Wow Yorkshire is lovely. The moors are so stunning with the heather all in bloom. Quite a few gates in this one, it was a tripple bill! I think our favourite was the last walk, the views were stunning - ok a little misty at times, but stunning. Great video. Have a great weekend. 🍻
Ah thank you guys and thanks for the advice re drone. Your last video was so on point, you covered the entire holiday in one HOLLYWOOD blockbuster day. Has our heads on a swivel as to how we will film holidays going forward, you guys have nailed it. Have an amazing weekend, and thanks for the lovely support at the premxx
Hi both, wow the prices you mentioned at the start were so expensive for a family apart from Scarborough Castle so its good to know of free places. Love the moors, need to visit, all of us would love this day out and you got gorgeous footage from the drone, the heather was so pretty. I loved the look of Hambleton Hills too and the free parking is great 😃 Englands finest view was lovely with the interesting monument there. Ribblehead viaduct was beautiful as you walked past it and with all of the amazing scenery around too, shame it was a bit cold near the end but all of this was gorgeous , Great photo of the viaduct at the end too. Have a good weekend 🙂👍~ Anna
Something so incredible about Viaducts, id never tire of looking at them! Family days out in Yorkshire can be really expensive with sea life centres and aquariums seemingly the most expensive places that seldom do family tie in deals. It’s getting harder and harder to find free parking in England especially with Forestry England making moves to charge for any spot near a tree anywhere in England this last year. the weather has been crazy this summer, not a day has gone by without experiencing all four seasons in one day. I’m wrapped up like an Eskimo at the moment but you can probably guarantee the sun will come out this afternoon and everyone will be back in shorts and tees! hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I remember when the cathedral was free and the Yorvik Center very reasonable too. When that heather is out on the Moors it takes some beating. To be fair £2.50 for all day parking is pretty good, I had to pay £8.50 yesterday in the Lakes, later to find a National Trust car park (I am a member) about 200 yards away on my way back 😡. We always stopped at Sutton Bank when we were kids on the way to Flamingo Land, as I was always car sick. Has to be 15 years since I last walked under that viaduct on the way to one of the Three Peaks, I need to go back again. Cheers Alan
Ah it’s a great place of Yorkshire, this was meant to be top 5 but family travesty meant we had to hastily retreat it back to 3. It was going to include your beatutifulWensleydale walk you do each year with Mrs Metalman. Hopefully if this gets traction we will do “Another 3 free days out in Yorkshire video”, Sutton Bank is incredible, im so pleased there still is a magnitude of free parking there (as there should be). Whernside was a 7 hour return trip for us sadly, Yorkshire is massive with only the worst single tracked roads to get from A to B. The free parking really adds an incredible amount of enjoyment to a day, its getting harder and harder to find sadly,
Interesting seeing what is available to do without spending money. Beautiful location. Wonderful editing. Appreciate all the effort that went into this.
These are amazing walks and they are free! I love Heather Small, a great singer and I loved the band M People. Lots of greenery and great views. Eeek! 😮snake! Nice drone footage Nichols. Great well formed trails. Wow 😮that mist! Hello sheep 🐏🐑 Great aqueduct guys. Great walks Have a great weekend Jill and Nichols. Awesome days out. ❤❤❤
M people were awesome many a memory of dancing infront of my bedroom mirror with my hairbrush as a mic singing loudly out of tune 🤣 thanks guys you too 👍❤️
Hi Jill & Nick, a lovely stroll through the beautiful purple heather and lush greenery of the North Yorkshire Moors 💜💚 It was wonderful to see the famous white horse...and the super-chilled out cow 🐮Nice twirls over the bridge, Jill 💃💃💃Aw, the sheep were so friendly 🐑🐑 Some brilliant free days out ❤
Getting some great drone usage here guys! Great, I'm gonna have that M People song in my head all day now 😅 the Moors certainly do look colourful with all the heather. Ooh I'd never heard of Hambleton Hills before. Looks nice there! Photos turned out great! Ahh I remember seeing the snake on Instagram! Ahh Ribblehead Viaduct, I did the Yorkshire 3 Peaks a few years back so I know about Whernside! Ohh the weather turned a bit at the summit! Those sheep were very curious! Top vid guys! 🎉
had my first pleasant experience with the drone just today on a secluded cove, no birds and the most perfect shot yet. yet on Saturday night I had one of my worst experiences with it yet, filming the fireworks, all was fine until a really loud bang woke up every seagull in a 10 mile radius and they all woke up and scattered frantically into the sky only narrowly missing the drone, several right next to it on camera. it was just a miracle it wasn’t knocked out of the sky. if I could go back in time I wouldn’t get one but there’s no doubting that a well timed shot might make a new viewer stay. I’m hoping that will be the case when I’m in Italy next week, i’lol be starting every video with a drone shot. the Yorkshire three peaks are wonderful, someone needs to move Pen-y-gent closer to the other two though! what a trek.
