The last Monologue "If Chelsea was at the top playing city 2nd and Liverpool at bottom playing united 2nd from bottom, which is the biggest game it's Lfc vs utd" This whole documentary gave me chills.
To be honest even if we were both in any of the lower divisions we’d still be one the biggest games in Europe because of the history of the two clubs and the reputation
Even as a Liverpool fan... I have no choice but to respect man utd for what they have done as a club and pulling through their darkest hour in Munich 1958....Man utd have hit a difficult transition period like Liverpool have over the years.. But times and eras change..
After Munich, the first team to come to United's aid was Liverpool, offering players and everything else that was needed. After Hillsborough, the first person to call Kenny Dalglish was Sir Alex Ferguson, offering United's and his personal help in whatever was needed. Rivalry on the pitch, respect on and off the pitch. Working class knows working class.
I remember how difficult it was being a Liverpool fan from 2007... Chelsea, Arsenal and united fans usually made fun of me saying i support "Loserpool" Like they usually term it. Now the table has turned... They avoid arguing with me now... Best time to be alive. YNWA

Last year I was living in Malaysia for a while and my appartment was facing a district with open air restaurants that were running 24/7. Some days, at around 2AM, I heard shouting and cheering. It wasn't until one night I decided to go for a midnight snack, that I realized they were all massively supporting Liverpool. Every time there was a match, the restaurants would be filled and everyone's attention was at the screens. Bizarre how the fanbase has grown over the years and how all eyes follow the premier league in general
Lots of Malaysian in the past (60s, 70s) ended up in Kirkby for teaching English bachelor degree and Mersey dock working as dock workers hence being absorbed in the magic of Liverpool FC then. Sure enough, it was passed down to next generations then until recent time. The magic dwindling down at some point but never flamed out.

You, Manchester United, are the only ones allowed to do that but you're going to have to beat the hell outta us for 90 minutes in order to do so!" Nevermind that we've often beat the hell outta them over the years as well. Its' the kind of rivalry that transcends sport, transcends life....it is THE RIVALRY.
28:15 - 29:10 sums up the documentary about this rivalry. No other video that explains rivalry better. Recommended to the passionate fans from both clubs
I'm born and raised in Manchester but supported Liverpool my whole life. Its an unusual situation to be in but its great. All my friends hate me of course.
Both great clubs, success comes down to who has the best manager. Utd had Busby and Fergie, Liverpool had Shankly, Paisley and now Klopp. I’d love Klopp to stay for a long long time but I know he won’t, he’s not that type of person and I just hope that Liverpool have a plan in place so that the club doesn’t go backwards once he leaves
Thank god for the subtitles! Otherwise I would struggle to understand everything. Not making fun or anything like that but english is my 3rd language so it's not so easy for me to keep up with these kinds of accents :)
As a Liverpool fan growing up in Manchester was fantastic I saw Liverpool dominate an then saw utd dominate but Liverpool will always have my heart YNWA ❤
28:15 Manchester United Vs Liverpool , always will be one of the biggest rivalries in the game, even though united are terrible atm ( united fan btw) but liverpool were terrible ten years ago aswell, when liverpool dominate united fall, when united dominate liverpool fall, hopefully one day we can see these two rivals battle for the title! GGMU and respect to liverpool for sharing this!
Great documentary , rich history between the clubs that all the money at City & Chelsea could never replace. Two great international brands that will continue through generations.
I've watched these 2 teams for nearly 40 years, (the best years), and the only team I ever worry about losing to, are the Mancs. Total respect to them. The rest will have to spend trillions to win what we have both won in the past. Let's have a good fair game, with loads of goals.
Watched this a millions times, as a fan from Cape Town, I really really appreciate this. My big brother spent 4 years from 2002-2006 (he saw the Gerrard screamer against Olympiakos) in Liverpool and to this day he still wants me to go and experience this religion. Thanks for this, it's really made Liverpool Football Club mean even more to me. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE

As a Manchester United fan from Bangalore, who have equally passionate LFC fans as friends. It's so true, what was mentioned in the last part this rivalry has truly reached a global scale. And is such a joy to watch. Excited for tomorrow's game, when United for first time since Fergie heads to Liverpool at top of the table, and Liverpool are unbeaten at home for nearly 3 years.
My generation now have even better stories to tell! This is an amazing time to be a Liverpool fan! And I have a soft spot for United for all these years of history and rivalry. Thanks for the entertaining show!
From a Man U fan, this is a spot on, fair and unbiased documentary by LFC. Respect to them for that. As far as i'm concerned, leave the football to settle the differences, not the fans.
The US established it's first overseas embassy in Liverpool. The city was known as the New York of Europe and was known as the second city of the Empire.

