There are probably a lot of videos already out there, but there is a lot of tug activity in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. Small tugs inland and on the lakes, but massively powerful boats for handling supertankers, military ships etc. I enjoy the European stuff and was really impressed with the Port of Rotterdam when I went there a few years ago. What an incredibly busy place, and the challenge of dealing with the river current. We have the Columbia River (and its notorious bar crossing), but the level of traffic doesn't approach Rotterdam.

Das Problem ist die Schifffahrt hat immer mit Problemen zu kämpfen Hochwasser, Niedrigwasser etc.!! Leider ist es so wenn ein Schiff nicht fährt verdient es kein Geld

Last picture. Fraser River in British Columbia. That's how they do it, and it was handled flawlessly by the crew. The "cabin cruiser" is a tug.
Thanks for the information, it just looks a bit strange because your tug looks like our yachts on the river . that would never be allowed here in Germany
@@kennyonelive Small tugs on the upper river, and much bigger tugs (like yours) on the lower sections. Really large and powerful tractor tugs in the harbors in Seattle, Tacoma, and Vancouver, BC.
You might find such videos of your tugs really interesting. I think that would interest many people in Europe

2016? Ist das schon wieder so lange her das sich der Kahn in Dresden verkeilt hat? Es kommt mir so vor als wäre es gestern gewesen. Der tschechische Feuerwehrbergepanzer war damals der Held der Arbeit.
Dieses Zusammenspiel mit Bergungspanzern, Schleppern und Schiff war echt Interessant und beeindruckend

und wirklich mal ein Sinnvoller Einsatz der Teile .. schade dass es sowas in Deutschland nicht gibt ... die werfen das geld lieber in unterirdische Bahnhöfe oder nicht fertig werdende Flughäfen .. die Feuerwehr muss gucken wie sie über die runden kommt ...

That's the kind of error someone hiring a boat on the river for the first time makes. And that's a training ship! 🤦 Perhaps one of the trainees was at the helm. Das Waren wohl Bergepanzer aus Tschechischen Zeiten, und die Feuerwehr hat sie für Ihre Zwecke Rot lackiert^^
Das sind in der Tat VT-72B der Tschechischen Feuerwehr. Da die havarierte Albis ein Tschechisches Schiff ist, war die Amtshilfe bei den Bergetrupps in Dresden wahrscheinlich einfacher.
2016 wohnte ich noch in Dresden und es war auf jeden Fall spektakulär, den Einsatz derartiger Technik einmal live beobachten zu können.
@@kermitthefr0g507 na jedenfalls sind die Teile mal Sinnvoll eingesetzt worden .. mich hat es nur gewundert weil so schön Rot lackiert werden die ja nicht nur für einen einsatz .. müssen also wirklich öfter mal gebraucht werden .. bei uns würde sowas aus diversen Gründen nie gehen .. denn die Feuerwehr hätte für eigene kein Geld .. und um bei der Bundeswehr Amtshilfe anzufordern, würde soviel Bürokratrie-zeit vergehen .. bis das genehmigt würde hätte sich der Rhein wahrscheinlich ein neues Bett gesucht ..
@@KalatSaar Ich glaube, die VT-72B hatten in diesem speziellen Fall vor allem eine Sicherungsfunktion: unterbinden, dass sich das Schiff wieder vor die Brücke legt, falls die Schlepptrosse der Beskydy bricht (ein interessantes historisches Schiff, btw.).
Von den Panzern dürfte es auch in Tschechien nur zwei Stück geben, so häufig wird man die Kolosse nicht brauchen. Ist ja auch mit großem Aufwand verbunden, die Einsatzmittel erstmal mit dem Schwertransport zum Einsatzort zu verlegen.
Ich weiß auch nicht, wie der Zivilschutz in der Tschechischen Republik organisiert ist, vielleicht gibt es dort kein Äquivalent zu unserem THW mit schwerem Bergungsgerät. So hat die Feuerwehr zwei alte Bergepanzer auf T-72-Basis, die zum Verschrotten zu schade waren, umlackiert und in eine friedliche Mission überführt. Ich glaube, die haben auch noch einen richtigen Löschpanzer auf T-55-Basis, für Vegetationsbrände.
Edit: Auf Deutschland übertragen, würde man die Feuerwehr wohl mit dem BPz3 Büffel ausstatten. Das dürfte dann hinsichtlich Anschaffung, Betrieb und Unterhalt nochmal ne ganz andere Hausnummer sein.