Well I'm certainly with you on the free days out. Hermit friendly all 3 of them and hiking...oh yes I love a bit of hiking. You can keep your costly hermit unfriendly places you mentioned at the start. Pretty cool with the white horse on the hill at Hambleton Hills. The Whernside hike took me back to when I did it a few years ago. I believe there's a steam train that goes over it now or did I dream that ha ha. The sheep were a bit of entertainment too. That viaduct is an awesome sight 👍
I do love a good viaduct Paul. something mesmerising about them. when we did the peaks a few years ago I did see a steam train running over it, I guess you have to get lucky though! free days out all the way! been filming some more today, it’s nice just to get back to the hiking and try to find a better balance with the channel overall!
Great intro Nick and Jill. The area is absolutely outstanding with its rolling hills, valleys and moors. Great hikes, a bit foggy on Yorkshire Dales but still beautiful. A viaduct in the end is gorgeous 👍❤️
I’ve never had the chance to visit Yorkshire, but it looks absolutely delightful. Nice historic countryside with picturesque landscapes and rolling hills is stunning, not to mention the lovely views of the wildlife. It seems like you guys were having a wonderful time there. Thank you for sharing.
Attractions are really becoming too expensive for families. So glad your showing what you can see for free which is amazing! I wish we had gates if the weeks here. I would love to see all that Heather blooming. Thanks lovely Nick & Jill! 👍😊🇨🇦
this really puts into perspective the group tour we just took and the price breakdown for all of the places we saw. it adds up! but i have to admit one of my favorite parts was when we just walked to a park on our own and played disc golf on our own. nice use of the drone in the moors and that beautiful purple heather! getting savvy with it my friends! glad wade's rock missed his wife! i got my bridge twirl on recently and thought of you jilly! i liked the dales waterfall and bridge a lot and i loved all the cows and sheeps (and the convo with them at the end, dying...)! so many songs this week 🤭 cheers! 🛴❤
Hi Anne yay to getting your twirl on and thanks for thinking of me 😘 thanks for another great comment! The drone still petrifies us but we do feel it brings something extra to our videos! Hope you are having a great week ❤️
@@GENerationXplorers i'm sure others will benefit from this video! Keep in mind, a short walk for you might seem like a massive hike to me! Lol I hope you had a wonderful anniversary! 🩷
Was so glad I made the premier. What a fantastic walks. Think I said all I can about loving it in the chat but I’ll repeat myself just for the record. Drone shots seagull free YAY! Moaning: Jill - NEVER😂! Singing talking hiking filming - what a great combination. You guys rock. Loved all three walks/ hikes. Who knows I may get to do one or two one of these days. Happy Sunday 😎🇳🇱🙋♀️🥝
Happy Sunday Anita! Always lovely having you at the premiere especially when you are on your holibobs it’s an honour! Hope one day you can join us on one of these! Safe travels & much love ❤️
Hi Nick and Jill that cow was so chilled . Always enjoy your tips on free days out there is so much out there to enjoy. The viaduct is amazing we love seeing them they are so spectacular up close. We have a similar one near us in the Welland valley. Some great sheep so cute always love your cute animal sections 😆. A big 👍 hope you have a wonderful weekend Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤
As usual very great video Jill and Nick. And yes, that's a lot for a family to pay. So great you both show alternatives. Have a wonderful weekend 🦇🖤🖤🖤🖤🦇
Really great list! Impressive those are free and saves you on the budget. Beautiful fields and trails, picnic benches with a stunner 😍 especially that heather field! Photographers really love those 😂
Now that was an awesome video. Makes us want to head north again. Absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to come and explore these places for ourselves. ❤️👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️