@@banger2998 Obviously Yes. We were the Gods of the 70s and 80s. Bagging in the league titles year in, year out before it all turned around. Any club can see a downfall, due to so many factors.
I'm a Liverpool fan born between these two great cities with family from Liverpool and having lived in Manchester while at Uni. No matter the rivalry we have more in common than we care to share and I this game is without the biggest in English football because of what it means to both fans. This documentary perfectly captured what this means to both fans, the banter, the passion and more than anything the love for their respective cities. I live in the U.S.A. now but every time I visit home I visit both cities because I have an affinity with both because that's were my life-long friends are, Scousers and Mancs alike!
I am a red Manc and moved to Texas years ago, a few years back I was playing football with a group of lads I have played with for years when a new lad showed up and joined in, after a few minutes I realised the lad was a scouser by his accent but I still asked him where he was from and when he answered "I am from Liverpool mate" I answered "well in that in that case give me a second mate while I go and hide my car keys", we both burst out laughing and have been best mates ever since!
where from? Liverpool is like any northern British seaside town just a little bigger nothing really impressive there, unless you like residential estates and cosby beach, which is like any northern British beach, windy and cold, if your from a foreign country them maybe i could see why you would want to move there but if you live in England then i dont see the point.
I’ve been a Liverpool supporter since I really got into football when I was about 12/13 but even before I was proper interested. I always had to say I was a Liverpool fan because my dad was. I’m born and raised in Norwich. Then I really started getting into music and am currently attending a Music college in Manchester because that’s where all my heroes are from. You know, Oasis, Stone Roses, Smiths, Joy Division, The Verve (it’s near enough before anyone corrects me) so all I’ll say Is I love the culture of the north west and it’s always been a part of my life despite originally coming from 200 miles away. I love them both and have massive respect for each. My skin is Liverpool My heart is Manchester. Come on the Mighty Reds.
Glad this came up in my recommended a few days before the big game on sunday, we’ve not been in form as of our past PL games so with united above us this is the game for us to get back on track. I absolutely loved it! I've had Liverpool in my heart since the mid 70's. I've never hated United or their fans. My best mate supports them and my in laws are from Manchester so there's friendly banter but it never gets too serious despite my love for our Reds. I'm sure living locally would have a different feel but I'm certain I would still feel the same. I love the rivalry(not any hatred) for sure and whilst I even admired their football(love the beautiful game) through the Premier League era of course I didn't want them to win, keep on winning grrrrrr when will it stop. I have seen so much over the years but can't recall as being excited and hopeful as I am now since Klopp arrived. Hopefully a few more years of winning, singing our songs, Klopp hugs and enjoying being a part of this amazing Red family. YNWA!
Arsenal fan here, great documentary between two of the worlds best teams. I was always envious of the Liverpool and Man United teams of the mid to late 2000s, watching them compete in and win European championships while the gunners got so close in 2006. Such a fun time for football fans back then, before City got all their oil money and ruined the premiership

