Pretty basic sounds, but it is a cool little sampling synth, and the envelopes are fun. I would love to see somebody make an advanced version of this with like OP-1 vibes. Crazy what a rare color can do to price tags tho, that's scarcity for ya. I have the black one too, that only cost $100ish ;D There's a market for everything ;O
I collect these little " table hooters " and never knew this. Where can I get more info ? P.S. I have a MT-41 and i've just named it the alien grey sleng teng.
My first sampler was the black version of this. Got it in 1986. At my parents somewhere. Also got the next one where you can save 4 samples and there are little drum style pads
@@AirArtStudiosOfficial It was an amazing thing to have back then when it was brand new in 1986. I really wanted a sampler and thought there was no way I would ever have one and then this little cheap thing came out. I was a big fan of the band The Residents. They had a Emu sampler at the time and where touring with it. I was amazed at what they could do with two samplers and the guitarist. I really wanted to do stuff with loops of found sound and this keyboard was perfect for it. The next step up sampler by Casio was a little bit better being able to save four sounds. If I remember correctly this one would lose the sample once you turned it off
@@MarkFavro yes it had no real memory! Like you say for the time it was so ahead of the curve. Got a job and bought an AkaiS3000 and still producing music 32 years later :)
Nice demo Jade and the colors look sweet! might try to paint my old radioshack concertmate version (Sk-1 clone), could be a fun project. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love that little synth! I had the regular black version, got it the year it came out...just gave away my age lol! I had a few casios, but never kept them and really wishing I had. Great videos!
Wow, the Sk 1 in pink looks so pretty, dosen't know about this, but its JAde... (-: Got a Casio SK 5 for ~120€ yesterday, so i can sampling a sampled sample... with the SK1

Got the black one...and made it with new functions....first sampler...30+ years in the past...still. IT brings a smile....
I love my Casio sk-1 to death. Couldn’t imagine spending two grand on one haha. That’s how much I got my prophet 6 for 😂
Lol yeah, people are crazy! Supply and demand tho 👀
@@JAdeWii_ haha for real
You can really hear the color variant difference shine thru in the "human voice" setting 😜🤣
I like the tones, I think it would pair well with that vst called "snes" verb

I had one as a little kid. It was like having a rocket ship! I composed so many songs on it. I loaned it to a relative and never saw it again, sadly.

2:00 Wow that vibrato is so drunk, really interesting portamento sound

Ouwa Casio Sk-1
Is there a 32 or 37 keys vintage Casio keyboard with a sustain pedal input option?
I bet this looks gray to most people with deuteranomaly. It does to me.
that would be money not so well spent lol
I hope this Unicorn keyboard sparks joy for you.
It did while it was here, I just have the black one now. Not as pretty to look at but still dope :D
I have the sk-5 and it’s great I wish someone would make an updated Yamaha Vss-30 now that would be swell
that keyboard is $999 on reverb today?
Nice.
$2000? Smh
Am I colorblind? I see blue not pink
lol it's kinda pale in the image, looks a bit pinker in real life but still not crazy pink
This keyboard costs 1000$ because it's from teenage engineering ;p
It's not pink? lol.
The moment you find out you're color blind. XD
jk it's faint but light cute pink