Hi guys loved the moving shots on the b roll at start .and these formats are really good the way you are showing us these places that are free or cheap.and you are still showing us gates of the week which is great as its always been one of your iconic trademarks.and i must say your audio is second to none.always look forward to what you are do in next .have a great week
ah thank you Simon yes the Hollyland Mark M2 Mics are probably the best thing we have bought for youtube yet. they work with phones, cameras, pretty much anything, have a 40 hour battery life and come in a carry case that also charges them whilst not plugged in! they are a game changer. we are still learning to not shout when talking to the camera as the mics will pick you up whispering from about 300 metres away! holding off on bringing “boarded up britain” back, it was set to return this Friday but we are on our hols the week after and don’t want to have a new instalment sat there so there will be a nice variety of videos over the next three weeks first! hope your having an amazing week and as always a MASSIVE thank you for your support, we would definitely not be here without your help and belief in us. xx
Brilliant 😍 Love Yorkshire 👌 That viaduct is just incredible!!! Also loved that walk through the Heather. It’s been incredible this year 😍 I’ve got to give a shoutout to your editing on this one Nick and the intro - brilliant 😁❤️
ah thank you Phil 🙏 we do try to keep finding new ways to share our hikes with people, hopefully they will find an audience of their own one day. I do love that viaduct, I find it mesmerising and August is definitely the month for a trip to the Moors, a truly special time to be amongst all that purple heather. it was going to be top five (but we simply ran out of time), the other two would have been Malham Cove and Wensleydale which can still both be visited and enjoyed for free!
Outstanding top three! They look like great days out ❤ More places for me to add to my go-to list 😃 And, great production on the video. The drone shots add that extra edge and those mics seem to work a treat 👍
Cheers Jaune still learning with both the mics and drone but you are right it does give the videos that little bit more 👍 hope you and Mrs Jaune have a great weekend x
Cool to see alternate or free options, I can imagine, if you are two adults and two kids, a day out can be very expensive. The entrance fee alone can be expensive, then comes food or a visit to the giftshop. The view along your walking tours are amazing. I hope you'll have a great weekend.
Lovely video as always - some cracking places to visit there, I (David) have been totally rubbish at going for a walk of late and so wanted to this year. Thanks for the inspiration and some fantastic walks. It’s an amazing area isn’t it. North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales are amazing. Thanks for the inspiration! Hope to catch you soon, David & Rachel 👍
The cost can be phenomenal, I've been there! So your video highlighting free parts of Yorkshire that are just stunning. The moor was just so pretty and a bonus seeing the wildlife. The views from the Hambleton Hills is just stunning and the walk from the FREE parking didn't look too bad, cool chilled cow lol. I always enjoy a pew with a view 💜. A fab Yorkshire Dales walk too, with an awesome viaduct and noisy trains. Beautiful Yorkshire💜💜
thank you so much Nettie, we have been just revisiting some of your Lago Di Garda vids, glad to see them doing well. we will be there next week, cant wait. have to say it was your videos that made me rethink visiting the place. I always thought the Garda was vast and more like a coastline than a lake shore but thats just the South part of the Lake. we’ll be spending our week up in the North where the villages are backed onto oppressive looking mountains. so excited!
@@GENerationXplorers I hope you have a fantastic time, we loved the Northern Towns and scenery of Lake Garda and how the stillness or otherwise of the lake changed so much each day!💜💜I look forward to seeing your adventures there!
