your stuff isn't more popular because it's more than deserved. Loving the designs and thanking you for the inspiration.
I really appreciate that! It's comments like this that keep the fire burning. Thanks, man.
Going back and rewatching videos of yours from years ago. Great stuff. Those curves plywoods. Tenacity!
Thanks for diving back into the old stuff, Eric!
I’m a 45 year old uk carpenter joiner. Loved watching this! Love ply furniture! Well done mate 👍👍👍👍
Really appreciate that, glad you enjoyed it!
Loving these old videos, and love this design style!
Dang! That is slick looking! I am enjoying looking at older videos of yours. Smaller shop, but still turning out amazing work. Kudos!
Haha, appreciate it! It is definitely nice to have more space, but there is something great about making it work in a small shop.
Respect. Your perseverance through all those cuts alone gets my sub. This piece is bad ass. Keep it up.
Haha, right on! I appreciate the support.
That small bit of yellow at the end was so smart, so subtle, but amazing. Great work!
A little splash of color is always nice. Thanks for watching!
Man.... You are incredible!! Your wood working knowledge must be in your DNA. Please keep these videos coming.
Really appreciate it! It must be from my McComber half.
Much respect. 👍👍Your craftsmanship of smooth lines is incredibly relaxing to the eye. You work that bandsaw to the brink! Someone will be lucky to own that original piece!
Thanks Robert! Really appreciate it!
Very nice!! Loving that style.
I very much like your vids, Shaun - Nicely shot, decent pace, unobtrusive & groovy tunes all shaped around the making of some really tasty furniture. Great work Sir!
Right on, man! Glad you are into it. Thanks for watching!
What a ton of work curves can bring to a project! Very nicely executed!
No kidding! But definitely worth it for the finished product. Thanks for watching!
Very cool builds...just stumbled on to your channel this afternoon...love the modern design you use...this piece is very cool...hope you get a bigger following and keep producing content because your furniture is awesome...
Thanks, I appreciate it! I've been thinking about making some new videos, so hopefully I'll have some new stuff up soon.
Awesome work man! Beautiful design! Congratulations! 👏👏👏
Thank you, man! Really appreciate the kind words.
What to say - fabulous intriguing bold but elegant piece of furniture. Congratulations
That's a piece of art, just wow, I'm starting into woodworking and hopefully some day I'll be able to do something like that. Great job
Thank you, really appreciate it! Good luck with your woodworking!
Wow. I have been addicted to your videos for the past week since I discovered your channel. You simultaneously inspire me and make me want to quit woodworking. Well done.
Awesome, really appreciate it! Hopefully more inspiration than wanting to quit. I just watched your snare drum build, that thing came out super nice!
This is incredible. Great work man
Yo bud, just came across your channel, and I'm binge watching all the furniture builds as we speak. This one is beyond amazing!!!! God bless, and greetings from Jersey bud!!!
Really appreciate it, Mike! Thanks for checking out my work!
@@shaunboydmadethis you got it bud!!!! Keep putting out great videos, and ppl. will keep watching. I've told all my boys that enjoy woodworking to check you out!!! As always God bless, and greetings from Jersey bud!!!
nice build Shaun! Subscribed! looking forward to more
Thanks a lot! You have some great stuff over on your channel, as well!
Thanks man! I laughed when I saw your eclipse video, because I totally posted one too! (i drove down to OR from Seattle.)
Yeah, I watched yours, too. What a wild experience it was seeing the eclipse!
This is my first video of yours I've seen. Subscribed!
Right on! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Unbelievably awesome! 👍
I can't believe I've only just come across this video of yours. It's a really awesome build. I think it's been said before but I wish there was more explanation in this one. I think it could be my favourite thing you've done.
Thanks, man! Really appreciate it. Yeah, there are a couple videos from early on that I wish I had done some explaining. If I make another one, I will definitely reshoot it and add some explanation.
Enjoyed this video very much Shaun! Very nice build, good music, production was well done too. Subbed!
Really appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Shaun,.i love looking back at your old vids when you were still in your garage, i especially love this build (i've watched it enough times). Coud you please tell me how many sheats of plywood you used for this piece? Also i love your new collab stuff that you and Chris are doing together, keep up the good work!
Thanks Robert, really appreciate it. Those were simpler days! I don't remember exactly how much plywood I needed for this piece, but I imagine I had a couple sheets just in case, but didn't use all of it.
That's beautiful! I really like the splash of colour
Thanks, I appreciate it! A little bit of color is always a nice touch.
Great design. I love the plywood look.
Thanks! The plywood really has such an interesting look to it.
Cant believe you only have 425 subscribers you deserve way more
Thanks a lot! I'm trying to figure out this whole youtube game. Maybe more videos with my dog will help.
Excellent work. I built something similar. All edge grain. No flat surfaces. The birch eats router bits for breakfast. Sanding on the grain bias is no treat either lol
I´m speechless. One of the most beautiful piece of furniture i´ve ever seen!
