"Why Did I Choose You?" Composed by Michael Leonard, lyrics by Herbert Martin
Michael Leonard作曲、Herbert Martin作詞。1965年ブロードウェイミュージカルのために書かれた曲だそうです。私は敬愛するケニーバレルの演奏で知った一曲です。UA-camを本格的に始めた初期の頃にも一度アップしていて、今回再び収録しました。自分としてはとても愛着がありソロギターでよく演奏するレパートリーの一曲ですが一般的にはあまり知られていない曲かもしれません。
Composed by Michael Leonard, lyrics by Herbert Martin, and written for a Broadway musical in 1965. I learned this song through the performance of Kenny Burrell, whom I admire very much. I uploaded it once in the early days of on my UA-cam channel, and now I recorded it again. I am very attached to this song and often play it as a solo guitar piece in my repertoire, but it may not be well known to the general public.

So beautiful. Best ballad from the musical 'The Yearling' -- Barbra Streisand introduced this tune to a wider audience, circa 1965. Can't imagine a more beautiful solo guitar rendition. Thank you Jun Satsuma.
