Thank you for taking the extra time to produce this video. I know how hard it is to want to just dig in and get the work done, but sacrificing the time that it takes to video and explain things deserves major kudos to you! This is a big help for my upcoming plug/coil pack change out. Peace!
I just want to post a comment to say how grateful I am for this video you made. I’ve watched many, many, trying to feel confident in getting to my coils and plugs in my 05 Mazda tribute. It took 2 days (weather delays in Michigan) to get to the coils and finally ready to get the spark plugs out… but of COURSE my socket was not a spark plug socket 😆 and it got stuck in the well on the spark plug 🤦♀️ it was a hair too small also, but got it out today! Time to go get me a real spark plug socket in the correct size to finish the job!! 👏 👏 👏 I must have referenced this video about 50 times so far and probably will another 50 before my job is done! So thank you thank you thank you! You’re an exceptional teacher and very good at handling the camera too!! My guy friends think I’m so wild doing work on my cars all the time 😂 🤷♀️ too broke and too smart to pay someone else to do it, ya know?! Thanks again! I’ll post when I’m done ✅
I always do my own mechanic, it has always come naturally to me. I watched your video because I've owned a couple of these Mazda tribute. I like to refresh my memory on things and you made a pretty straightforward video. 💯👍
Thank you for taking the time to do this video instruction. Made me really appreciate the amount of work, effort and knowledge involved in a 'simple' (not) spark plug (and coil) change.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video, I followed along and replaced a #2 coil ignition today and replaced the plugs while I was at it. Car now runs great again. Not all heroes wear capes!
Thank you for the excellent tutorial! I'm getting ready to change all 6 ignition coils and plugs this weekend! I've been seeing things about needing to install a new PCM when doing this. Are you familiar with the possibility of needing to do that?
Prices can start at $40-$150 for a minimal tune-up that includes replacing the spark plugs and inspecting the spark plug wires, but it can cost more for a tune-up that includes replacing other parts. It also depends on if you see a dealer or a smaller garage.
Surprised you didnt change the 2 coils while you were already there. Did you have any issues later on putting the old coils back on? Ive always been told you might as well change coils if you;re going to change out spark plugs
As long as you're careful, you shouldn't have any trouble with the coils. The main point was to show how to get to them. You can get coils at the same time so you don't have to remember a bunch of different dates for when you changed out them. That's why some oil change garages can do your spark plugs at the same time as an oil change. Just one date to remember for everything.
Your video is shaky. Find a place to set the camera and leave it there. If you take it all off, make sure you cover all the openings with a rag or tape so that no debris falls into your engine. While you have it all apart like that, clean the parts and replace the gaskets at least.
One of the best mechanic videos I've seen. Made me realize while I'll pay to have someone do this for me
ill be working at firestone, let me do it for you

Thanks for the time you took and the step by step detail you included. Nothing is assumed or skipped, excellent video.
Really appreciate you taking the time to do this. Cheers!
Followed this video today on an 03. Thanks! Didn’t take as long as I thought it would.
Great video!!! Very easy to understand and extremely helpful
Incredible video, very well made.
Thanks heaps for that. How on earth did you managed to keep it in focus whilst you worked? Has probably saved me hours of hassle. Very well done.
Man oh man to much work just to change the spark plugs Nice video
Thanks brother finally someone did a video on 2005 mazda 😊
Mannnnnnnnnnnnn.....Thank you very much!!! I appreciate you more than you will ever know!

With this vehicle I don't believe you need to. I've changed coils on it before and it ran fine afterwards.
Many Thanks for the video
A lot of ruddy work to change plugs. Thinking of buying one of these. Getting second thoughts.
How reliable are these V6s?
Is 55 standard gapping for all Mazda Tributes v6? I have a 2002. Thanks :)
.050-.055 inches for 2002-2005 is what I could find from my research.
@@FlamingSpiderCyclone Thank you for your response! I found it exceptionally difficult to find anything online. Appreciate it
Great video! Very helpful!!
Thanks for the post!
what a excellent explanation, thumb up 👍🏼
Glad you liked it!
I have a Nov 2000 model (the first?) and I'm trying this is T minus 8 hours. Hope it is not harder than this.
Whoever designed this needs taken behind the woodshed.
Preparing to change plugs in my Tribute tomorrow.
😂
Hopefully this will fix ‘05 p0302 diagnosis
hey my intake (plenum?) gaskets were oily is that normal??
Why didn't you change the intake gasket itself?
One of my valve is unplug. I can't seem to find where it belongs. Help please.. car keep shaking
I wanted to do it my self but watching this amazing video I need someone to help me. How much a job like this can cost me ? Thank you

@@FlamingSpiderCyclone oh okay , thank you. Where’s your location? It can be you ?
I am not currently taking jobs on other vehicles. I don't have much time to work on my own cars right now with my full time job. Sorry.
@@FlamingSpiderCyclone no problem. Thank you anyways for your knowledge
Ugh I was gonna attempt this but grrrr alot of work
I changed it all and my car still sheke, what should I do?
It may be the Idle control valve or Throttle position sensor. If those have problems, they can cause the car to shake.
