Love this. So true and helpful. I am not sure I fully agree that an MMF would be better to a sacco as a place to park money when it comes to returns. I use the sacco as my retirement fund. Interest rates, over the last 15 years, have been between 10 to 12%. MMF's go as 5%. Now the money is indeed not as easily accesible which for me is part of the appeal of the SACCO. What do you say?
I thank God my Sacco accepts title deeds and log books even if at a certain percentage. I don't trust even my close friends as guarantors . Most will want to follow up/know what the money is for.

@@tumuhairweolive8970 - No. The only wy out was to leave the sacco. I learnt my lesson and now I do MMF. However the upside is that whenever I need a loan, I can always get against my shares. But I have slowed down on sacco and now building my MMF and other investments.

Hey !Susan l was a member of a certain sacco l lost all my shares ,l have not received dividend for five years.The sacco is still running but whenever l go there they tell me hakuna pesa .so l hate saccos with all my heart. I will never join a sacco again.
