Not in big cities. They are introducing low emission zones. Internal combustion engines are being phased out rapidly.

@@July-A7 i agree with you but i also see it as manufacturers trying to get as much money whilst EV is popular and than ignoring once the gimmick is over it happens far to often lol

@@redargument3191 I suppose the attempt is to sell EV at these expensive prices. In time competition may lower the costs and hence better prices for consumers.
Thereafter though, when we are all confined to driving EV and have no other choice, the costs of batteries may rise due to insufficient resources and prices will rise again.
In my view, while it's good to develop EV technology and related charging infrastructure, ICE vehicles shouldn't be demonised and restricted . They are still the better cars to drive and we have all the gas stations and mechanics and parts for repair.
EV is new, let it grow naturally instead of artificial and unnecessary coercion.
