Thanks for the video. I am playing a hybrid of advanced/super advanced Strat doing a complete 1969 season. I am always looking to get more super advanced rules into my games, so this video was great.
...and THIS one, BELONGS TO THE REDS ! ......... That was a great game there at the end. Great finish. Nice to see a very detailed playthrough of Super-Advanced Strat. Thanks guys for posting.
I am watching this and it's super helpful. I currently play advanced and want to step up to super advanced. I also had some help from friendly Atrat players from a Facebook group. I really appreciate you doing this. Thanks
I believe on Frank Robinsons steal if he is held on its -2 so + 1 for the catcher and pitcher adjustment -2 for the hold is 1-14 , so when you rolled a 15 he is out
I’ve never even noticed the underline there until you mentioned it. But looking at rule 15.2, looks like it’s a non-issue unless you are playing two teams vs each other from vastly different seasons. If playing 2 teams in the same set, it says to ignore the lines.
i dont mean to correct you, but in the top of the 2nd inning, you have clendenon on 1rst. you are explaining the steal rating. clendenon is a 15, nuxhall is a minus 4 and edwards arm is a zero. clendenon is a c stealer. you mentioned that you would take his lead of 15 and minus off nuxhalls minus 4 and edwards zero making him an 11 or better to swipe the base. However, as a c stealer, you must also minus off 3 in addition to the minus 4 on nuxhall making his success rating an 8. it works this way. a aaa is minus 1 on a hold. a aa and a are minus 2. a b and c are minus 3 and a d and e are minus 4 before we even factor in the pitchers hold and catchers arm.
Super advanced rules don’t use the letters. You take the battery of the pitcher and catcher together (max +5 or -5) and deduct it from the first steal number in parentheses. If that runner is held, then deduct another 2 from that. If the runner gets the lead, that’s what he is running against. If he does not get the good lead, he runs off the back number in parentheses and that additional -2 for the hold becomes a -4. The stealing letters never come into play in SADV rules. Check out 23.1 in the rulebook. It should spell it out pretty well.
Do you have any information on joining an online league like this? I've gotten into Strat o matic playing with a buddy. Would love to play more though.
If you check out the Strat Facebook and Reddit pages, eventually people post looking for people for league openings. I know I do. Also, here is a new Discord server for Strat as well. discord.gg/29GEEXgQ
Sorry it didn’t help you. It was my first time playing a game, recording the game, and explaining a game all at the same time. It definitely could have been smoother, so I can understand your frustration if you checked it out wanting a fast explanation of the rules. This video was meant to tackle the rules as they came up naturally during the game and to be more conversational as I played a game with my opponent. As far as your other comment, which dice roll took a 20 minute explanation? I genuinely don’t recall. I wouldn’t want to watch a 20 minute explanation of a single dice roll either.
Just found your channel. Great rules explanations. You had excellent rolls as they resulted in a lot of special circumstances.
Thank you very much. I’m glad you liked it.
Great job guys. Loved the explanations and your patience with those who need them. Kudos.
Thanks!

Great Game!
Thanks for the video and explanation of the rules as you. I found it helpful if others don’t no one is forcing them to watch.
Good to hear. Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Really great I learned a lot about super advaced rules I have played mostly with just the advanced rules. Thanks for doing this teaching video.

I’m so glad you found this helpful. SADV rules really open the game up to lots of possibilities. Enjoy!
Great video. I learned a lot.
Is there anyway of getting a pdf of the score card you’re using? Thanx

You’re 100% correct. A mistake in the moment. Thanks for pointing that out.
I appreciate your video. I just started to play some 64 SADV.
That’s great! I hope it helped you out.
how do you deal with the underscore line under the gba on the pitchers card?

@@forktie Thank you.

Further on, this is a very hard vid to watch..Why take 20 minutes to explain 1 die roll
Didn’t happen!
