Same here man. I was raised on sport bikes and didn’t see the point. Once I got all the “ride like a maniac” out of my system (aka grew up) I’ve found Harley’s are exactly what I’m after.
Almost bought the last 2019 Fat Boy 107 my dealer had left during Christmas. BUT! They had a 2019 Sport Glide for even cheaper, with 3 miles on it. Got it for the price of a regular Softail Lowrider! Standard cruise control, ABS, with bags and a baby fairing that come off in seconds....2 bikes in 1! Couldn't be happier!
I like that the wheels give an illusion of white walls. Also that the wheel finish carries over through the engine fins. Huge fan of the rocker box covers and gold accents. Just a phat mean dinosaur drinking machine 🤘🏻
Just bought 1705/2500 today. I thought I was going to get another Iron 883 but test rode several different bikes. By far, this one felt the best -- like it was designed for my body.
I have a 2018 FatBoy. Everyone always mentions how much harder it is to corner with the bigger tires. I've never noticed that. The first time I test rode it and up to now, it's easy to me.
I also have a 2018 with the 114. This bike handles great! Really sticks to the road and corners like a beast. Maybe they just weren't going fast enough into the corner? lol
People are lame and exaggerating it. I rode one at a demo event and it felt great. You very quickly get used to leaning it. And I'm used to riding Sportsters and Dynas.
I definitely think it's the smoothest Harley or any bike I've ridden but it is different in that respect. Not as bad as people make it sound -- just a little getting used to.
@C M You'll enjoy it just as much as I have. Had some ups and downs. However, I love the thrill that I get whenever I get on the bike. Nothing else like it.
Current 02 softail owner. If I was in market for a new Harley the Fat Boy would be my preference, but I need my chrome.Softail custom or deluxe would be second choice, but as I told one dealer the FORKS were too low and i wanted them raised 3 inches, but I was told it would void my warranty, so I didnt buy one. My 02 softail standard has chromed aluminum wheels and all the engine and primary chrome
hi bro.I am a Japanese who loves Harley! I have longed for Fatboy for a long time and finally bought this Fatboy! ! The serial number was 77/2500. I feel very very happy with a very good number.
ゆうたろう!!! Hey is that your FB in your avatar? Looks sick if it is. Can you post a video? Would love to see more as I’m thinking of getting a 30th anniversary myself
The 2020 Fat Boy is my next bike baby!!!!! I now have a Sportster that I will finish paying on in the next few months. After that, another down payment on the Fat Boy. I just graduated with a bachelor in Cyber Security and am studying for some certifications as well. So by next year I expect to move up in the IT world making way better money. Gotta live and enjoy life....especially the Harley-Davidson life!!! It's worth the money to me.
I just test rode one a few days ago and I'm convinced it's the bike for me. I got back on my sporty after and it was like going from a monster truck to a go-kart.
I bought the 2019 model.. and I really wish I knew this was coming out... I’d have waited for sure ... bike is perfect .. and yep there is a screen available...
Thanks for sharing this! Been really excited to see one! It's a really great looking bike. The sentiment on this is unanimous. I'm really considering this one.
I can be unbiased to those who are considering purchasing the Fat Boy. I had a 2019, 114. First the good, it looks great, stable on the road, and it’s a highly desirable model when it’s time to sell. Now the not so good, if your 5’11 or taller, your tailbone will go numb after 30 minutes of riding, so you’ll need to upgrade the seat. The headlight nacelle directs air directly into your chest, so highway riding is a pretty good workout. I thought the suspension was a little harsh over highway imperfections, it does take a little more effort to corner, and the solid wheels tend to catch a lot of crosswind on the highway. If you’re just looking to cruise around town it’s a fine bike, but if you are planning longer trips, you should look at a heritage, or maybe a Road King.
I like it more than the standard version . Personally I’d get a standard Electra glide and have a Zippers Performance sleeper kit installed. 150 ftlbs torque 130 hp .
I personally like the new Fatboy. Tire width is over eggagerated in my opinion. This one is "too" black. Lol. It needs some chrome here and there. JMO. Great vid as always.
LOL. You made my house rumble. I watch youtube on my 72" TV. With 7.1 surround sound. When you pulled up under the power lines... there must have been a super low frequency hum coming off those lines. That your mic was picking up! Because the second the Bike shut down, my subwoofers started going crazy. My kids said they could feel it in their beds! When your outtro music started it stopped. LOL 👍👍
Bought #1911 today! In Tennessee. They’ll deliver it in a few days and I can’t wait. Strange times we’re living in now, less in person contact buying is alien to me but it is what it is. Great channel you have here, keep it up!
I got the 2019 Fat Boy 114 in Grey Denim and gonna get most parts powdercoated in gloss black !! I think the 30th Anniversary FB is pretty nice but nothing really special over all its just a color change what I dislike the most is that they took the HD-Emblem’s on the sides of the gas tank and just put on stickers which is just a cheap thing to do especially on such a special Edition !!
