This was honestly the most inspiring video I have seen in my life. I don’t really watch motivational videos because they don’t have any influence towards my struggles or my experiences. But your story about sparring with depression hits the heart as I struggled with that for years. Even now, there are points in my life where I feel like I’m at my lowest.
But the most beautiful part about this story was that your passion and love for juggling kept you going! You found happiness with what you love to do, even when life hits you hard.
You are the most passionate and positive person I know Taylor! Keep killing it, keep pursuing the passion, and remember, no matter if it’s one person who views your material or a Million, it’s ultimately your happiness in showcasing that love that is most important! ❤️

I started juggling half a year ago when I was 37, just to see if I could make it. And yes, seeing all the small changes over time is amazing, it really helps with depression to push yourself until it finally works. At the beginning I didn't believe I could do it, but in small steps it gets better and better, it's a fascinating progress until it finally works.
And also yes, seeing amazing juggler like you is just as inspiring as frightening, I probably will never be as good as you are 😀

Being brave enough to even post this video is why you are absolutely amazing. To be honest I started juggling with balls a few years ago, and stopped for a long time.and found some of your videos when I was surfing the web and depressed, they made me want to juggle again, now if those clubs would just work with me instead of hitting me in the face....but seriously you are an absolutely amazing human being, keep being you.

I started juggling at 14, and I have no friends either. I'm about to turn 17 this december. I was diagnosed with severe ptsd and depression. My father mentally and verbally abused me until I was 7. So I understand the joy that juggling can bring.

I started juggling four years ago at the age of 60 because I had heard that neuroplasticity had revolutionized the treatment of stroke victims. Even though I have not had a stroke I wanted to know if I could rewire my brain from that of a non-juggler's brain to a juggler's brain, and the answer is, I could. I also learnt a valuable less about life, and that is, that failure is a necessary pathway to success. You can't succeed a juggling unless you allow yourself to fail at it first. I also appreciate the mindfulness of juggling and the potential for achieving a state of flow if you really get into it.

This is amazing! Thank you for sharing it.
I totally love your tutorials, they make something super hard into little steps that are manageable. It makes so much sense to teach it like that but I've never seen anyone else do that, at least not as clearly and as fun as yours.
I can really relate to the mental health side and why it's been helpful. I have two jobs and a kid, and can sometimes feel overwhelmed. spending a bit of time most days juggling is grounding, fun, feels like I'm getting good at something. puts a bit of joy in my day. oddly makes me feel like I can dance more too haha, feel like I just get more comfortable.
So thanks so much for sharing this, and for all your videos. Really has made a difference for me and I'm sure lots of others too

I had once that problem of comparing my self to other mates in my art: magic; I was very crumbled with my self confidence in magic, my magic and so my life style. So i stopped either practicing or performing my art and that was basically healthy, just because it made me understand how much important magic was for me; It is my own escape, my own moment to create something and it tells me you can do something you can succeed on something; The best lesson magic gave and gives to me is: no matter how impossible or hard something is, by practicing continuesly wanting ,or even wishing it, you'll get it. Im telling all this because i've been very surprised to hear something so similar to my experience (ofc of what I had the opportunity to listen to).

Awesome video! Reminds me of when I joined the juggling club at university when I was a student. Someone wrote "SAD" on the club noticeboard in large letters. Someone else added to this so it then read: "SADness is alleviated by juggling". I've never forgotten seeing that, and that was in 1993! (camera phones weren't a thing then otherwise I would have taken a photo of it for posterity)
    Keep posting the marvellous videos!

But you are one of the best juggling-tutor-videographers I could possible imagine. Juggling has multi-dimensional effects on people (I know so now) and, along with it, so do you by teaching people how to juggle. You have taught me 3 and 4 balls, 3 clubs, the 5 now needs some more patience and practice and dwell time in my brain. Keep up your high standards.

I just started getting back into it (at 36). I learned with bean bags in the projection booth of a movie theater while working there. I've only ever been a casual juggler but decided (because of quarantine lol) I really want to improve. Busted the balls and clubs out last week while my daughter was playing outside.
I love the idea of videoing them, and might start doing that. I also am promising myself to juggle every day. So glad I discovered you last week when I was looking up some beginner tricks to work on. Keep up the good work! (Sorry this ended up being more long winded than I anticipated heh)

I've been juggling for years and you're way better than I am. I'd be well pleased if I could juggle like you. I stopped for about 15 years but recently bought a set of balls that I leave on my kitchen table and a try to pick them up at least once a day. It is very therapeutic 😊👍

Your "why" for juggling is my "why" for building cars, making things out of metal, designing electronics.. It's why I "make".. I don't have a lot of friends either, and never really have. Making, designing, engineering, keeps my mind off of idling and giving myself time to think about stuff that aids depression. It keeps me thinking, learning, and seeing my improvements over time and seeing new things to do with my skills is what keeps me wondering, problem solving, and in my own little world. It's not as cool as juggling, but it does the trick. Thank you for sharing, seriously. I appreciate your realness and courage to share this. You're an amazing person!!!

