Two vans, double the fun! This time we brought along some friends we got through this UA-cam-channel, how crazy is that!? They have a great VW T3 camper van and we shared a few days while going deep into a remote area of Norway with no facilities, living off grid. We also got to celebrate Norways constitutional day, May 17th, you'll learn some Norwegian traditions along the way. Norway was proud of five of its citizens on that day. Properly celebrating, the only way to do it ... I wish we had such a tradition in my country.

VW T3 are nice cars. A friend of mine from Berlin drives a VW ex bundeswehr and has carefully converted it into a camper. I notice how robust the T3 are built ...
I once had a T4 2.5 TDI Westfalia and went to Norway with it in 2019 ... beautiful landscapes :)
I'll go back there in 2022. But with another camper ..

Great trip! Too bad about the Wasserboxer acting up. I ditched mine after I had an important trip ruined by a bad air flow meter (and bad fuel filter... and bad O2 sensor... ). I have a 2.2L Subaru engine in my T3 now and I love it. Better in every way.
Thanks, it was fun! Yeah, it got kind of interesting as we drove back home. Lucikly they made it, but the van was taken straight to the garage afterwards. Awesome, I would love to convert to a new engine myself. We’re looking at the 1.9 AAZ, let’s see what we end up with

When my wife and I went to Norway for our honeymoon we visited Eidsvollsbygningen where the constitution was signed as we're rented a cabin in that area. Great video as always but always sad to see a T3 broken down :( the realities of classic vans.

Nice!😊 That building is true symbol of our independence and constitutional law. Thank you, but like you said the whole trip got less joyful when their van boiled over. They have spent a fortune on it on repairs now, but it doesn’t sound like the problem is gone yet...

I follow @iamnordic to see Telemark. I remember visiting Oslo in 2018 on May 17th. I actually arrived the night before and didn't realize celebrations start the day before. I would love to see it elsewhere in the country, outside of the big cities. Great footage!

We’ve been looking into adding some bikes to our setup, but I want something like the Super 73 RX for off-roading and grocery shopping when we are parked at a remote location. But I think we gonna swap engine first, because the steep Norwegian roads are demanding.
@@SimonBraeck The bikes look great. Would be very interested to see any videos If you decide to swap out the engine. Likely to do the same when ours gives up. Great quality videos appreciate the effort that must go into these. 👍
I would make videos of that for sure, but first we need to enjoy some cruising this summer before we start that process. I imagine it will cause a few issues and make the vehicle unusable for a while. Thanks for the kind words😊