I own a 2018 breakout and they share the rear tire (240) Ill never understand why people complain about not being able to turn it or lean into a turn but whatever. Fatboy its beautiful no windshield I love the bear naked look. Nice video Blockhead.
I couldn't agree more. I bought the new Breakout. Love the racy look and was worried b4 the test ride about the handling from the reviews. Waaaaay too much bad info. Can you tell it? Yes. Is it a big deal or a nuisance? NO!
PICKING UP MY BRAND NEW HD 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION FAT BOY TOMORROW AT MY LOCAL DEALER. (Harley Davidson OF DALLAS). DEALERSHIP WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. THE BIKE IS THE BADDEST THING ON TWO WHEELS. TO PURCHASE ONE OF THE LIMITED PRODUCTION RUN (2500) IS AWESOME. I THINK HD DID A GREAT JOB WITH THE PAINT AND LOOK TO THIS EDITION. NOT ALL DEALERS HAVE THIS IN STOCK. IF YOU ARE A HD FATBOY PERSON YOU SHOULD GET OUT TO A DEALER AND HAVE A LOOK.
I like this bike it was the model that caught my eyes when I was looking for replacement of my sportster. Finally I test rode and bought directly a sport glide. Awesome bike with cruise control , different looks possible and enough power to keep your driving license 🤘✌️
Heck yeah man. Love my Sport Glide. Only things I've changed so far are the bars, and added the klockwerks windscreen. Bars were a huge upgrade. Helped the posture for sure.
On this bike, I bought the Rogue Rider Industries LEDs you recommended in another video, with dark smoke lenses. Front and back...goes great on this bike, thanks Blockhead
I'm a huuuuge fan of the Fat Boy, and im getting a 2020 Fat Boy here this summer. But this one... I don't want. This bike needs the satin chrome exhaust, satin chrome rocker boxes, Chrome Pushrod Tubes, and skirts. and the chrome nacelle accent. IT'd cost so much to "Fix" this bike for me. Epic, but they missed the styling mark by a bit. I'll be getting a River Rock Grey or a Baraccuda Silver+Black Denim Fat Boy. I like those colors way better.
Fist Harley I test road was a fat boy.. And i was hooked...but..has to wait another 8 years before I bought my first Harley... 2014 street glide. I still want a fat boy at some point.
Have to give Harley two atta-boys. One for bringing back the Low Rider S and another for this blacked out Fat Boy. This is a beautiful bike! I like the touches of bronze they added. Block, you did a really good job of talking about the big tires / lean angle (or lack of) vs comfort / stability of ride. If I was to nit pick, my only real complaint would be …… in my opinion, I feel, if Harley puts a 114 in a bike, they should put dual discs on the front. Thanks for the ride / review. Good job. Once again, Beautiful Bike !!
I was just looking at my local HD dealers website and was thinking I'd trade-in my bike for the midnight blue one they have but your video of the anniversary model changed my mind. You're right...it's beautiful. Great video.
That bike is drop dead gorgeous, one of the best looking Harleys out there. I'm not going to get rid of my 2020 Lowrider S for it though as (apart from finances) it's still a Fatboy and really doesn't corner as well as I need, plus as a limited edition every dollar you spend on customizing is money off any resale value.
I just bought a low rider S a month ago if I would of known this blacked version of the fatboy was coming out I probably would of waited but still love my low rider and glad I made the purchase
Did they solve the summping issues ? How about the leaking of oil out from between the rocker boxes ? In '89 I bought a brand new Softail Custom, spent $8000 in motor work and chroming and the bike had essentially the same issues as the new ones. The Evo had a 3 piece rocker box configuration in which not only did oil leak from but the middle piece started to get flared out from the heating and cooling of the engine. Then I had engine oil leaking from my crankcase into my primary case. Ironically I worked with a guy who's brother was a designer for HD and he gave me the two top dogs in charge of customer service at the time. Long story short, the cases had to be replaced (due to a design flaw) and I lost one whole season of riding and to top it off, I had to pay for the work (not the new cases) to be performed. Here it is 30 years later and HD still doesn't have its shit together but yet would like for me to drop basically a house (or portion of) down-payment on a motorcycle that still has the same f¥¢k!ng issues as it did 30 years ago ? Please, tell me that they've straightened these issues out so 8 can either buy a new bike or put the money on another toy ! ...
Considering there’s only 2500 made of these, it makes no sense for a dealer to make this a demo bike? It’s not any different riding wise to a standard bike. Great video Blockhead!
Bike looks great, the exhaust looks a little funky. I have always installed at least replacement mufflers for a good and louder exhaust sound. But the position and look of the exhaust pipes on these bikes, calls for a complete exhaust replacement. After that, they should be just perfect.
Tell you what I think? I'll tell you what I think. I think I want one! Also when you said you're not a big fan of chromes, I was relieved. Thought I was the only one who doesn't like chromes.
I own a 2017 Fat Bob dyna model it also has the large tires.... For low speed manuevers it is cumbersome more cause the bike weighs like 700+ pounds as for turning and the like...I feel more confident on this then my Suzuki C50T I had....The fat bob tires are larger but I have scraped my pipes more on the Harley while the Suzuki made me nervous making a deeper angled turn.

