Good to mention that an individual can have 2 or more different textures on the head. I myself have 2C, 3A, and 3B at the same time. Love your videos and tips! 😊 (Just saw that you mentioned it in your type 3 video)
I have 3c, 4a, and 4b. I’m happy you explained 3c vs 4a. I’m not really sure if I have 4b in the back or 4a and possibly low porosity in the back. The front is definitely high porosity but when I moisturize the back it looks just like the front but it tends to be dryer in the back and looks more fro like. The front in some spots have a very loose curl, almost straight. The middle in definitely s curls but the back tends to go more fro like in a few days but the front maintains its curl pattern
I have the same three types of hair type as you! The back and top crown is a 4b and also dries out more and I have to def add more products plus do finger coiling to make it look defined. I’m learning more about my hair at the age of 46 😊
I have the same 4b hair, and it's so soft and coily when it's wet. However, it hugs itself to death that when dry, Itso is knotty, so having it straight stops the knots😂
I have 3c, 4a, and 4b....I started using a combo of light serums, heavy moisturizer and light oil 👍🏼my hair loved it. I have high porosity and other methods of moisturizing left my hair dry (even with carefully checking the ingredients). I learned I had to moisturize everyday, maybe twice a day to keep my hair happy.

Hi Mike! Happy to see your videos on the hair types. You made me realize that I've been classing myself as 4a but I really am 3c. I found you from your Kerastase videos and I purchased 3 products due to your videos. I must say I really am pleased with them as my hair feels amazing now. I got the curl manifesto mask, the discipline line's keratine thermique and the Elixir ultime oil. I do have a question for you though. Do you think I should buy more of the Discipline line for the days I choose to do a blow out and flat iron? I live in the Caribbean and just the thermique has done a good job with keeping my hair from reverting due to the humidity. It makes me wonder if I use the shampoo, mask, and conditioner if the results will last even longer. Would love your advice.

Great video but I'm still unsure of what my hair type is 😕 the hair around my hairline, nape & edges is very loose, soft, with clear curl patterns, that grows quickly - possibly 4a (?) but the hair growing from my crown is very dense, shrinks and is undefined... I don't know if it's 4b/c!?! it is genuinely cotton-like & puffs up, even with water/moisture...it still has low porosity & so different from the rest of my head
