The pairing the chemistry and IU's vocals and their acting just brought the song to life and made it emotional.
If you've seen IU's acting, her performance here won't surprise. V's is more surprising. IU is an elite-level actress, ready for Cannes/Oscar/etc awards if the right role came along
A comment on another reaction video that somewhat explains the mv: IU is mute, and V is half blind, hence the eye. What the camera sees is what the couple actually sees each other as, and represents their safe heaven they’ve created with their love, free from judgment of the outside world. The actual apocalyptic reality is how they really are and they are perceived as flawed or 'different' by the outside world. The box probably symbolizes the box of norms created by society and those ideals are what is threatening them and their love. That's why I think the song is called 'Love Wins All'
I've watched this video over 300 times from reactions and I still cry IU is amazing
This video was a masterpiece an emotional ride fun fact she had the flu during video shoot one day ran 7 hours and it was freezing cold she's amazing and V acting also good
IU's drama (my mister) is really a masterpiece, I recommend you to watch it.
I've now watched almost 50 kdramas, and it' still the best one I've seen so far.
I think at the end in the camcorder, it showed a gentle end (them being slowly lifted up) as opposed to the disintegration happening in reality. She covered his eye at the end so he didn't have to see the end coming. Notice how his blind eye relaxes after she covers the working one. Since V has burns on his hand on the same side as his blind eye, I theorize he had a near miss with the cubes before and is terrified even more than IU.
She was covering his good eye (the other was blind) to protect him, her love was so big for him that she didn't want him to see how they will be killed😭😭😭😭she didn't want him to see their destiny, that's how big her love for his lover was 😭💜 this whole song I take it as how in love Iu was/is and how even in the darkest moments, their love wins all bc that's something people can't take away from her
Ah now thaaaaat makes sense. I didn't take the more simple route that he was blind in one eye, instead I was thinking up some sci-fi explanation 😅

I guess she covered his normal eye to protect him, which means love, because she protected him from the start of this music video.
The cubes are trolls/ media. In the MV, she is deaf/mute, he is partially blind - it may seem there is no fathomable way these two can understand each other. This video is dedicated to artists, great Korean idols. The cube represents the Korean music and film industry, where every artist is under threat of social pressure, where one wrong move can ruin their careers, where they can be intimidated by the media and end their lives, living under stress and constant fear. Through the lens of a video camera, artists, idols of many, are beautiful and happy, but in real life they are very vulnerable. The Industry sucks all the juice out of them and then throws them away as if they were old and unnecessary clothes. In South Korea, the big music lobbies have a way of treating artists that is scary. If they see that they are good and successful, they take everything and more out of each of them, becoming ruthless. But when they have been exploited to the point of exhaustion, they leave them aside like broken toys. More than one artist has ended up committing suicide. Everything is very sad. At its end the trolls/ media come to consume another artist and fandom and discard it like a pile of clothes and IU is ready to fight but V (the fans) steps in front of her to defend her and their bond, but they are met with a bitter end. A sad reality every artist must face someday. She sheilds V's good eye to protect him from the inevitable. .😭😭😭😭
Is the ticket sale for IU's tour really over?? The first article I read about the tour said to look forward to when tickets go on sale but then the next one I read said ticket sales ended already but that we can still get tickets on vivid seats or whatever, like wthhh??! 😭 When did tickets even go on sale?? I didn't see anything about it omg... 😢 And here I am crying all over again cuz of the story of this MV, IU's angelic vocals, and the thought that I might really not be able to ever here IU sing this song, I stan U, and all her other songs that I love live 😭💔