To me that's the best looking fat boy Harley has made
bigbourgeois agree
This is what I ride and love it. No complaints 🖤
Start a blog on it!
I have the 2019 Fatboy 114. So far, I'm still amazed at the ride and performance.... I just put S&S exhaust on and I'm so happy....
I use to hate Harleys then decided to buy one, my God I was so wrong, they're incredible now I understand the obsession.
Dude: I’m torn do I buy this 30th anniversary as my first harley.? I don’t usually like them that much but this just seems......! Perfect.
@@snozzybosch7503 I've been struggling with the same question, haha

Dennis Morris Harley’s are by no means the best bike to buy or ride. But as a Harley owner there’s just something about them that hits home with me.
Nice try Harley Davidson
Just got #95/2500, traded up from a 883 iron. Love this bike
How much did it cost you total ?

I have number 877 30th anniversary fatboy! It's my first bike ever, and it is AMAZING! I do not have any issues with turning. This bike is BADASS!
Congratulations what was the out the door price ?
That is a gorgeous bike. Love the black with brass accents.

I just got a 2020 FatBoy… I absolutely love it, but then I saw this! I am jealous… this is stunning!
Absolute most favorite one in the lineup
The 2016 and 2017 Fatboy S is very similar all blacked out with the 110 twin cam but it came with a hydraulic clutch and cruise control

Fatboy is a nice bike! It was my second choice for my 1st Harley, instead I got a breakout 114.
To be honest, I'd rather buy a breakout, but they're discontinuing it, so yeah.
Iconic! I had a 2012 Anniversary Edition Fat Boy Lo and loved that bike!
When I think Fatboy I think big ole chrome everything and traditional look..... I see this thing and I’m in awe, I love it!!!