Really appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
Great amazing laborious work only an iron willed innovative inventor and trend setter can achieve
What a classic golden ratio scaled furniture piece
Really appreciate that! That piece is quite laborious, so I appreciate you recognizing that. Thanks!
Wow what a great design!! Great build!!!
Thanks a lot, really appreciate it!
Hi Shaun, this is the one that lead me into woodworking, you really inspired me..., hi five from across the ocean man
Awesome to hear! Thanks!
@@shaunboydmadethis yes, i now have my own built table saw, made it from circular saw with simple design... Also made a cabinet from 1 x 4, still need a lot learning... Cheers
Nice job Shaun. You videos show what someone can do when they don’t have some flashy workshop.
Really appreciate that! Thanks, Stephen!
Ummmm... I like can't believe how dope that is. I am so impressed. I love it. I want it. I hope one day I get to the level of woodworking skill you are at!! Just beautiful!!
Really appreciate your kind words! Thank you for watching!
That's really amazing. Great job!
Thanks a lot, Anthony! Appreciate it!
Sure thing! I checked out the website earlier. The whole Super Ply line put a smile on my face. Great work! Love the aesthetic!
Have I told you how awesome you are today? Another fantastic design and execution.
Haha, sounds familiar! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful peace. Love the modern design! Subbed!
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
I always wanted to make a table with visible plywood edge grain, because I thought it would look awesome. And I was right it does! Haha. Turned out amazing.
Totally, it has such a cool look once it is all glued up into one panel. Thanks for watching!
Love the video and I can’t get the music out of my head how do I get my hands on it
Awesome project, and love the video! You've inspired me to try and make something very similar. If you were to make it again, would you do anything differently? Or any general advice for tackling this project?
Also, how did you make your template for the curves? It looks like it's made from different wood and is very precise.
Keep up the great work.
Really appreciate it, and good luck on your project! There isn't anything I would do much differently. I have made a few of these since this one and haven't changed much. I suppose I could say that gluing up the curved parts evenly is pretty important, especially along the surfaces that get joined to the flat parts. For the template, I always make it with MDF, which is pretty easy to shape. Any straight parts are cut on the table saw or with a circular saw/track saw, then the curves are cut on the band saw and cleaned up with a spindle sander. Just take your time and be sure to get the template just right and it will make everything else much easier.
Just found your channel! Great work man!
Thanks, man! I've been following your channel for a little while, so I really appreciate it!
Really creative work, thanks for sharing
Really appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
This is awesome! I love it! You've gained another subscriber!
I really appreciate it, and thanks for following along!
Very nice Shaun, thinking of a similar design for a media console myself no drawers just a shelf in the mjddle hope it turns out as beautiful as your credenza!
Awesome, man! Good luck with it, these plywood pieces are a lot of work, but they end up with such a cool look!
Very Nice. Looks so tedious to build, i love the little yellow detail... subscribed.
Haha, yeah it can get a little tedious. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
One word... Epic!
love your work. where do you get your plywood? the pieces i'm seeing in your videos seem to have very few (if any at all) voids or knots in the inner plys. it seems no matter where i get mine they're plagued with holes and voids in the inner plys.
Thanks! I always use Baltic Birch Plywood for stuff like this. It is definitely a very nice material, with very few voids, but usually isn't sold at Home Depot or the other big stores. I have to go to a local lumber supplier to get mine.
Crazy man, got vertigo on the band saw portion. lol. Great build.
Thanks for watching! It gets a little wild with video sped up haha.
WOW!!!! this is beautiful
Thanks! Really appreciate it!
Yeah wow, fantastic work.
Hi Shaun, i´m really loving your work. Inspiring stuff! Would you mind telling me what finish you used on the top of the credenza ?
Thank you, really appreciate it! I used Danish Oil, then a topcoat of polyurethane as the finish for this one.
Such a great build! What type of finish did you use on the walnut ply? I just bought some and I’d love to get it to pop like this!
Thank you! Pretty sure I just used a couple coats of Danish Oil on this one.
Se mira hermoso. muy bonito Felicidades buen trabajando. una pregunta que marca de aceite usaste para darle brillo gracias
Gracias! Yo uso Danish Oil
Wow nice project man!
Thanks, appreciate it!
Very beautiful work and attention to detail !!! What kind of plywood did you use? Thanks
Thanks! It is Baltic Birch plywood.
Hey mate, just checking that your back has recovered from leaning over that router table since 2017? Good to see an earlier vid and also loving the new content in more ergonomic environments. Cheers!
Haha, my back is very happy that I have a normal height router table now. Thanks for checking out the old stuff!
Such a sweet setup, Subscribed for sure. How many pieces of ply did this take?
Thanks, really appreciate it! This piece takes 2 sheets for the cabinet, but I usually have a bit left over, and a sheet of walnut plywood for the fronts and the base.
Das melhores peças que já vi fazer por aki.. 👍🔝🔝🔝
Obrigado!
Shaun - awesome design!! Are the plans available for purchase? I don't see it on your website.
