  • Feeling overwhelmed this holiday season? If so, it's time to take care of yourself so that you can actually enjoy this crazy period of the year!
Let's get straight to it. First, we're tackling overall stress build-up with controlled breathing and, my personal favorite, contrast work. I'm going to show you how these simple, but powerful, strategies can quickly cut through your stress and boost your mental focus.
Next, we're zeroing in on the neck. I've got some straightforward exercises that are going to target that tension head-on. You'll learn two exercises that pack a big punch in making you feel and move better in a matter of 90 seconds.
And let's not forget the jaw - a common area for hidden stress. I'll guide you through two specific exercises to release that tension, which is often a key for combatting the increases in stress that seem to surround the holidays.
At ZHealthPerformance, we’re all about giving you the tools you need to optimize your body and brain, especially during the high-stress holiday season. This is your "no frills" guide for a more relaxed holiday and is, in fact, one of the short routines I do almost every day whenever I'm dealing with higher levels of tension than normal.
If you found this useful, make sure to like, share, and subscribe for more practical, effective brain-based training strategies. We hope this helps make this holiday season your most stress-free yet!

I love this contrast technique for relaxation! What section of your curriculum do you cover this?

I have a question and it's related to the warmup shared with us in our foundations training, the one where you rub your temples, "wash your face" comb your hair with your fingers then rub your collarbones, stomach, arms and legs.... Is there a case to be made for the use of this as active recovery since you're waking up the entire body and increasing body temp and resp. rate? I wanted to pose this in the Z-Health Community of Practice group but I've been waiting for a while to be let in now.