Hi guys Happy weekend ❤ WOW! Can't believe how expensive some of those places are The Deep really shocked us. Free parking always good That heather was stunning and great singing Jill or should we say Heather 😂😂😂 Also loved the Lion Sleeps tonight 😂😂😂 We drove past the White Horse a few weeks ago wish we had parked up and done the walk. Mind sheep and Boo not always good 😂😂😂😂 What a place for a picnic Yorkshire Dales another fab area, shame the weather changed You've really showcased Yorkshire well Thanks for all the What3Words /// Lots of gate of the week ❤ Another fabulous video guys
Very little off-grid parking in the Dales we found, whereas we found loads of spits in and around the moors. Don't forget Bolton Abbey for a pricey-but-worth-it day out. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul 👋
Hi both. Great idea for a video. The moors look stunning then such a diversity of landscapes. The second walk has amazing views. Not unlike our area in South Wales. Shame about the views on the third walk but loved the views on the way up there. Loved the video and thanks for sharing! Best wishes 😎😍👬
Three cracking days out here Nick beautiful views 👌🏻 Can’t believe how expensive the regular tourist destinations are 😱 I’d take these over them any time! Best wishes to Jill Simon 🤠👍🏔️
I do feel for families in Yorkshire, unless they have hiking and the outdoors in their blood like we do they will undoubtedly need to remortgage their homes to holiday here! hope your having an amazing weekend! 11 days to go till Italy 🎉
@@GENerationXplorers yes it can’t be easy for families with young children it’s the same down my way Nick 10 years ago £50 would be a paid entry trip plus a bit to eat now it would basically nearly pay for the entry 🥹 As for the Alps I bet your buzzing been snowing too in the region 🏔️🏔️🏔️🇮🇹👌🏻
@SetForAdventures yes I was speaking to a lady from Austria yesterday and she said they had seen a fair bit already. We were brought up right thankfully, the outdoors is in our blood!
I must admit I really want to go to The Deep - I might just go on my own £74.50 - ouch! Thanks for showing us these walks. I have to say I appreciate them more at my age than I did in my youth (shame my knees don't).
£74.50, so steep. think the Deep was the most expensive place we could find. its a shame as I’ve heard lots of great things about the place and its an architectural feat of engineering that truly amazes! My knees are with yours Andy! trekking poles help or if your having a bad day a support strap always helps!
Hey my friend how are you doing today hope all is good 👍 here to show love 💕 and support great video love 💕 it thanks 🙏 for sharing stay connected cheers 💐
Seems like any "attraction" unless you are an annual member of something like National Trust or English Heritage is an absolute arm n leg to get in to . It always shocks me how much for just me & hubby ( though getting there with the occasional pensioners discount 🤣 ) so I do feel sorry for families. Though all that's needed is a sturdy pair of hiking shoes oh & a waterproof jacket for the UK haha and you can get some great days out in the countryside.. Loved all three of these, especially when so quiet ... the heather, waterfalls, bridge twirls and gates of the week all looking magnificent not forgetting that superb picnic bench ... great video .. catching up on video and looking forward to in person very soon 😍🤗🤗xx
Hi Well … Had a few, erm “issues” on the actual journey though all eventually resolved !!! After that. was brill. Will tell all when we meet up 😃 Not had a min since back but will try to sort a few photos very soon 🥰xx
I really am amazed at the prices for attractions these days...don't know how anyone can afford them. Being as thrifty (cheap) as I am, free is always the best price! We are seeing indications that many free parking spots may be turned to pay-to-park with a kiosk to take your money and a ticket for the windshield. Always appreciate benches or picnic tables...great to stop for a banana especially! All very special!!
good evening nick and jill. i found out yesterday, on my birthday that i had covit. me and my dad. i could of done without that birthday present. have a good weekend mates.
Happy belated birthday Kris! Apologies I did want to email you but got tied up with a busy day at work! So sorry you caught Covid and on your birthday too 😟 hope you and your dad don’t suffer too badly with it and get well soon! sending much love across the pond ❤️🩹❤️
Well done on getting the op Gary, hope it goes well. I’m waiting 4 years now on my consultation for me, they just cancelled my November consultation! Levisham is a great place for a free park! Let me know how you get on 👍
Your budget friendly activity guide allures so many families urge to make some plan. Any holidays coming up? Personally, I am fond of the arched bridge and white horse on the mountain face. I take my hat off for you, two
thank you so much Ms Kayak, its really important to get families outdoors experiencing all these amazing places that are completely free. we are off to the foothills of the Dolomites in just 11 days, never been before, very excited!
