IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... AH I CAN'T STOP CRYING 😢😢😢
I knew this mv was going to be excellent, but I didn't expect it to move we all like this. The tenderness (almost innocence?) between them was so disarming. And then the hopelessness of it all... I was so immersed that I could feel their fear and despair.. V and IU's acting and chemistry are so excellent. I loved the fact that Taehyung was not the stereotypical fearless male lead. That man was terrified (he acted it so well!!) and that made everything, including his moment of bravery, feel even more real.😢❤
V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭😭😭❤❤😮😢❤
This one absolutely has subtitles and you should have had them on. And you should have watched the video more closely than you did. The song and the video fit extremely well together.
The mood of the song and M/V may be enough for some people, while others may need a clearer interpretation. Read the notes below to help you understand.
Director Eom Tae-hwa, the creator of the "Love wins all" M/V, released an interpretation guide for the M/V. IU also shared her thoughts on the song with her fans. Referring to it, you can interpret the contents of the M/V as follows.
* Cube: oppression, discrimination
* IU's lip piercing (speech impediment), V's eyes with disability: shows difficulties in communicating with the world
* Camcorder: the filter of love (a very important device that allows the protagonists to see beyond their inner and outer appearance and see a whole and happy world)
* Wedding dress, tuxedo: means 'the fruit of love'
* People dressed in black: A world that interrupts lovers who are focusing on each other and having a happy time (there's a singing scene, so you can interpret this as IU's anti-fan)
* Male protagonist : He can be interpreted to mean IU's fans. This is because IU revealed her thoughts on the song to her fans, saying that she wanted to be with them at the beginning and end of her career. She said she's not scared and wants to end her career in style with her fans later in life.
In the final scene of the MV, the wedding dresses and tuxedos worn by the protagonists after their physical bodies are annihilated by the cube fall to the ground, symbolizing the social forms we consider important and meaningful in real life and suggesting that they are not the essence of life. This scene shows the liberation of the main characters from the oppression and discrimination they face from society.
Director Eom Tae-hwa said that there is an interpretation guide for the 'Love wins all' M/V, but that he welcomes various interpretations regardless.

IU songs and videos are multi-layered and very detailed a lot of underlying meaning. It may have just been above your head
I love them so much. IU is BTS's best friend, Suga, and V She's so cute and iu has boyfriend 🤣
The cube represents discrimination.As well as the people dressed in black in the wedding.
I think the MV would make more sense if you know the lyrics (please turn on the CC), as it talks about sticking together till the end, which is what the MV is portraying. Despite the post-apocalyptic world and the fact they're running for their lives, their love sustains them. They are still there for each other, protecting each other, with him trying to beat the cube and her shielding him from seeing their end by covering his good eye.

Captions on for foreign music, it might have made sense and IU worked hard on this music and lyrics.

That happens when you ignore the fact that the true success of this MV is due to the performance of the two, especially Taehyung (BTS V). IU is a Queen but the success is due to Army and V's fans so that she can come to say you didn't like the video 😅😅
If you are going to react to an IU by watching it only once I can guarantee that you will either not understand it or will be incorrect in your analysis. The majority of her videos, which she uses to add depth and meaning to the story she is telling use a lot of metaphors and symbolism in that process. If one and done is how u approach her MV's you would be better off just watching her live performances where you can just enjoy the show and not have to worry about figuring any out or trying to under what's is going on.
You stated after watching the MV once that the video on concept didn't go with song and could have been done differently. WOW just WOW. Really. Let's look at some of the things you completely missed (some of these items are based on the fact that you never reacted to them or commented on them.
1. There are in fact English sub titles. You never even checked.
2. V is Blind in his left eye and very important aspect in the video. And you weren't even watching the video at this point as you were looking away.
3. IU's lip ring. It is difficult to miss so I'll assume you saw it and likely thought it was just part of her costume. It in fact was an important piece of information. The lip ring is drawing attention to her mouth showing that she has a speech issue, she is mute. Nor deaf and there is a reason why it matters.r
4. Did you notice that outside IU reacted to the sound of the cube passing overhead, and again inside where V and IU both reacted to the sound at the exact same time? A little detail that many missed, bit it totally discredit the claim that IU was deaf. She not. She is in fact mute.
5. Did you notice that when V first looked at IU through the camcorder that the lip ring was not present allow with all her other wounds and injuries and torn clothes? The wounds and clothes maybe, hard to miss those but u didn't say anything.
6. That V's eye was OK. Pretty big piece of info there. But since u apparently did not see that his eye was a different and unhealthy color seeing it in its normal color would not mean anything.
7. In the restaurant did u notice the cobwebs on everything, partial eaten food etc. Hard to miss, but again no comment.
8. It is again hard to miss the fact that looking through the lens of the camcorder the world is different. When IU pretents to eat something then actually experiences actually eating something is again information that about this alternate reality they are experiencing. It isn't showing the past or memories as many suggest it is showing the presence and how they thought or wished there lives would be. An again no lip ring.
9. The Photo booth. Again hard to miss but inside they are in their alternate reality but the pictures show their true reality.
10. The people who enter the restaurant. Again u can't miss that. But did u notice that IU and V are not the least threatened by them? And heading hit on the head by a Ballon knocks them down? Don't have the time to go into the meaning of this scene, except to say it has nothing to do with disabilities or marginalized persons as so many incorrectly claim.
11.That during the wedding scene IU is holding a microphone and singing w/o the lip ring? Again showing that in reality she lost her voice but in the alternate reality she again has it her voice back.
12. Did you notice that after V attached the cube and fell and IU went to him when she wrapped her arm around him she tapped his chest 3 times? The meaning of which is "I love you"?
13. Certainly you saw that she covered his 'good' eye. Maybe then you figured out that the other eye was blind or maybe you didn't understand that either.
And by the way the lyrics of the song fit perfectly with the concept of the video. And the cubes, what they are, why they are doing what they are doing is irrelevant. It only matters that they are doing it. The story and the message is about the couple and Love Winning, period. Making the Cubes into some kind of social statement about the world is misguided and changes the story from being about Love to being about whatever social issue you pin on the cubes. Something many have done and claim incorrectly and to be honest is offensive to IU, V and the actual story.
IU was the producer of the video and the wrote the lyrics. So the concept, vision and storyline are hers. For you to suggest period that it vould have been done better, when in fact you missed most of the details of the video and didn't know any of the lyrics is really bad.
It would be like someone who is seeing a Cricket match for the 1st time saying "this game could have created better" "the rules don't make any sense, they could have made the rules make more sense" right. But such a person would have no credit at all.

I've been a subscriber for a while now and have always enjoyed your reactions. Maybe this isn't the right type of song/video for you? I feel like you really weren't plugged in, so the reaction came across as a bit lazy or disinterested.

Dude, you missed it completely
While I thank you for your review of the MV and am glad you liked IU's voice and the song, I do not agree with you regarding the video - nor do the 30-50 other reactors I've watched since this outstanding MV was posted. I knew you would not probably "get" the video since you were not watching it most of the time and were concentrating on the song only, therefore missing what might have been clues for you to have connected song to video. BTW, the MV does have captions in English.
