Great video! And honestly I feel the same I've quit hunting sea ducks because the fact they are hard to make taste good! And also if you cut the pieces smaller like into quarter inch cube size it makes it much better!
Loved this video, you should do more of these in the future. Also try making Hunter Sausage out of those Sea Ducks it's really good with the right mixture of spices and a small amount of Pork Sausage added and smoked.
I like making my scoters into sausage and stock. They make awesome stock. I highly recommend it. The usage just depends on my mood and the time of the year. Right now it’s smoked polish.
Hey love the content! I live in the eastern shore. I want to start trying the offshore and sea duck zones this upcoming season but have never done it. Any advice? Also how do you rig your decoys in such rough water?
Hey thanks for the comment! My best advice would be to look at the offshore waterfowl zone maps on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources website. Make sure you read and know the regulations thoroughly. As for setting decoys, longlines will be the best way to go when hunting deeper water. I have doctari longlines and love them. Sea ducks arent super weary of boats and a cheap way to make decoys is to spray paint old mallard decoys black. They will work just fine.
4 lbs. goose breasts, ground 1 ½ lbs. bacon, finely diced 2 Tbsp. salt 1 Tbsp. ground black pepper 1 Tbsp. dried sage 1 Tbsp. ground cumin 1 Tbsp. paprika 1 Tbsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional) ½ cup very cold water Bring all of it up and add everything in and make patties for breakfast sandwiches. It’s the Manitoba McHonker Recipe

Trim the meat, marinate in soy for 2hours. jalapeno cut in half, cream cheese, topped with duck breast, wrap in bacon, top with honey bbq. cook 400, 20 minutes.....BAM!
Great Video. I love how you are doing your research and not wasting the bounty of the bay. Well done!