I fucking love Liverpool w all my heart and when a fucking kid on internet tells me to support a club in here I must tell him to **** off. It's more than Football, you know? UP THE REDS!
I wish liverpool and united battled for the title not city.
But Utd are very bad nowadays.
Get rid of your the American owner first ... or else soon man United going to play in Division one .
I’m your Daddy sure
Ramy GD for your information mate , the man United channel “football terrace” are suggesting a full boycott on man United ticketing sales , merchandise and other related , this way could force the Man United board to exit quick .
I’m a united fan and the stage we are at now it’s ridiculous now we barely spend any money to buy decent midfielders or forwards
United fan but what a great documentary, we need more of these. Well done.
Man United fan here and damn. Thought I was jealous enough over your team, now Im jealous over your UA-cam channel.
Funny how we hate each other so much but in reality we are literally the exact same city with different accents
yeah ever since i moved out of the north west i've realised both cities are pretty much the exact same
I wonder if Manchester has the same anti-England sentiment that Merseyside does, and a bruised local economy. I'm assuming not.
Mancs and scousers get on it's because we're cheeky bastards who look for a rise out of people
@@sarnobat2000 pretty sure it was a joke but ok
Yeah, but its a Worthy Opponent kind of hate, where you say to them, "You're the only ones allowed to beat us. Not Everton, not Arsenal, not Spurs or Chelsea or that other Manchester club.
Yes Absolutely,
True words never spoken so freely. 😊❤
I'm born and raised in Manchester but supported Liverpool my whole life. Its an unusual situation to be in but its great.
All my friends hate me of course.
What’s the result?
Like: Liverpool

Let’s be honest united aren’t gonna win 😂
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I love this
Watch United win LMAO
Not a hater but it would be kinda funny lmao tbh. Im gonna screenshot this comment just in case.
Honestly, I'm a United fan, and it kills me to say this, but I have to agree with you.
@Adam That's not how it works buddy xD
Its always scousers and mancs.
Best teams mate
@@Dan-cx4cp liverpool, man united not
It's only Scousers and Mancs
@Vishal we won it 18 times, this year 19
@Vishal well, you won to leagues more than us, but weve won 3 ucls more than your shitty team
I thought this was a remarkably objective and informative piece, despite being produced by LFC. well done.
Respect Liverpool for this documentary, this is coming from a United fan❤️
Nice one 👍
Both great clubs, success comes down to who has the best manager. Utd had Busby and Fergie, Liverpool had Shankly, Paisley and now Klopp. I’d love Klopp to stay for a long long time but I know he won’t, he’s not that type of person and I just hope that Liverpool have a plan in place so that the club doesn’t go backwards once he leaves
Haven't you heard of Gerrard?
Yes Absolutely,
I think klopp is gonna stay for another few years
@@edmundpower1250 Houllier 🔴

Thank god for the subtitles! Otherwise I would struggle to understand everything. Not making fun or anything like that but english is my 3rd language so it's not so easy for me to keep up with these kinds of accents :)
Funny….I'm from Denmark and I understand every little word of this.
Ant there is it, your wish came true
Great documentary , rich history between the clubs that all the money at City & Chelsea could never replace. Two great international brands that will continue through generations.
Still the biggest premier league rivalry. Long may it continue.
I've watched these 2 teams for nearly 40 years, (the best years), and the only team I ever worry about losing to, are the Mancs. Total respect to them. The rest will have to spend trillions to win what we have both won in the past. Let's have a good fair game, with loads of goals.
I from Poland🇵🇱.
I love Liverpool❤.
20:00 Spot on. Couldn't agree more.
wow .. this is a rarity .. Good to see both Und V Liverpool You Tube bloggers fans here showing a little respect to one another from watching this video .. Guess makes me think the day Germany and England soldiers playing football with one another and exchanging cigarettes and chocolates in WW1 on Christmas Day .. but day after back to killing each other . Good to cherish these rare moments lol
Yes Absolutely,
One of the best rivalries in the world. You gotta love it
Im a Liverpool fan , and this was the best and truly honest documentary on the subject. I can't find anything to disagree with. Educational and moving. Can't believe I hadn't seen this before now. Well done lads. YNWA
Wonderful documentary. Really liked the honesty and humility in the presentation. Probably best thing ive seen on lfctv in a decade 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Wow that was touching. I loved every minute of this. Thank you LFC TV. From a proud Man Utd fan. 👌🏽
I enjoyed that, well made and put together minidoc!
Alisson in, De Gea out
Keita in, Pogba out
Laws of chemistry work everywhere 😂😂😂
*Keita

