A walk around bed is a non-negotiable for me, too.
Using a king-size bed sideways is a brilliant way to make it fit in a bus! You can standard sized bedding on that mattress, plus easily make the bed without crawling on your hands and knees.
That headboard worked out beautifully :)
A comfortable bed and a good night's sleep are so worth it!

If planning to stay .. consider putting bales of hay around the bus for blockage and insulation.. and y'all need some insulating curtains -