Some cracking views! I love how sheep don't give two hoots when you stroll past! What suggestions do you have for free/cheap indoor activities in Yorkshire? N&Nx
Hi N & N ❤️ free indoor Yorkshire sites would be York Railway museum is awesome! Bridlington Priory in the old town! Scarborough art gallery and museum is £3 for both for the year! Byland Abbey! Whitby art gallery! Hull art gallery and museum! York city walls! Beverley Minster! hope this helps! great ask by the way! hope our answer helps ❤️
Looks like Yorkshire is it then...sign me up...free is for me...unfortunately I am still entertaining friends from New York...no pun intended 🤣🤣 so will probably be out and about by Noon my time today...coming home from almost two weeks in Arizona into our friends has been lots of fun but exhausting I must say...I will catch up in the evening hopefully depending on how long the day goes😂
thankfully that’s the nicest snake I’ve seen this year. a recent walk saw us get very close to three actual adders. the first was exciting, the second was off putting and the third just put me off walking any further!
oh no, sorry to hear that Ian! mind you with the second and third one it’s worth pulling up in the car, grabbing the free parking and sitting and enjoying the view from the start!
Will come check this one after the premiere guys. (your premiere is at 4am here local time, so will be tomorrow) I can guess the Top 3 already : 1. Yorkshire Pudding 2. Yorkshire Pudding 3. Yorkshire Pudding. Now, am I right or am I right? Haha.. See you in the replay, have a great Friday.... Thomas

Something so incredible about Viaducts, id never tire of looking at them! Family days out in Yorkshire can be really expensive with sea life centres and aquariums seemingly the most expensive places that seldom do family tie in deals. I remember when the cathedral was free and the Yorvik Center very reasonable too. When that heather is out on the Moors it takes some beating. To be fair £2.50 for all day parking is pretty good, I had to pay £8.50 yesterday in the Lakes, later to find a National Trust car park (I am a member) about 200 yards away on my way back 😡. ah thank you Simon yes the Hollyland Mark M2 Mics are probably the best thing we have bought for youtube yet. they work with phones, cameras, pretty much anything, have a 40 hour battery life and come in a carry case that also charges them whilst not plugged in! they are a game changer. we are still learning to not shout when talking to the camera as the mics will pick you up whispering from about 300 metres away! holding off on bringing “boarded up britain” back, it was set to return this Friday but we are on our hols the week after and don’t want to have a new instalment sat there so there will be a nice variety of videos over the next three weeks first! hope your having an amazing week and as always a MASSIVE thank you for your support, we would definitely not be here without your help and belief in us. xx
This is again a well made video of you. Wonderful landscape and nature. It was very interesting to watch. Many greetings 😀
Thank you very much! Have a great day 👍
Two tickets please. 🎫🎫
Two tickets for the VIP box with popcorn and beers booked 👍😉
Wow some really lovely walk there, I would love to do the white horse one. Great video
thank you Cara, yes the white horse walk is a lovely one!
Gate of the week ❤
three in total! I’m spoiling everyone! 😂
@@GENerationXplorers spoilt for choice!
Brilliant 😍
Love Yorkshire 👌
That viaduct is just incredible!!!
Also loved that walk through the Heather. It’s been incredible this year 😍
I’ve got to give a shoutout to your editing on this one Nick and the intro - brilliant 😁❤️
ah thank you Phil 🙏 we do try to keep finding new ways to share our hikes with people, hopefully they will find an audience of their own one day.
They look like great days out ❤ More places for me to add to my go-to list 😃
And, great production on the video.
You are so right Thomas it adds up quickly! Thanks have a great week 👍
Absolutely cheers guys! catch you soon 👍❤️
@earsandideas7266 thank you Nettie! One more week to go! 😅
Very nice video my friends thank you so much for sharing 😄
Thanks guys catch you soon 👍
Hi guys
Happy weekend ❤
WOW! Can't believe how expensive some of those places are The Deep really shocked us.
