    I prefer an R but would be completely happy with just the 350. Over time I would slowly upgrade my 350 closer to an R, starting with the rear seat delete, rolecage in rear (as is in that R) and more aggressive wing and wheels (as in deep dish and not black, probably silver). Both beautiful cars.

    Man, I'm so happy I got mine for what I did. 2016 Shelby GT350 Dark Grey with Black stripes. 10k miles for $52,000. Gotta say I like the lightning blue as well. Going to buy a Type R wing as well as resonator delete.

      The price for the gt350 compared to the R value is lesser due to the fact that the R is more lighter and faster than the normal Gt350. Right now you can find a gt350 for atleast around 30k or under that. I found one for 23k, but I'm still undecided on it. If I do get it will respect the tradition and will possibly remove the wing(because I'm not a hug of spoilers when it comes to muscle cars) and the carbon fiber rims because I know one day there will be incident that will scratch my rims and I will Have to pay a buck load just to fix them or get them replaced. I will also paint the car the same color and add the same stripes like the the blue Gt350 shown in this video.

    Coming out in '16, GT350 original pricing $49,995 with a $1300 tax addon, as for the GT350R pricing was $63,495. All pricing with preferable customizations of course due to change, but the markups are insane. And as said, suede is aka, Alcantara. Having been released as the spirited street car with racing acou'tre'mont's, Alcantara, especially on the dash is to reduce sun glare opposed to the plastic gleam while "racing". And that red "pinstripe" on the steering wheel is aka, dead center steering indicator also for "racing". Race cars have a yellow one usually but to each there own.

    Great video. Liked and subscribed. Some other differences include the calibration in the software correlating with the unique suspension and aerodynamics on the 350R. One of the many examples found in the MagneRide calibration of the GT350R details the smaller interior piston orifices inside the dampers of the “R.” The software is also precisely calibrated to reduce harmonic frequency of the carbon fiber wheels on the chassis compared to the standard GT350. The bushing durometers are also unique on the GT350R and respond differently to the “R” suspension components.There are more differences in the two cars than meets the eye. For those that think you can transform a 350 into an “R,” it’s more than just bolting on a larger front splitter, larger wing, and CF wheels.

      Bought a 19 350 about 3 months ago. Don’t daily it but when I do drive it I don’t have issues with scrapping it. Have speed bumps in my neighborhood and still no issues. I’m careful when driving it so I’m sure if you’re not paying attention or going hard into a crazy driveway you’ll bottom out. You can replace most of the parts and can also buy parts to help protect the front splitter.

    if you are going to make comments about the benefits of carbon wheels vs. aluminum wheels then take the tire off and weigh the f?

    • @TexasRevving
      @TexasRevving  6 років тому

      No i'm not going to take the tire off... And it's not an option upgrade, you have to get the R.

    • @nfareview
      @nfareview 6 років тому

      MartyGT3. All 4 wheels cost $16,000 (thats not a typo) and are made in Australia by a company Ford found and bought into. They have a NASA derived ceramic coating on the inside diameter of the front wheels to help with brake heat sink from the Brembos. They weigh 18lbs each and are painted to keep the carbon safe from the elements. The hubs are fitted with longer studs which is why the lug nuts look the way they do. The wheels alone are reason enough to go for the R, that and the MUCH lower annual production numbers of the R Chassis. If you buy a GT350 and plan to add the wheels later, you're doing it wrong.

      Those carbon rims I believe are a couple grand a pop at least. I dinged one of my rims on my ‘12 with the Brembo package. $1300 and change. For 1. Not even carbon.

      same exhaust but the R has a resonator delete, so it's slightly louder and more raspy

    It's like $1100 just to replace the rear tires on the R every 2k-3k miles or so 😮

  • @NovaScotiaNewfie
    @NovaScotiaNewfie 6 років тому

    Better make sure you have good local roads. I would hate to hit pot holes with either. That must drive owners mad.

    The engines are slightly different as well, The 350R is the engine with the flat plain crank as well as slightly different cams and internals. ua-cam.com/video/5c8cyR7CnwU/v-deo.html
