    What a fantastic video. This is the first one I'm seen on changing this kind of diverter motor/valve. I couldn't even find any documents on where this was located, till I saw your video. All other videos are on changing cartridges or motors on the left-hand side of the heat exchanger. Well done and keep up with these videos.

    Great video, I changed one of these today, I did it with the second method, used Allen key to loosen it off then used the worcester 4mm x 2.5mm Allen keys you can buy to undo them fully, wasn't bad to do atall! Alot easier getting the worcester combo allen key in 👌

    This is why on any install with a plastic manifold a water arrestor is a must. That with clean system water should prevent premature dv failure.
    Keep up coming bruv, thanks for taking the time to make these tutorials 👍
    Set yourself up a rig with ply and stud work. It'll make it alot easier to show us your workings 🙌

    Great video 👌, I had to change an expansion vessel flexi on one of these the other day, did it in situ…..what a nightmare of a job, my hands were mashed up after😂, next time I will just take the right hand block out to do it.

      @@pauldavison7138 Hey Paul, na sorry. I like to keep them for spares just in case. It’s handy to have the whole boiler spare when your doing repairs

    I'm a newly qualified engineer and this is a great video to help in future repairs. I prefer the 2nd method, less things to go wrong.

    I’m not a big fan of them at all but That boiler looks In to good of condition to be replaced . What’s the background to it main heat exchanger failure ?

    Hi Mate, my divertor motor popped out of position the other day after draining and re pressuring the system, not sure how! However after I reseated the motor on to the divertor my demand for hot water now heats the rads, any idea?

    What do you need to remove to take out just the PRV? Any tips on that?

    • @advancedboilertraining
      @advancedboilertraining  3 роки тому

      Hey, you shouldn’t need to remove anything. Use bent long nose pliers to remove the PRV clip inside the boiler, undo or cut the PRV pipe under the boiler and push it out. I’ve got a video on my site showing the whole process

    Might seem like a dumb question but are the boilers you’re recording, boilers that are going to be replaced or are you taking them off the wall to work on? 🤷‍♂️

    • @advancedboilertraining

      They’re the old boilers from installs. I keep them for parts and decided to start making videos on them👍

    I’m really sorry pal, but I have to give you a thumbs down, it was painful watching you make taking the stepper motor and paddle out such hard work. It’s a really easy job to get it out but you made it look really hard

      Bahco SB-2058/S26 BHSB-2058/S26 Bit Socket Set, Multi-Colour, 1/...
      Wera Kraftform Kompakt 60 Bit-Holding screwdriver & Bit Set, PH/...
      Get yourself these tools, if you haven’t already, total of £40 from Amazon and you can use the extensions from the wear set in the mini ratchet set, and it will come out really really easy, without having to remove the return manifold.

      That was harsh, I changed the thumbs down to thumbs up, you had the balls to make the vid in the first place. I should be supportive not critical. Sorry 👍

    • @advancedboilertraining
      @advancedboilertraining  3 роки тому +4

      You don’t have to apologise, if you know a better way to do it then I’m all for it. I’m not perfect, but I am always up for improvement which is why I do these videos (to practise on the boilers in my free time so I can get quicker and also help less experienced guys out). I appreciate the constructive criticism and bought both sets, thanks Kevin 👍