Free parking always good
That heather was stunning and great singing Jill or should we say Heather 😂😂😂
Also loved the Lion Sleeps tonight 😂😂😂
We drove past the White Horse a few weeks ago wish we had parked up and done the walk. Mind sheep and Boo not always good 😂😂😂😂
What a place for a picnic
Yorkshire Dales another fab area, shame the weather changed
You've really showcased Yorkshire well
Thanks for all the What3Words ///
Lots of gate of the week ❤
Another fabulous video guys
🤣🤣🐑💩 🐶thanks guys! Happy weekend ❤️
Very little off-grid parking in the Dales we found, whereas we found loads of spits in and around the moors. Don't forget Bolton Abbey for a pricey-but-worth-it day out. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul 👋
Cheers Paul we don’t do pricey 🤣 have a great weekend 👍
GATE OVERLOAD, GATE OVERLOAD.🤯 Two in one vlogs more than i can handle.🤪❤❤xx
Sorry Rach Gate overdose 🤣 hope all is well have a lovely weekend ❤️
@@GENerationXplorers you too guys.xx
Hi both. Great idea for a video. The moors look stunning then such a diversity of landscapes. The second walk has amazing views. Not unlike our area in South Wales. Shame about the views on the third walk but loved the views on the way up there. Loved the video and thanks for sharing! Best wishes 😎😍👬
Glad you enjoyed it guys! Hope you are having a good week 👍❤️
Hie fool is your intro lovelies! It looked like you were in top of the world at one point! Thanks for making my day. Love you guys❤
Thank you so much Marie love you too ❤️
Three cracking days out here Nick beautiful views 👌🏻
Can’t believe how expensive the regular tourist destinations are 😱
I’d take these over them any time!
Best wishes to Jill
Simon 🤠👍🏔️
I do feel for families in Yorkshire, unless they have hiking and the outdoors in their blood like we do they will undoubtedly need to remortgage their homes to holiday here! hope your having an amazing weekend! 11 days to go till Italy 🎉
@@GENerationXplorers yes it can’t be easy for families with young children it’s the same down my way Nick 10 years ago £50 would be a paid entry trip plus a bit to eat now it would basically nearly pay for the entry 🥹
As for the Alps I bet your buzzing been snowing too in the region 🏔️🏔️🏔️🇮🇹👌🏻
Thanks for the visit and taking the time to comment! Have a great day 👍
Love this. ❤
Cheers Mr Brilltastic have a great weekend 👍❤️
Hi Christine hope you had a great holiday? (5 more sleeps until ours 💃) yeah places are pricey! excited for our meet up! have a lovely weekend 👍❤️
Hi Well … Had a few, erm “issues” on the actual journey though all eventually resolved !!! After that. was brill. Will tell all when we meet up 😃 Not had a min since back but will try to sort a few photos very soon 🥰xx
Looking forward to hearing all about your next trip too … has come around so fast, but maybe not soon enough for you haha
I know the world is going bonkers! Thanks Bruce & Otis ❤️🍌
Great video guys ❤
Thank you 🤗
good evening nick and jill. i found out yesterday, on my birthday that i had covit. me and my dad. i could of done without that birthday present. have a good weekend mates.
Happy belated birthday Kris! Apologies I did want to email you but got tied up with a busy day at work! So sorry you caught Covid and on your birthday too 😟 hope you and your dad don’t suffer too badly with it and get well soon! sending much love across the pond ❤️🩹❤️
3 cracking walks hoping to do Horcum next week before I go in for my hernia op.
@@GENerationXplorers an excellent list! Cheers!
Wade’s got a DV black flag
As he should Adam! 😂
Thanks lovely lady! Enjoy your time with friends ❤️ have a lovely weekend 😘
Snake 🐍 on the trail?! HECK NO!!
I much prefer the sheep!!!
thankfully that’s the nicest snake I’ve seen this year. a recent walk saw us get very close to three actual adders. the first was exciting, the second was off putting and the third just put me off walking any further!
Some great scenery there to be had. Sadly my legs wouldnt last more than 5mins there.
oh no, sorry to hear that Ian! mind you with the second and third one it’s worth pulling up in the car, grabbing the free parking and sitting and enjoying the view from the start!
Will come check this one after the premiere guys. (your premiere is at 4am here local time, so will be tomorrow)
I can guess the Top 3 already : 1. Yorkshire Pudding 2. Yorkshire Pudding 3. Yorkshire Pudding. Now, am I right or am I right? Haha.. See you in the replay, have a great Friday....
Thomas
Hi Thomas 🤣 great comment but wrong I’m afraid! Catch you soon! Happy Friday ❤️
do you still have covit in the u.k.?
We’ve had it twice Kris, still very prevalent sadly
