Thanks for the video. I just redid the heater core on my 2004 this last weekend and your video was one of the ones I checked out prior for some tips. Generally, it's not a fun job, but it's not as bad as some of the other videos make it out to be. For me, the worst part was the lower stud on the firewall side right behind the engine. On the 4.0L six there isn't much room between the engine and the stud to access, and that stud started spinning in the plastic on the other side. Overall I was about 5-1/2 hrs total and that was probably 45 minutes of it!
While I had it out I decided to do the heater blower and resistor for the ~$100 in parts. I know those can be done while in the Jeep, but I figured the resistor had already started to fail (I was down to the two highest speeds) and it was easier to change the blower when out.
Thanks again for your time in putting this together.
    Mark

No problem. I usually don't do "mechanic" type videos as I typically take shortcuts and don't do things how a professional would do them, but figured I would just document some of my observations on this particular work. It sucks, but overall it wasn't very difficult. I think my biggest annoyance was actually that I had to do this outside in the cold.

Thanks for the video my evaporators actually bad I'm having my mechanic do it thinking maybe I should change the heater core too while it's all Off. Anyway now I can justify how expensive it is to have it done and honestly I think he's giving me a pretty fair deal.

If you're already getting the dash torn apart, it probably does make sense to also do the heater core. Looking back on mine, I probably should have replaced the evaporator while I was doing the heater core but I don't really use the AC all that much so wasn't a huge deal for me if it eventually fails.
