@@backwoodsty I have done this 3 times and that was the calmest I have seen! I do not plan to do anymore this year but in the future would love to go again
@@Wisconsin_Outdoors I'll look forward to those videos when you do go out next! Now just back to the marshes again with looming rifle season next month?
@@backwoodsty I have been hunting deer alot because there doesn't seem to be ducks around by me. The bucks are chasing does already and have had a camera in the treestand and marsh with little success. I will be back in the marshes and stand a bunch in coming weeks and hopefully something interesting happens!
I’m wondering what kind of boat the tender boat is.? It looks great. Strong. Any info you would share on that would be helpful…. The brand, the model, length, and the horse power of that motor. Thanks
Looks like a great time. Why were you set up to shoot into the sun? Its makes hitting them much harder. Probably has to do with wind direction. Do you ever shoot any Harlequin Ducks? Common or Red Brested Mergs? Any kind of Scoters?

Thanks for the sub!
That was a pretty cool hunt!
If you have never done it you have to try it once!
Hell yeah! Awesome job and cool video! Never seen a side by side layout boat set up, normally see just a solo but nice to have a second gun out
This is the first time I have seen a double layout as well it is pretty cool and more stable than a single layout boat
@@Wisconsin_Outdoors seemed like it especially with a little chop out there on Michigan. Plans to do any more layout boat/guided hunts this season?

I honestly do not know...
What the heck was in that black box? Took up a lot of room in the layout. Nice hunt. I've hunted there for Long Tails myself, it's a great time.
It is all my camera gear. Batteries, chargers, etc..It was not comfortable with that box in there but I wanted to keep everything safe and dry

The way we set up is based on the wind. the mergansers are closer to shore. I have never shot harlequin but there are scoters around
Just curious but why do you tap the side of your gun before shooting? I see a lot of other duck hunters doing it
Tapping the gun turns on the camera on my barrel