Keita? where did you get that news? I bloody hope Keita starts showing his skills but i feel he will need a few games before hes up to speed this season... Unleash the Keita! this united side are not even a match for Leicester

Man Utd fan here; Thanks for this, Liverpool FC. Guess its true what you guys say, we may be the biggest rivals in England, but "you'll never walk alone"
Liverpool fan for just over 30yrs.. from Old Trafford 🤘🏽😉
Haha is right 😉
really?
Fantastic
I'm an united fan and what a documentary . I hope this rivalry will keep.on growing form generations to come
"Football have a cycle" Some of those Utd fans were carried away by the Fergie era, forgotten nothing lasts forever.
I can remeber uniteds first prem title, and can recall saying don't get use to it we'll be back soon. I was about 14then and have gotten old waiting. 🤞
Nothing last forever the same can be said about Liverpool current success
@@banger2998 Obviously Yes. We were the Gods of the 70s and 80s. Bagging in the league titles year in, year out before it all turned around. Imagine after our last league title, and someone says "Liverpool won't win this league for another 29 years" everyone will be like "common you are on drugs". That is football for you. Any club can see a downfall, due to so many factors.
Abiola Odejayi Spurs is the only of the big 6 who haven’t had their time lol
@@banger2998 they may be the ones that haven't had their time, but none other than Liverpool and United have had long periods of dominance.
I want to move to Liverpool and this video has put the seal on it.
where from? Liverpool is like any northern British seaside town just a little bigger nothing really impressive there, unless you like residential estates and cosby beach, which is like any northern British beach, windy and cold, if your from a foreign country them maybe i could see why you would want to move there but if you live in England then i dont see the point.
jabertcul 123 very poor opinion
@@baconbackstabber101 well i lived in liverpool for a long while so its my opinion, its not bad but nothing special.

From Ireland. But I'm a life long Liverpool fan. Love how passionate the fans are and want to be a part of it.
My skin is Liverpool
My heart is Manchester.
Come on the Mighty Reds.
Glad this came up in my recommended a few days before the big game on sunday, we’ve not been in form as of our past PL games so with united above us this is the game for us to get back on track. I love this club, this documentary gave me chills. Lets get the win lads and retain the title this year. YNWA
Greatness! Headed to my first match at Anfield, with my son. Liverpool v Man United! Can’t wait!
Hope we smash em for you and the lad. 4-0 YNWA
Here, a Kenyan supporting LFC... thank you for the informative documentary telling how it all started...
u can buy players, managers or even trophies. but u cannot buy history. u'll never walk alone

man city before the takeover was one of the biggest clubs in England and had one of the biggest fanbases in England
man city before the takeover won more trophies than Newcastle nottingham forest blackburn Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield United Bolton notts county leeds derby and west ham1
1man city before the takeovers had great players such as matt busby don revie frank swift bert trautmann colin bell peter Docherty mike summerbee billy meredith tommy johnson and eric brooks
shaun Wright Phillips robbie fowler steve macmanaman andy cole peter schmeichel and nicolas anelka were also at the club in the 2000s
Always great to look back at the history that created the mighty Liverpool
One of the best documentaries on the two cities and the two clubs out there. Find myself having a little look at it whenever the game's around the corner.
As a United fan, much respect to Liverpool FC. Great documentary, Liverpool will always be the greatest rival to Manchester United!
From a Man United fan, this is a brilliantly produced objective doccie. Class by Liverpool, may the best team win.
These are the kind of football videos I want to watch! Keep it coming.
This gave me goosebumps, more in common than we would ever admit
Top Top documentary by LFC...just respect for this work...coming from Man United fan... ☺️
YNWA!
very good words, congratulations you think so

Arsenal fan here, great documentary between two of the worlds best teams. I was always envious of the Liverpool and Man United teams of the mid to late 2000s, watching them compete in and win European championships while the gunners got so close in 2006. Such a fun time for football fans back then, before City got all their oil money and ruined the premiership
Two of England's greatest clubs a superb documentary, the history of these clubs are unrivalled.
Great documentary. As a Liverpool fan living in Manchester, the difference are obvious but the similarities are even clearer.