Thanks John! Unfortunately I don't have plans for this piece. Like a lot of my designs, I am hoping to have plans available for them at some point, it is just a matter of finding the time!
EXTRAORDINARIO!!!.....WONDERFUL WORK!!
THANK YOU! Really appreciate it!
do you have a jig for drilling the holes for the dowels or did you freehand that, excellent design btw.
Thanks for watching! If you are referring to the dowels used when gluing up the cabinet, those are all done with the festool domino. That tool has been invaluable for me.
You make some really cool stuff
Thanks, man! Really appreciate it.
Very nice bro! I like the project ; gives me an idea as well! It’s good to be creative
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Nice cabinet. You know it's videos like this that make my boss think I'm not working fast enough. How many hours did this project take. I think i noticed the tree in the yard lose its leaves. Oh, and that was funny when the saw was kicking back your off cuts and you set up the deflector board.
Haha, if only it all happened as fast as the video. Not totally sure on the total hours. Since this was the first one I did, it took a bit longer than the next couple. I would guess it was somewhere around 80 hours start to finish. Thanks for watching!
Nice work bro! Wood-work and corgies...what's not to love?!
Haha, it's a great combination! Thanks for watching!
When I saw the thumbnail I said "How is he going to bend those curved sides?" Beyond amazing, and the grain of the walnut ply! Wow!
Thank you! Yeah, the plywood edge has such a cool look when it is stacked up.
wow amazing excellent job congratulations
Thanks, appreciate it!
Hey there Shaun, great work. What drawer runners are you using that seem to self-close themselves? I've seen you use them in a few vids but can't find the name of them? Again, keep up the great work!
Thanks! They are made by Blum. They have a whole bunch of different options depending on your application.
Haha brilliant build mate. Well done!
Thanks Dan, really appreciate it!
Damn dude, you're the 2nd person to make me rethink that a credenza can actually look modern without it being "boxy". Great work, bud.
Right on, man! Really appreciate it.
that's I call -MASTERPIECE!
Hey, thanks a lot! Much appreciated.
Bloody excellent. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely mint!
Thanks!
Very nice. Good job
Thank you!
Fantastic!
Thanks!
That is awesome. Is it just optical illusion or is the top curved a bit? if yes, how did you make it curved and not flat? Subscribed for the awesomeness!
Really appreciate it, thanks for the support! That is just an optical illusion. Since the finished shots were filmed with a wide-angle lens, it just appears to be curved. Might be cool to make a big oval credenza, though!
PARABÉNS...belíssima peça!
Obrigado!
Definitely a beautiful piece, how many 4x8 sheets did it take?
Thanks, really appreciate it! Depending on how efficient I am with laying out the curves, I can do it with two sheets, and have a bit left over.
Hey man what type of plywood did you use for the frame? I know you used walnut ply for the draws and doors... This is awesome by the way brother, congrats!!
Thanks, really appreciate it! The cabinet is made from 3/4" Baltic Birch Plywood.
What a master job, too beautiful. =)
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate that!
Cara muito top os seus projetos. Abraço aqui do Brasil.
Obrigado!
This rocks!
Thanks, man! Really appreciate it.
That, sir is amazing where did you hone your skills
Thank you! For the most part, just learned by doing. Worked for a couple talented furniture makers over the years, as well.
Fabuloso. Keep going maestro!
Thank you! I'll keep it going, no problem!
Very nice build
I really appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
That's really cool, but I'm not sure the legs balance visually. It looks a bit unstable given the visual weight of the Credenza. I bet it's sturdy enough though. Have you built other versions of this? The details and color of the drawers and cabinet doors is spot on. Pretty damn cool. Nice work.
Thanks for watching, and thanks for your comment! When I designed it, I actually wanted the legs to look small underneath the cabinet, not so much to look unstable, but more just to make it feel like it shouldn't work, which I guess is kind of the same thing haha. I have built a couple versions, all pretty close in dimensions though.
i love it!! thank you!!!
es un mueble precioso, gran trabajo
Muchas gracias.
Para você tiro meu chapéu muito bom seu trabalho Deus abençoe
Obrigado!
Muy bonito y elegante proyecto. gracias
Muchas gracias!
What is the radius of the corner?
Great job.
Thanks! The outside radius of the corner is 3½" and the inside is 2¼" to get 1¼" thickness.
Beautiful work anda nice
Thanks, I appreciate it!
very nice job, what color of stain do you use ?
Thanks. No stain, just Danish Oil.
Beautiful!!
Thank you!
An excellent job, congratulations
Gorgeous
Thank you!
That's a fine piece of furniture
Thank you, really appreciate it!
This really great great, you take suggestions for new projects?
Yeah, for sure. I always like to hear new ideas.
Excelent Job
Thanks, really appreciate it!
how long did it take to build it? It looks stunning!
Thanks, really appreciate it! This was the first one, so it probably was about a week start to finish. I have made a few since then and have it down to a few days now.
Kickin' butt again Shaun! NICE JOB!
Thanks, man!
