  • Traded in some of my Arri Tungsten fresnels for this Forza 500. I’m not completely done with tungsten bulbs by any means but as far week to week, day to day projects this light is a lot more powerful, I don’t have to wait after shoots for it to cool down, it’s just an all around work horse.
Being able to place a lamp outside is a big help with just saving space all together. Placing lamps inside and bouncing is now an option with the output of this light. I often find my self in situations when shooting films, in smaller spaces when I want a bigger keylight but can’t fit a big enough light into a room, bouncing into a wall where I want a light to be is a great solution to have in the back pocket.
I also love being able to utilize my favorite way to get a soft light shooting through a Softbox and then through a diffusion frame. This light packs that punch I’ve always wanted. Can’t wait to show you guys some projects using this light. Now I’m eyeing down some 300d’s or similar lights that give the same output and I think that’ll round out my package pretty well.
