It some of the reasons why the 2JZ is so legendary, it's way over built from the factory and can easily handle 2 maybe even 3 times its factory output on stock internals and still be reliable.

@@noxcoma1109 dude just Bc it’s built don’t mean anything. It’s common sense don’t do a pull after u blow a coolant line off. There’s obviously a problem with a head gasket. Water prob got in that oil and he spun a bearing. He could have towed it home instead of driving it

1st, I was mostly kidding. 2. He shouldn't have redlined the car that hard (idc what the cluster showed, you could hear it). 3. He's definitely not the only problem (I think he needs a good engine builder), but he ain't helping. If he got a good motor though, it should've withstood that beating.
Either way, keep going Gavin! Hopefully you can find a good builder and get that car dialed. You'll get her to the track someday!
i think the limiter is extended passed the red line now in this car for the tune.
This engine is rated for 8,000RPM, so the redline on the tune is set at 8,000RPM. The stock Ford cluster shows red at only 7,500RPM though. Doesn’t mean I’m on limiter lol.

@Boosted V8 Well normally when I get an engine from a builder it last 2 seasons before needing gone thru. dude hasn’t even drove it. this is the second time he’s drove it since that engine was put in and it pushed a head gasket. If your engine blows up 2 times in a row after 4 drives none of which are even on a track then you should look for a new builder.

Sorry when this many motors go you can't keep blaming the motor. There's a lot of guys that run these same motors and don't have these problems. Shit guys have been 6s @ 200mph+ with just pistons and rods.

MMR is kicking themselves right now. They can’t blame it on gavin buying the motor from a second party either. They held the engine hostage for months and went through the motor. Horrible publicity for them.

Actually it’s most likely not MMR’s fault. It pressurized the cooling system, which is a head gasket. The head gasket was sealed just fine, hence why he was able to put X amount of miles and dyno pulls on it. This is going to be a tune issue that made the head gasket pop from going lean. After the head gasket popped, it’s going to have coolant in the oil. Instead of being smart and towing it home, he decided to put water back in it and go beat on it. He went from replacing head gaskets due to a tuning issue, to rebuilding a bottom end due to his ignorance.
Mannn, I feel for you all. You all keep trying and trying. You finally get a good tune for her, and the motor was like....nope no nada.

Damn lol.... pressurize cooling system enough to blow a radiator hose off... lets try some more pulls lol... some people just aint ment to have high powered cars. btw issue with some sleeved engines is the sleeve drops below deck a few thousands and looses clamp load and compression and combustion events will push through the headgasket. Best bet is to send it off to TKM and have him go through the short block and its there have him profile deck the the block and oring it. make sure you use cometic head gaskets and when torquing arp studs make sure washers aren’t spinning on head surface.
