I started looking into mustangs and Camaros… prices on cars have been coming down but not so much on these V8s. I have about $20-25k and I can’t find a S550 GT with low miles in that price range,I want like 30-40k miles at most and those are all in the high 20s plus tax. I can only find s197 GT’s with low mileage for that price range but I kinda want that independent rear suspension and the s550 overall feels better and newer while s197 is more raw. It would also bother me to drop $15-20k on a 10-15 year old ford. Back in my 20s you could have had a 10 year old GT with decent low miles for $10k or less. Camaro is same situation. I haven’t looked at scat packs cause I don’t want them,I had a horrible time with my charger and I promised no mopar ever again,I put 20k miles on it from new and had numerous issues including my AC never working properly from the day I drove it off the lot. The whole dash needed to be removed for the fix and they refused to do it and when I finally got them to agree they botched the job. Dodge dealer treated me like shit and I will also never forget that… the way I get treated at the Lexus dealer and dodge dealer is night and day… it wasn’t just one dealership,I took it to multiple ones and was even willing to pay to get them to fix my AC. I had starter go out twice on me. Cooling issues too, first radiator went then water pump. They fixed it but maybe didn’t attach drive belt right and that thing snapped off when I was far from home leaving me stranded. I was told they like the smell or taste of coolant so yeah.
Yeah I been trying to shop for a Camaro or a mustang GT. I have $20k-25k to work with so I wanted a early 6th gen with low miles (like 30k-40k miles max) and I can’t find one, only ones that been in accidents or salvage titles are in that price range. The good ones are high 20s and then tax so I’m priced out. Same thing with mustang gt. I wanted an s550 with low miles,a 2015 is now a 9 year old car but I can’t find one for low 20s or even mid 20s
Yeah and depending on the dealership you'll be paying around 45k with all the taxes, which is still a good price for what you getting specifically when you consider that 45k is the starting price for scat packs and some mustangs.
Favorite part of the gen 6 camaro is the steering. Give me the base of the base models. Give me the cloth seats. I don't care. I want that razor sharp and communicative steering, which is what kills any Mustang short of the GT350 for me.

Coming from an old heavily modified Subaru STI, the steering really did surprise me. Seemed very composed for the weight. Very excited to spend the summer with this car. The newer cars have a more separated feel, but I wanted to drive a V8 once in my life. Since they're going away it's now or never!
Only things I hate about them is the visibility, and the non-reclining seats. They are a PAIN on a long commute or daily driving, where as the Mustang and Challengers are more comfortable and have an ACTUAL physical parking brake.

from my experience the mustang has always sounded better especially at idle. Iv'e owned a 2010 2SS a 2012 v6 LFX and now a 2017 1SS. @@deesplash7087 you obviously have a lot to learn bud. There’s people in this world that appreciate a car collection and preserve them. The fuck you talking about
@deesplash7087 right drive it when it's new .
I’ll take scat…more space 😅
The interior blows compared to my 5.0 but the chassis is magic,I’ve built a gen 6 that runs with Demons on the strip and eats Porsche’s on a track all for well under 100k that’s the best part of this car hands down.
Is the Camaro manual transmission or automatic transmission???
Manual!
from my experience the mustang has always sounded better especially at idle. Iv'e owned a 2010 2SS a 2012 v6 LFX and now a 2017 1SS. The Camaro can definitely be faster and more stable than a mustang. But the mustang gt sound better in my opinion. i'll give it 2 years before I decide to trade in my car for maybe a 2019 GT350. Camaros only sound better once you add in headers or a cam.
I dont like the front end on the LTI, The front on the Camaro SS looks a lot better and top end is faster than the LTI. A 1SS camaro doesnt cost much more than the LT1.
one thing u didn’t like tho was the rev limiter lol
Only thing is it’s not a muscle car it’s a sports car
I paid 34.4 for a 2SS in 16. Times change I guess.
Is this my sign to get a camaro instead of a dodge??
Man l cant think top open camaro or normal car camaro
Paddles and manual transmission? 🧐
Yup! Controls active rev matching!
@@gvaspiratedso don’t say “automatic rev matching” that’s misleading. My Mustang has actual auto rev matching, this is still manual rev matching just with paddles.
You can get a scat for way less than 37...
not new for new xD
Yea. Lovin dat.
Ich liebe meinen Camaro 2018er.
Oorah! CREAM CORN!