As someone who had chronic depression I can empathize with you and others who have or have had mental illnesses.
Juggling does help a lot in overcoming the brain damage caused due to depression and it was one of the primary reasons I picked up juggling about 2 months ago.
I would struggle with even basic tasks, memory and math. I would always be confused and kept forgetting things. It was a dreadful feeling and I was/am a quitter too.
Juggling builds up neurons and the feeling of having done and learnt something is amazing as it releases dopamine and is a huge motivator and confidence booster and helps a lot with treating depression.
I'm really grateful that you keeping posting such videos. I love them. Although I can only do the cascade, I'm trying to learn some basic tricks and I'm enjoying juggling more with every passing day.
I don't know if you'll be reading this. But if you do, I just want to thank you so much. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. Sorry for such a lenghty comment.

I loved this video! Ive seen a few tutorials but had no idea you were that good of a juggler. Those pins look fun.
I dont know if im depressed but im alone all day everyday and when i get burnt out on work i can become overwhelmingly bored and lonely. Ive taken up gymnastics - and im obsessed right now but being middle aged i can only work out on my rings effectively a few hours a week. I find juggling to be the perfect companion hobby. It keeps your mind connected to your body and builds your wrist/hand/finger dexterity. Plus its so fun!! Im a beginner but i can easily spend an hour or two juggling without even noticing the time.
Thanks for making this video! Im going to order some pins right now!

I find this video inspirational because it relates directly to me too. I learnt how to juggle three balls at a youth discovery camp when I was 19 and then I stopped. I stopped because of what Taylor was saying. I felt like I would never be as good as some of the other jugglers and I used to watch people juggling 4,5 and 6 balls and that is how I felt. I am not good enough. Then when covid hit 2 years ago I needed something to keep me active and sane since my gym was closed so I got out the juggling balls again. I started every day with 2 hours of juggling and over time I got better and better. But more than that, it fueled my confidence and made me feel good. Pretty soon I was up to juggling 5 balls. This was something that I never thought that I would be able to do and watching people like Taylor showed me that it was possible. So now I am working on 6, something I thought I would never do. Thanks Taylor :-)

I started to juggle 2 years ago when I was 30 years old. I myself also dealing with depression. My therapist recommended me to find new hobby or new thing to learn, so I picked juggling because I always wanted to learn that and skill toys(kendama, yoyo, begleri) is one of my past times hobby. It took 2 weeks for me to master simple 3 ball cascades coz I have health issues (double vision and heart problem) but I did it. I didn’t expect juggling can be very tiring but really fun. I know I’m slow in progress compare others but juggling do kinda help me distracting me, my mind from all the pain. My wish now to master 3 club juggling and all other 3 ball pattern juggling. Juggling is addictive. Oh yeah, I found your instagram and you really inspire me with your skill. Today I just found out you have youtube channel and I subscribe immediately.

I love your videos really helped me become better a juggling I learned to juggle when I was 10 then stoped for 16 years and have picked up from where I left off. never compare yourself with others for there will always be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Thank you Taylor for sharing. Inspiring video. I have come back to juggling as I have some issues and this (along with Tai Chi and music) is so therapeutic. Your videos are helping me to go from basic 3 ball to working on 4 ball and some simple tricks. You are a great juggler and a great communicator, I am sure many many people have been helped by your videos. ❤

Hey Taylor, Awesome video. I juggled as a kid (for similar reasons it would seem) and then gave it up as I got older. I have always loved it though and seeing your videos really inspired me to get back into it... This summer I have taken on the 5 ball challenge, the holy grail that I never accomplished earlier on and I am getting a little better every day!! I can almost juggle 5 balls now! Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow! This hit me hard! There are so many of these motivational videos out there of people who tell how they handle their depressions. But i could never really feel those people talking if you know what i mean. But this vid is different. And thats probably because i am a juggler too. I just could relate really good to that. Apart of that i am absolutely in awe that you actually managed to juggle everyday eventhough your depression is probably worse than mine. Still i dont think that i would be able to do that. And thats probably the thing: In juggling you found something that you absolutely love and that keeps pushing you. I dont have such a thing that i absolutely love and i dont know how to find that. Juggling is great n all but if doesnt meet those criteria for me. But anyways: Thank you for your video! It was great to watch, thank you!

For me you are an awesome person. I love your naturalness, happiness, female power, ambition and your love for juggling.
You taught me how to juggle on the beginner tutorial for clubs and balls and it worked great! Thank you a lot for all of your videos!
I enjoy watching them. I also understand you very well with what you said in this video. For me it is like..I never could stand a job in front of the computer in an office where I sit inside all day. That makes me sick and crazy over time. That's why I taught myself acrobatics and, with your help, how to juggle. Thats what I am good at and I love the training and getting better every day a little bit. I wish you all the best!

Yoooooo I just saw that you won that Flowtoys contest with this video, congratulations dude! To echo what everyone else is saying, this was a legitimately sweet, inspiring, soul baring video that you should be proud of. I really enjoyed it and the other videos I've seen of yours so far :) I just started juggling two weeks ago and this gives me a touch of inspiration to keep at it. Good luck at everything you're doing!

This hits the nail on the head. I use to juggle all the time and the fact that I learnt how to juggle everything to me. I wish I could come to the same enlightened view as you have.. You are a wonderful person and I hope you keep sharing your insights and amazing talents. Thanks

This was incredible to watch. I had no idea that you had such a journey, I thought you were just someone who loves juggling. I loved to hear about it and it was emotional and beautiful and inspiring all in one, so thank you for being unapologetically yourself. Would love to hear more from you and your journey, as well as more juggling! :D

Very vulnerable, thanks for posting. I'm definitely still stuck in the comparing yourself to others phase. I noticed I get more and more arrogant about my juggling the more insecure I feel as a person.
