- I got an early preview of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure but accidentally got turned into a frog. What will happen to Dan? Will he be a frog forever? #MagicKingdom #SplashMountain #Disneyland

Dan as a frog is one of those things I didn’t know I needed till I saw it
I think outside of the imagineers who built the ride you might be the worlds foremost expert on Tiana's Bayou. I appreciate your balanced take on the ride.
Dan if you had just gotten Kenny to kiss you you could have been de-frogged earlier 😂😂😂 but actually getting Tiana to do it was so cute
God I still can't believe human animatronics can just... look like that, major props to the imagineers cause I'm sure making their movements so fluid couldn't have been easy. Also wow the dress Tiana is wearing at the end is absolutely stunning 🤩
Tiana's Bayou Splash is a more fitting name than Tiana's Bayou Adventure tbh.

I still think they opened this one a bit too early. And they could've solved most of these issues if they'd just given themselves more time to think it out. =\
I have an idea on the dead space put Naveen like hey Tiana over here I hear music this way maybe even Charlotte trying to help Tiana but stays behind also the hunters hunting for frogs as for the big drop Dr Facilier ghost / his shadow I will send you to the other side and then mama Odie is like don't worry I'll make sure you'll land safely but you might get wet and then you're at the party the end
Tianas bayou adventure is a great ride!i went on it and i loved it!
Regarding the Dead Space, I have HIGH HOPES for the Disneyland version. Would be pretty hard to have that problem with the length of the track and speed of the logs

You know, that actually sounds like a good idea. A ride themed around the Blues Brothers could provide some decent thrills, with all the car chases and crashes that happen in the movie, I could see something like that working at Universal.

What’s with the newer attractions stories basically being ‘let’s get to the party’… frozen ever after is exactly the same.
When they put that trench coat on Jessica Rabbit, that was them telling us that it's all gonna be weak sauce from then on out. :(

One of the main things i wish they included was Dr Facilier. he was a huge part of the movie so why wasnt he in there?
Because it’s set after the movie and he’s gone by then.
Disney considers Dr Facilier as well as mama odie culturally insensitive to the religion of voodoo... (not even kidding)
Princess and the Frog is already problematic to them.
That's why Mama Odie is not a voodoo queen in the ride, but a bayou fairy godmother.. (that's a thing now)
It will be interesting to see if we begin seeing less of the character, if at all around the park, or at halloween events moving forward. ... put a pin in that! :D

@Sirkalot Still doesn't make sense to me as to why Mama Odie gets to be on the ride and Dr. Facilier doesn't. They renamed her title to avoid controversy and HE ALREADY HAS ANOTHER NAME: The Shadow Man!!! If they didn't want to go that route, they could have called him "The Evil Spirit", "The Man From/On the Other Side", or even just the "Bad Man"!
As for what @djarinridurr said, it's not like Disney hasn't resurrected villains (and heroes) multiple times before! There's even a belief going around due to how Disney constructed this that somehow Ray came back to life because his voice is so prominently featured in this ride! Dr. Facilier could just as easily have made some new deal with his "Friends" to try to come back and claim some souls!

I mean unless you find that via some sort of magic or what not you’ve assumed a form in which you don’t desire to inhabit. By then all means do everything in your power to change back to the lovable bearded chuckle buddy we all enjoy.

Oh wow, in my confession, I've never been on Splash Mountain, but I might check this one out, if I go back to the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL.
I’ve seen a ton of the media footage about Tiana’s and no one else but Dan had the vision and moxie to wear a frog poncho. 🥹🙌🏻🐸
Love that ending, However from what ive seen i am very mixed about this ride. Maybe once i ride this ill have a better feel but until then im torn.. between liking this and thinking this is just eh Or i love the look of the ride but miss what was there before it OR it feels like its missing something, like abit of Ghost Facilier and friends on the other side or something. Either way i am ABSOLUTELY thrilled for those who love it.

We love ya, Dan, & if ya ask me, I think it's time everyone named Bob to be Moving Along from Disney. We gotta get this park back to the way it was in 2009. When it's cheaper to go to Tokyo Disney, there's a problem.

I'd choose this over the original Splash Mountain any day. I know the story isn't obvious but if you know ahead of time, it's all good.
But I do agree with the dead space. It's not too late to tweek the ride and remove most, if not all the dead space.

I’m a little confused why a ride needs a conflict? 😅 I want to see cool robots of my fav characters have fun to my favorite Disney songs. This ride delivers on that perfectly although I’d love a smidge more Naveen 😂

I was going to watch your video until there was a 2:22 long Best Buy advert that was not able to be skipped.
I'm holding out for the Disneyland version putting MK's to shame and maybe even have Tiana and Naveen together in a boat as in concept art. The tears of Disney Worlders constantly complaining that they always get the short end of the stick compared to Disneyland give me life! 😂 Disneyland forever!
it doesn't need a conflict or a story, average will do. it's just a log flume. People have high expectations, and shouldn't.
What an absolutely awful take, when it’s a log flume in a park that costs an absolute arm and leg to get into, having high expectations is always going to be a thing.

@@Sirkalotthat’s not really what Dan says tho, he agrees with the major complains about the ride, about the story being weak, the deadspace, and at the animatronics being janky and not as alive as before, he says a flume ride it’s fun cause it is, but he doesn’t say that it doesn’t need a conflict or mention anything about expectations so don’t put words in Dan’s mouth

and no he never said he agreed with the complaint about deadspace he says "i have a hard time disagreeing with the complaint." thats a mental gymnastics amount of effort to say "i agree".... then he mention pirates also has dead space, implying none of it matters. the whole thing is just very insincere. Also very disappointing as a long time sub who's always enjoyed the content!
i can also stand by the paraphrasing of the video i got out of it, which is it doesn't need a conflict or story, average will do. people shouldn't have high expectations because Disney isn't being held to standards it should be held too any more. People keep buying tickets, so everyones happy. (Until competition arises. And even then, the consumer wins. )
I think Imaginaires hit a home run with this ride it just looks incredible with great animatronics a catchy musical score in the animatronics look so impressive I can’t say it’s as good as the original splash mountain But I still think it’s a warranty replacement
