read prince of thorns a few years ago and it was an insufferable experience but the plot twist did intrigue me a lot. good to know the next books are better, maybe i'll continue one day
Everytime i heard chopstick tap on the book I felt like I had to turn my head and pay attention throughout this vid 😂 I read Foxglove earlier this year and believe me the SLANG I had the audiobook the amount of times god came up I had to speed it up chipmunk to get thru it
I feel like you have to read Red Sister by Mark Lawrence, or the whole Book of the Ancestor trilogy. See if it'll change your opinion of Lawrence afterwards. I dont really think people should judge the author for the characters they create. A character's belief, opinion and action doesnt always reflect the author's own point of view. It should be okay to have to write a problematic character without the fear of it being perceived as a direct reflection of the author's own values.
OMG! A trip I can finally join! Question, tho, if I live in Mexico City, can I join you guys for free if I pay for all my meals and the places we visit???
Bleeding god bleed my brain and bleed my eyeballs 😂😂 thank you I was sooooo done with that book. At least I finished it so I can justify that I paid for it, right? 🙃
I hate when book covers are gorgeous but you can just tell it's not gunna be it. I am glad I avoided The Foxglove King. It just screamed "my beautiful cover is hiding my ya-trope-story".
I gave up reading Mark Lawrence's books since his 2020 scandal regarding V.E. Schwab (he convinced his fandom to cyberbully Schwab and other authors/readers who had criticized his books previously). That's an author I'll definitely not support
The struggle to remember the title of TSATWON gets worse when you read the sequel cause their covers ARE LITTERAL COPIES OF EACH OTHER 💀 btw ellias if you’re taking vid recs id love to see you talk about sequels and series like the ones youre not gonna finish, the ones you wanna get to ecttt always great to see you!!
I am SO GLAD I wasn’t the only one that thought Divine Rivals was a stand-alone and freaked out at the end 😅
i was about to throw a fit 😠
Thanks for the cute feature about our cat stuff!!! 😻😻😻

I was on the fence about Divine Rivals but now im definitely reading it. Thanks!

I DNF'ed Foxglove King. Just not worth it for me.
